Definitely don't order delivery. Placed the order at 5:45, according to the order slip inside the box. Pizza didn't arrive until almost 8pm. When we called to check if it was coming, kept getting "must be close...it's on the way." When it arrived, it was cold. Crust was rock hard. Tasted nasty. No apology. Nothing. I hope someone from the restaurant management reads this so they understand what's going on with their business. read more

Tonight we had disappointment with the lasagne my daughter ordered. There were a few small pasta pieces but tons of meatsauce and cheese (and grease), it was not a lasagne we ever had before, and we are Italian. We pointed it out when we were leaving but did not receive a kind response from them, instead they defended the dish by showing us the layers in a dish they brought out from the kitchen. How rediculous. As my daughter said, it's ok but you should know most of it is still on the table for you to see yourself. We never complained to the waiter about the dish when she was starting to eat it, she said, I will just eat a little bit but it's not a lasagne. For the record, we order take out a lot, subs and pizza mostly but we will remember to never order that dish again. Not even a small discount was offered! read more

This place is everything you want in a family owned business; great food and great customer service. We love their pizza and we ordered delivery tonight. The 3rd party delivery service messed up our order. We called back and Tina immediately sent out a new pizza AND to our surprise also included a free dessert! Ordered catering order of 3 half trays ($172) for 7 guests. There was very little chicken and trays were only filled with spaghetti and parmigiana cheese... Hardly any chicken that only 4 people got a taste? Very deceiving ! If your catering an event Id definitely look elsewhere Things have definitely changed for I had ordered many times in the past both professionally & personally and never had problems. There's an old joke that says Pizza is like sex, when it's good it's really, really good and when it's bad it's still pretty good. That's Sal's. I've had delicious pizza there, and I've had just OK pizza there. I think it's better when you go in the restaurant and sit down and eat rather than pick up or have it delivered. I would recommend it, but know that you may not get the best pizza the first time you go. Pro tip: NEVER order extra cheese - they go crazy with it and you can't even eat it. read more

We arrived in the Nashville area on Monday evening during the snow and could not find any food whatsoever. Even grocery stores and gas stations were closed, and we don't know anyone locally (we are passing through while moving). With the storm predicted to last all week, we were worried we'd never be able to get any food for our Airbnb. The atmosphere is wonderful and I love the fact that it is a true family owned and operated pizza place, a thing that can be hard to find in the south and especially in the suburbs. And the pizza is fantastic!!! I haven't seen any reviews mentioning the Sicilian Style (deep dish, but not Chicago style) pizza, so I will. Don't miss it! My absolute favorite pizza in Franklin. The people are nice so that is a plus. My gripe is that I wasn't very hungry, so I ordered the pizza slice with heavy onions. I should have posted a picture, but I didn't think about it until I thought about posting this review. Let me explain. Not only did I not get heavy onions, but I got a sorry excuse for a pizza. The onions were cut VERY thin like hair and maybe six or seven pieces of that. Three inches long and 1/64 of an inch wide, no lie! Altogether, there wouldn't be enough to taste. The crust was like cardboard, no sauce, and very little cheese. My daughter ordered a regular pizza which looked and tasted ok, I tried it. If you eat here, beware of the slices. We were in Franklin for a weekend trip and got Sal's on our first night. Delivery was quick. Pizza and pasta were good. The garlic bread left something to be desired, it was really just a slice of cheese and garlic on French bread. Our salad came without dressing and we didn't get our correct dipping sauces. "Sal's Service Sucks" - We recently moved to the area and saw that Sal's had good reviews so I headed over with my kids and placed an order for takeout tonight...two pizzas and a garlic cheese bread. I could see that they had boxed our two pizzas and then I overheard a man, who I assume is the manager/owner, say, "Where are the cheese breads!? None of them have been made!" I nicely asked a female employee, who was not busy at the time, if I could just take the pizzas and cancel the cheese bread order because we had a 20 minute ride home. The manager told her that I was distracting them and she never answered my question. I had already paid for the pizzas and the bread so she could have simply refunded the bread charge. The pizzas sat there for at least 20 minutes before the bread came out and when I mentioned to the manager that we had asked to take the pizzas because they were getting cold his response was, "So everyone in the world has problems!! You don't want the pizzas?! Leave the pizzas! We're busy!!" He kept yelling and going on about having four employees not show up for work. I have worked at a restaurant and I understand that things can get stressful, but this was some of the worst behavior I have personally experienced. Customers shouldn't be yelled at. I was not rude, but the manager at this location is. Honestly, the pizza was mediocre, (it was cold and the crust was tough) so at least I won't feel sad about never going back. Also, if the rude manager reads this, the correct response to my initial question tonight would have been, "I'm so sorry. We are really busy tonight and made a mistake. We'll get that cheese bread refunded. Here are your pizzas." read more

What is worse than an overcooked pizza? The answer is an undercooked pizza. I was terribly disappointed last night to pay $25 for what initially appeared like a beautiful pie only to pick it up and discover a soft doughy mess. You knew good and well when you took this pizza out of the oven it wasn't done. Not sure why you served it. 10/28/17. Decided to try again. This place is horrible. The crust taste like that take and bake stuff from Kroger. Sals used to be your above average down south example for NY style. They charged up to $7.00 more per pizza than their web site prices. They said they "had no control over those prices". They also would not honor a coupon that they emailed me? Accidentally discovered Sal's while wandering around on Memorial Day. What a surprise! The atmosphere was great and, more importantly, the pizza was DELICIOUS!!!! Hubby had a simple sausage and I went with a loaded veggie...both were superb!
