It was previously a church and is beautiful inside. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside this day. Our server Lauren was amazing and took great care of us. She had some great menu suggestions. I had the Korean bbq short rib. Wow! My husband chose the smokehouse platter. The appetizer was calamari and we devoured it. My son had the cookie skillet for dessert and we split the cheesecake. Everything was delicious and we can't wait to return!

When my server asked how they were, I said, "I guess OK--they taste like they've been in a Crock-Pot for a few days." Her response? "OK, glad they're edible." Well... that pretty much summed it up. I also ordered a Moscow mule, which came in a regular rocks glass a premade mix no mint sad it's not a freshly made cocktail. Between that and the very limited menu--with several items crossed off--I just wasn't impressed. The atmosphere has a lot of potential, but when "glad it's edible" is the high point of dinner, I think that says enough. Sure if it deserves three stars if you're planning on eating, don't let it be here

I've been to Rochester Brunch House multiple…read moretimes and have always loved it, so while we were in Ann Arbor for a concert, we thought brunch here before heading home would be the perfect way to end our weekend. Unfortunately, I couldn't have been more disappointed. First, the restaurant was unbelievably hot and muggy, which made the entire experience uncomfortable. Our host told us our table was ready, but when we got there, she still had to wipe food and crumbs off from the previous guests, leaving us to sit at a wet table. My husband ordered the brunch burger, I ordered a skillet, and we ordered cinnamon roll pancakes to share. His burger was extremely overcooked. I specifically ordered my skillet with hash browns, but it came with home fries. Normally, I wouldn't make a big deal about a simple mistake, but when I mentioned it, our server responded with, "This is how they made it," as if it was now just my problem. We would have happily waited for it to be remade correctly. The skillet itself was also disappointing. The onions were extremely undercooked and crunchy, there was so much cheese that every bite had strings of cheese stretching across the table, and the eggs I ordered over-medium were over-easy at best. Then there were the cinnamon roll pancakes... which never came. When our server brought the check, she actually asked, "No one brought the pancakes?" Who else was supposed to bring them? She was our server. We also asked for napkins FOUR separate times, and somehow she repeatedly brought us ketchup instead. We never asked for ketchup. We asked for napkins. At that point, it honestly felt like our server was completely checked out. To "make up" for the experience, she brought us a piece of cheesecake that we didn't ask for and don't even eat. After everything that had gone wrong, it felt more insulting than helpful. Between the uncomfortable atmosphere, poorly prepared food, incorrect order, missing food, and terrible service, this was one of the most disappointing brunch experiences we've had. We came in excited and left wishing we had gone anywhere else. Unfortunately, I would NOT recommend dining he

The wind was too high to use the patio, so husband's son and I sat in the bright bar area. It is a lovely restaurant, and our server was very friendly and efficient. We started with the brisket chili because we just had to try this no bean super flavorful meaty cup. It was actually an oval ramekin of chili with melted cheddar on top. I took several bites before husband returned from his trip to the restroom, and then he ate the rest. We loved the chili! Maybe a little salty but otherwise perfect. Husband ordered the brisket and chicken combo with beans and coleslaw. The beans also had brisket in them, but a different flavor profile than the chili. The coleslaw was fresh if not unique. It came with a cornbread loaf and a pile of pickled onions and cucumbers that were really brightly flavored and super enjoyable. Son ordered half a pound of brisket and ate that (and helped his dad finish his too). He had a mac and cheese and waffle french fries as his sides, it's only complaint was he didn't like the cheese on top of the Mac which is totally personal preference. He did not order the combo plate because he ate my corn bread. I ordered the smoked barbecued salmon with green beans and cheddar grits. The grits required salt and pepper, but were tasty and devoured. The green beans had a unique mustard sauce, based on one of their barbecue sauces. Although we ate about half of them, this is probably my least favorite way to have green beans. The salmon was a very generous boneless skinless piece of fish, perfectly cooked tender not dry with a little barbecue sauce on top. I tried a bunch of the sauces and actually preferred the apple, and the spicy. It is fun that there are five different sauces on the table. The North Carolina is very thin and vinegary, which is probably good for drenching brisket. The bark on the brisket was delectable, even though son leaves this behind I ate some! This restaurant doesn't have very many reviews, they have not been open super long. Visit and give them some love! I would happily come back, but would love to see them add some happy hour discounted appetizers and drinks for my next visit.

I've been patronizing Slow's restaurants for over a decade and my latest experience at the Ann Arbor location was really disappointing. The service wasn't great and I had to flag down a waiter to order a second drink. Also, bartenders were just sticking their entire hands into drinks to drop large ice cubes . Pulled pork was fine, but my brisket and chicken were pretty awful. Brisket was dry as heck and a gross grey color. My serving of chicken was basically all gristle and was sitting in a puddle of grease. I'll still trust the Detroit area locations, but Slows A2 isn't worth the $$$ in 2026

When I got to the restaurant there were exactly 5 patrons in the building my friend, and 4 people sitting at a table by the door. My friend approached me at the door we hugged and returned to our table. Once we sat we instantly started a conversation and waited patiently for the waitress to come to our table. Again, the restaurant was not busy and usually in most places I've gone once all the people that are dining arrives the server usually returns. This unfortunately did not happen. We sat for roughly 20 minutes drinking water and reviewing the menu. There were some other people that came into the establishment and sat at the table next to us.The server took drinks to the table by the door which those people were already there and then proceeded to take the order of the people that sat next to my table despite coming in after my friend and I. Needless to say my friend and I left. Because the environment started to feel a bit racist. We sat there extremely patiently not being addressed one time after I joined my friend just to be blatantly ignored for the server to attend to only the white patrons in the building.
