In a town full of Italian restaurants, the chef at Di Bruno remembers that food is art. Not just in the presentation but in the complimentary flavors of the ingredients. The service is equally excellent. Do yourself a favor and book a table for a great experience.

The atmosphere in here is very nice, and it had air conditioning. There was music, and candles on each table. The only takeaway from the atmosphere was that there were some dead flies on the window ledge. The service was very quick and the waitress was kind. The menu was in three languages- Italian, Dutch, and English. The menu is not the kid friendliest one out there, a lot of the dishes contain spices or oils that kids may not like. For example, we ordered the parmesan risotto, but sadly, that contained black truffles that have a taste that most children, including my daughter, are incredibly sensitive to. Still, the staff were incredibly understanding and created a kid-friendly tomato risotto for her. The dishes all have a salty taste that's yet to be acquired for, but overall, this was a very pleasant a experience.

Went back for Sunday late lunch with some friends. It was quite empty at 13:30 but this isn't a bad thing. We were greeted by the usual friendly service, olives and lemony beetroot then bruschetta and bread with pesto before our actual food. I got the mozzarella again - I can't recommend it enough! My husband got carpaccio and our friends the soup of the day. Mains were white wine and clam pasta, ravioli of the day, lasagna and linguini all Atice (lobster, leek, chilli). It was fantastic as last time. We got introduced to the chef and the "maestro" owner - I believe the father of the manager. Great service again, good music, tiramisu to take away and he even remembered us.

FABULOUS! We walked by Di Brunno on our first walk around Amsterdam and came back for dinner because we needed something close to the hotel after many hours of travel. On a Sunday night at 7pm we were seated right away. The best part was being served by Bruno the whole night! From what we could tell, Bruno serves everyone and only entertains using his staff occasionally. The most magnificent part of this meal was a homemade pappardelle with black truffle mushrooms tossed on top of a flame-melted Parmesan wheel. You have never seen anything like it. The grilled calimari, fish special, and antipasti was lovely as well. All in all a very good value for such a fantastic meal. Service isn't the quickest, but it's such an enjoyable experience you hardly notice. We'd absolutely recommend to anyone visiting- or living in- Amsterdam!

Lobster and clam linguine. Yum in the tum!

Service is interesting - only one waiter who takes the order and brings the food and drinks, one busboy, one person you pay at the cash register. One chef you see through the window. Ambiance is cozy and rustic. House wine is Montepulciano and its medium body and delicious. Salad was fresh and seafood pasta was large amount of pasta and seafood. Highly recommended!

Boy, we got lucky that we did. My parents and I have been in Europe for almost two weeks now and I kept thinking that I was in Italy the entire time while at this restaurant, as we did so much traveling. It was within walking distance of the hotel we were staying at, which was a plus. The restaurant is so small that it only has about eight tables and one waiter doing all the work, plus two chefs working in the kitchen. During our time there, lots of people that did not have a reservation were being turned away. We were seated at a table that had a decent view of the kitchen, though trying to get into my seat was a little tight. We started off with a glass of Pinot Grigio white wine, which is basically what we've been drinking at like every restaurant during our trip. This time, rather than sharing a bottle that was at our table, we just had the wine from the glass. After trying out so many different kinds of white wines over the past two weeks, I think I've grown to enjoy them so far. The food here was outstanding and delicious. I had the Pasta Bolognese, my dad had the ham and mushroom pizza, and my mom had the ravioli. The pasta just exploded with flavor in my mouth, including the Bolognese itself. My dad commented that this was one of the best pizzas he's ever had so far, and my mom commented that her ravioli was super flavorful, including the sauce that came with it. This is your taste of Italy right here in Amsterdam. Would highly recommend to other people!
