I'm especially obsessed with their green chocolate, every piece has a surprise flavor inside that melts in your mouth. The gentlemen working there were also very kind and wrapped my gift beautifully. The staff is knowledgeable but not friendly. Usually all of their desserts, while expensive, are pretty good but their newest scoopable cookie sundae was AWFUL. Like so bad where I am taking a star off. It was literally a crushed up already baked cookie that they microwaved and put a scoop of basic ice cream on top. It looked nothing like advertised and will go down as one of the biggest let downs I've ever had. The cookie is supposed to be pretty much raw, not fully baked... So if you want to try the latest and greatest dubai trends and pay a premium for other viral desserts, Roasted is your place. I for sure will come back for Turkish delights but that's probably it. Ps, skip that cookie sundae unless they get their act together!

And Saturday night, just don't bother- the whole plaza was chaos. Too many people. I actually have an allergy to cigarettes and too many people were milling about smoking- so here I was speed walking to get inside to escape the smell only to be bombarded with a completely different smell that wrecked my sinuses. The whole place smells of insanely strong perfume! It's so bad- you will taste it in your food! So- no matter how amazing the chocolate is, the environment ruins the experience. My appetite was ruined. I left with a horrible headache and couldn't wait to get back home to shower! I wanted the epic, chocolate indulging, fountains flowing experience. I thought it would tickle the senses- I couldn't even smell chocolate. Visual- 5 stars, looks amazing Taste- 3 stars, impacted by smell Everything else- 1 star

The apple juice was confusing at first because it came in separate layers in the cup, but once mixed, it was amazing. Had to stop myself from chugging it. The mint lemonade is out of this work. So minty and fresh. Perfect for a hot day, pool day, or day at the beach.

We were overwhelmed by the sheer amount of sweets from Arabic ice cream, to gelato, to homemade candies, to Dubai Chocolate bars, and so much more. I walked by a gentleman taking pictures of Dubai Chocolate croissants. I was chatting with him, Andre I believe is his name, about how I've been on a Dubai Chocolate kick and to my surprise he said I don't work here but I'm the creator of the Dubai Chocolate Baklava Arabic ice cream sandwich. He then proceeded to cut some fresh baklava, split that in half like an ice cream sandwich, added some Arabic vanilla ice cream, topped it with some fresh pistachio cream and kataifi, put the top of the baklava on, drizzled with pistachio and chocolate, then finished off with some crushed pistachios. One bite of this dessert had me floating on cloud 9. Absolutely an experience for your taste buds. Wow! You've got to try this. Wife and and I also shared an iced matcha with Ube that was vibrant in color and tasted wonderful. Overall we were very pleased with the top notch service from all of the kind staff. We will most definitely be back.

I can think of at least 7-10 places instantly that have better baklava which is a shame for a place with such a high reputation. Back when they first opened up, I remember the ice cream always tasted fresh and they were constantly hammering away at it as part of the experience, but that seems to have died down. Service isn't great in my opinion, they use the same serving utensils across many of the desserts so if you are allergic to nuts, be very cautious on anything you order here unless they get it immediately from a new container. Even when I questioned it, they did not want to open a new container and instead offered to clean the utensil even though the current product already had been cross contaminated. If you want a water cup to go along with your dessert, forget it, you have to buy a bottle. This just doesn't scream good customer service to me and instead I feel more as a consumer rather than a person; usually you feel like family in restaurants like this. Ambiance is 10/10, very clean and trendy; Instagram would approve.

I missed out on trying one when I was in Budapest but ended up getting to try them in Germany and absolutely loved them. A chimney cake has dough that is wrapped around a cone shape that is rotated over heat. Actually now I have TWO options, which I must admit initially confused me when I looked up Twisted Rolls on the map. It turns out this is their food truck that they run a relatively short distance from their permanent storefront. When we ordered they actually recommended going to the store if we wanted a place to sit down while eating. This was really appreciated and sound advice because this is honestly a weird setup. The food trucks are in the parking lot of Bull Market, which wasn't large to begin with. Because of that there's a 15 minute time limit for parking and the whole space is really cramped. We definitely agreed that next time the storefront is the way to go BUT this is a great option for the youths at USF to grab a treat. As for the chimney cake itself? It was just as I remembered (as in wonderful). They put ice cream inside of it and it's a combo that can't be beat.

My husband and I absolutely loved Bakery 1908! It's such a fun experience from the minute you walk…read morein. You grab a tray and a pair of tongs and make your way through the bakery, with separate glass display cases for the sweet and savory pastries. You just pick whatever looks good -- which is dangerous because everything looks good! First of all, the prices are fantastic. Most of the buns are under $4. My absolute favorite was the ham and cheese bun. The bun is slightly sweet and the ham and cheese are savory, and the combination is SO good. The blueberry bun was another favorite -- it almost had a blueberry cheesecake flavor. We also tried the curry bun, which was delicious. We ordered several of the hot items too. The har gow (shrimp dumplings) were outstanding. They have a delicate steamed wrapper filled with plump, juicy shrimp, and these were honestly some of the best I've ever had. I've eaten in multiple restaurants in Chinatown in both Los Angeles and San Francisco, so that's saying a lot! The Shanghai dumplings, which are little soup dumplings filled with meat and broth, were also delicious. We also tried the steamed pork ribs. The flavor was very good, but steamed pork has a different appearance and there were some fatty pieces. I'm glad we tried them, but they're probably the one thing I wouldn't order again. Another huge plus was the pricing on the hot food -- every hot entrée we looked at was under $10. Between the two of us, we ordered seven different things, couldn't even finish everything, and our entire check was only $46. Great quality, great variety, and an incredible value. I will definitely be back. I was going to say I wish there were one closer to us...but maybe it's a good thing there isn't, because I would probably eat those ham and cheese buns every day! Five stars!

Extremely disappointing customer service, especially from the manager…read more I placed an order for two milk tea drinks at 1:24 PM. While waiting, I watched another customer receive her drinks even though I was already ahead of her by approximately four customers in line. At 1:32 PM, I approached the gentleman at the counter to ask about my order. He did not greet me or acknowledge me. He looked at my receipt, looked at his watch, and dismissively said, "It's not even 10 minutes." He then asked me, "What do you want to do?" When I asked what he meant, he told me I could either wait or get my money back. He checked in the back and came back telling me it would be another five minutes. I agreed to wait. Five minutes later, instead of simply addressing the delay or apologizing, he told me I could grab a bun while I waited. I explained that I already had a bun and that, considering the inconvenience and the way the situation was handled, I felt a discount would have been an appropriate gesture. Instead, he offered to refund my money and gave me another receipt without the drinks. The most disappointing part was Norman, the manager. At no point did he apologize, acknowledge the inconvenience, or make any genuine effort to resolve the situation professionally. As a manager, I expected him to step in, listen to the customer, and demonstrate some level of courtesy and accountability. Instead, his attitude left me with the very clear impression that he simply did not care whether he had my business or not. I completely understand that a bakery can get busy and that orders can sometimes take longer than expected. The issue wasn't simply the wait--it was the attitude and the complete lack of customer service. A simple apology and a professional response could have completely changed the experience. Unfortunately, I left feeling dismissed and unappreciated as a customer. Management should understand that customers remember how they are treated, especially when something goes wrong. I will not be returning, and I hope the owners take this feedback seriously and address how customers are being treated by management.
