I absolutely loved this place. My Mom is Italian so I place raviolis with a high degree of expectation. I ordered the Raviolis with Provolone e Limone. I cant describe how amazing it is. Better than Mom's (shhh, don't tell her) the ambience is simple. Not even a liquor license. But wine is not why you are here. By far the most impressive. Finished with the Tiramisu. Insanely great. Watch your pastas being made in this open form restaurant. It feels like your own private chefs table in Italy. I truly reccomend this to be a not to miss on your foodie list

Happened upon this hidden gem, a beautiful ravioli kitchen manned by Roberto, a transplant from Sardegna who cranks out fresh, homemade ravioli before your very eyes. While you need a kitchen to prepare the ravioli (you can buy fresh or frozen), even having the chance to watch this master at work is a pleasure. Luckily, the apartment I rented had a kitchen, so I got a hefty serving of fresh ravioli con asparagi e ricotta (ravioli with asparagus and ricotta), then ran to the apartment and cooked them right up. Topped them with some olive tapenade that I'd gotten at Saturday's Farmers' Market, and stuffed my face silly. I will say that since I speak Italian my experience at the shop was extraordinary; but even if you stand and watch, with your mouth wide open -- and no words coming out -- you'll leave quite happy. Grazie mille, Roberto!

i followed the ragu smell on the street and found this kitchen restaurant! the pastas are freshly made and so cool to sit in the kitchen where they supply pastas to restaurants. the italian guy who works there told me that they got a restaurant license, so why not?! sort of reminded me of pasta sisters in el lay. the pastas are so delicious and like eating at someone's home; the tiramisu was the best i have ever had - so light and not too sweet. if you are in the jordaan area, highly recommend! p.s. i told them they should do an underground dinner type of thing and create a dinner tour; we, americans would so eat all up! *figuratively & literally.

Pumpkin, spinach, and artichoke ravioli. Amazing.

Another very nice Italian place in the little Italy street from Amsterdam…read more Don't expect pizza's here though this is a real kitchen! This very small Italian is always packed. In the open kitchen you can see (and hear!) the chef work his magic. The bread, the starters, the fresh home made pasta's and the secondi's are all amazing. They import a lot from Italy themselves, and you can even but a bottle of olive oil here. The place is full of ferrari signs, foto's of Sophia Loren, etc. It feels like a second home. Great for a nice romantich night out or a double date, maybe not so good if you go with more then 4 people, as the place is very small. Expect to spend about 115 euro for 2 persons incl a bottle of wine. Make sure you reserve a table!

On the outside it doesn't look all too fancy. Inside, the tables are closely arranged; making getting up from your table quite a challenge at times. However the waitress was friendly, and the atmosphere cosy. I had the truffle tagliatelle, which tasted excellent, but sadly wasn't cooked properly; it stuck together. Same goes for the pasta with sausage we had. Maybe the secondi taste better, but I'm not prone to go check them out after this experience. All in all, good service, but for the pricing they might pay a little more attention to the food.
