I have officially given this Saltgrass location all the chances I am willing to give. Four visits among co-workers, friends, and family. Different days, different times have all had the same outcome. Why I thought a holiday weekend at 3:45 PM would somehow be better is between me and my optimism! We wanted outdoor seating... should have taken it as a sign when we were told they were not seating outside. We stayed anyway because we were initially told that they would "fit" us in around their reservations. Spoiler alert: plenty of empty tables when we left, so maybe short-staffed? Maybe a mystery? Who knows. Bathroom was already out of paper towels, which really set the tone. Our server clearly needed a break and was spread thin--thankfully we had a water pitcher on the table because our teas ran dry and stayed that way. Hydration was the highlight. Food-wise: the grilled shrimp was undercooked, the Brussels sprouts were very committed to being overcooked, and everything tasted like it knew it was mid-day food that just wanted to clock out. It is especially disappointing because I know other Saltgrass locations are good. This one just is not it. We had a beautiful experience at Saltgrass Steakhouse. First of all we started with a glass of wine in the lounge before our dinner reservations. Once we moved to our table, we were on the patio outside, overlooking the river. It was beautiful. Our server, Layla, offered us wonderful advice on our selections from the Range Rattlers app, to the T-bone steak to the loaded potato soup. Layla was an attentive server throughout our meal, ready to help meet every request or question. Even some friendly chatting with her made the evening memorable. We went to this place while visiting Branson because we had a gift card for my daughter's birthday. I wouldn't expect it to be anything spectacular but the waitress made it better than spectacular and my daughter really enjoyed herself. Upon arriving, it was extreme cold and we want to wear about the park at the landing so that was crazy trying to figure out but they made sure we sit us in the warm spot once we were inside the restaurant. Very thankful for that. The restaurant wasn't overly packed, but everything we got from the service to the food was five stars. All the drinks we had and the appetizers in the food came out. It was very flavorful and the portions were very good size. I'm not usually a fan of fried vegetables, but I'd eat those fried women's and fried asparagus any day. They made my daughter's birthday extra special by singing, happy birthday and giving her free cheesecake and also giving her and her friends pitchers of Sprite because they kept asking for refills lol it was actually quite funny that the waitress went along with it. We came here for my birthday dinner on 10/27! When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by a hostess who sat us right away. We asked to move to a booth once we arrived at the table and she found us one without delay. Our server was Laura. She was wonderful: Attentive, friendly, and she gave great recommendations. I had something from the "Paired for You" menu. I had top sirloin and grilled shrimp with a side of Mac n cheese. Everything was delicious and I'm pretty picky the mac n cheese wasn't my favorite but it was still really good. It's tough to find a great Mac n cheese in general unless it's homemade I had the choice of a soup or salad with my entree and I chose the potato soup. It was thick and creamy; not too bland and not over-seasoned. It was just right. My mom had the Chicken Laredo with mashed potatoes and salad. She loved the amount of dressing it was served with (not too little and not too much). Her croutons were homemade - she doesn't usually like croutons but she LOVED these! We had planned to save some of our meal for lunch the next day. She finished hers and I ate most of mine, I only saved it because I didn't want it to end!! We had a carrot cake to-go (this was a gift from our server, thank you so much Laura) and it was amazing. It was a slower night as it was a Monday; the setting was peaceful and calm. My in-laws and I recently visited Saltgrass Steak House to celebrate my husband's birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. To start, our waiter Jorge, was wonderful--attentive, friendly, and the highlight of our visit. We ordered two appetizers and four 9 oz filets (priced at $39 each), with three cooked medium and one medium-well. However, things quickly went downhill when our food arrived. The woman delivering our meals was rude from the start. When my mother-in-law politely asked for more butter, she responded in an aggravated tone, "Can I pass out everyone's plates first?"--as if we were asking for something unreasonable. The bigger issue was with the steaks themselves. My father-in-law's filet looked nothing like the others--it was much thinner (about 1 inch compared to the 2-2.5 inch thickness of the rest) and resembled a sirloin more than a filet. When we questioned it, the server claimed they had to slice it in half to cook it medium-well, which didn't make sense and clearly wasn't done properly. His steak was severely overcooked and inedible. My mother-in-law's steak was also incorrect--it was cooked rare instead of her requested temperature, and she couldn't eat hers either. So only 2 out of the 4 steaks were prepared correctly. The manager stopped by briefly before we had even cut into our meals and asked if everything "looked good," but didn't give us a real chance to assess the food. When we later raised concerns and asked to have the two incorrect meals removed from the bill, his response was disappointing. Instead of apologizing, he said, "I wish you would have told me when I came by the first time," even though we hadn't yet had the opportunity to check our food. Overall, the lack of accountability and poor customer service from both the food runner and the manager made an already frustrating situation worse. It's unfortunate, because we were there to celebrate a special occasion. I sincerely hope future guests are treated with more professionalism and respect than we were. read more

But since we live in Branson, Missouri, we visit the local restaurants on a regular basis. We always feel like we're family at the Saltgrass Steakhouse at the Branson Landing. Have ate at several salt grass locations this one was an absolutely awful experience!!! The service was horrible and so slow. They were not even that busy when we were there. Got our orders wrong, once we finally got our actual food it was lukewarm and mediocre at best. We waited nearly an hour which wasn't a huge issue as it was expected. However we spent another 2 hours there between getting seated and eating our food. It was literally 20 min before an appetizer made it out, then our soups and salads were close to 30 minutes later followed by our food another 30+ minutes later. By the time we got our food none of us were even hungry anymore just irritated and ready to leave. Our waiter was really good he did his best but overall it was terrible experience I was embarrassed for recommending it to our group as most of them had never had it before and likely never will again. If you're eating on the landing, definitely look into another restaurant. read more

We love Saltgrass we even went the next night to the restaurant and had steak dinner.. $160 bc we tipped good. All I'm needing is for our $39.36 to be refunded. "What an Absolute Trainwreck of a Meal and Experience" If I could give zero stars, I would. Saltgrass Grill in Branson has redefined terrible service, incompetent management, and inedible food. Let's start with the takeout: promised ready at 6:45 PM, yet I stood there waiting until 7:45 PM like a fool. Apparently, time means nothing to this establishment. No apology, no explanation--just blank stares and attitude from the staff. When I finally got my food, I thought, "At least now I can enjoy it." Oh, how wrong I was. The steak wasn't just burnt--it was charred and shriveled to a charcoal briquette. It looked and tasted like something scraped off the bottom of a filthy grill. The shrimp? Overcooked rubber bullets. I wouldn't serve this to my worst enemy, let alone feed it to my family. But the real star of this disaster was the management. When after an hour post pickup time I asked what the status was, the manager was rude, dismissive, and as helpful as a screen door on a sinking ship. Instead of addressing the problem, I was essentially told, "Too bad; it is what it is." Apparently, quality customer service is too woke of a concept here. Save your money, your time, your stomach and your sanity. Saltgrass Grill in Branson is an embarrassment to the restaurant industry.
