I had Salten Pools assess my pool pump issue. Kyle was my service technician and I was very happy with the service I received. The motor had been replaced about a year earlier and it appeared that the motor was running fine, but the pump side was not moving any water despite me priming the pump. Kyle looked at it through the pump cover with his hand and immediately determined that the diffuser was broken. This was done without him needing the uncouple the pump side from motor side. He cautioned me that there could be more than the diffuser once the internal inspection was complete and that he would need to replace the two pump seals once he took apart the pump. He also warned me that this Jandy Stealth pump was very old and that parts could be an issue. He located the model number on the pump body (thankfully it was still visible) and that this would help us possibly locate parts for it. However, he stated that Jandy's documentation was not always clear on certain part numbers for different parts as models changed through the years and that depending on what manual was located, there could be errors/confusion. Anyway, we eventually got it figured out after the pump was taken apart. I needed a new diffuser, impeller and backing plate (along with seals). It turned out that the tapped screw holes on the backing plate had corroded away over time allowing the screws that hold diffuser to the backing plate to come loose and the diffuser breaking. As you can see by my description, Kyle was super engaged and kept me informed and educated me on all aspects of the repair which I greatly appreciated. Since we needed to acquire the parts over a few days, Kyle was great in communicating his schedule and availability to complete the repair once the parts were obtained. In summary, Salten Pools and Kyle rocked it on this repair and I will be using them for my repairs of my pool equipment in the future. Super impressed. Thanks Kyle and Salten Pools! read more

Was ok at start of service. However, over time the service wasn't great. We experienced a fairly responsible weekly service technician who did a good job, however, there was a common theme over time with things like random pool issues that didn't exist with our prior service. In the less than a year service, our bill average 225 per month, this includes the "added" chemicals and maintaining the pool. We had three repairs as well as a result of their service that were not completed by them, but rather our home warranty. If we didn't use our warranty and opted to use them, we would have spent several hundred dollars on something that only cost 75.00. They tried to state our pool water needed to be changed, b/c the chemicals weren't working. We had the water tested several times and found this wasn't true. Again a charge of several hundred dollars. Last draw was this last month! The technician was changed. The NEW technician lolly gagged around the pool for 12 minutes each cleaning. This was verified and recorded on my ring video. The tec only skimmed the pool, empty the pool basket and that's its. Didn't brush walls or floor of pool. He never turned the pool pump /skimmer either. Last months of service was non existent. Also, they bill one month in advance for their service. If you don't pay by the mid month, you'll receive an email daily until you pay. I finally was fed up! I complained. I was told my expectations are too high and that they will no longer service me. Funny... you try to hold a company accountable for a service you pay a premium for and they just walk!!! Long story short... I now clean my own pool... and it has never loomed better. I have worked for Salten Pools as an office manager since June of 2022, and I don't think I've ever been this happy at a job. They hired me for my experience in invoicing, knowing I had no background in pools. They allowed me the time to get acclimated, and every question I had was answered. They don't micro manage, and they allow me to make decisions as a leader. I have only been employed with them for 7 months and they consider me apart of the management team. I am encouraged to voice my opinions, provide feedback, and to help grow the company. I have only worked for one other small business (family owned) and I cannot even begin to explain how vastly Salten stands out in comparison. My last job paid drastically less (I had to work 2 jobs to make ends meet), asked considerably more, and simply saw me as a $ amount on a spreadsheet. The owners of Salten (Colten & Shannon) have made it very clear from day one that they did not start this business for the money (anyone in the pool world knows it is not a lucrative industry). They saw a need for their family and friends, and that was a job that provided consistency, good compensation, flexibility, and room to grow, with a family like atmosphere. Anytime I've been sick, had appointments, family emergencies, etc. I have been given the day off with pay. When I started with Salten I honestly was just desperate to find any work that allowed me to pay my bills comfortably, and didn't leave me miserable at the end of the day. I wasn't certain what the future held professionally, but now I can see myself with them for as long as they'll have me. I know we aren't perfect (no business is), but we have the unique ability to introduce and implement changes almost immediately, and I am excited to see where we go in 2023. read more

For anyone looking for a locaL pool cleaning service, THIS IS THE ONE‼ Over the years, I never met anyone so informed and helpful as Chase was today! *Honest! *Reliable! *Knowledgeable/Informative! *Communicates! *Caring! *Listens patienty! I have had some bad luck over the last two years finding a service that knows what they're doing and to actually do the job. Chase went above and beyond! He could see the filter hasnt been cleaned regularly, water was flowing through pipes that shouldn't be. My salt system might actually work and could potentially save me $1,100. The last few services never said it wasnt working and just assumed i knew. I didnt though. My current service was over shocking my pool, cutting corners and Chase figured it out when i had no clue! Even though i paid a month in advance, i dropped my current service and having Salten Pools service my pool weekly starting immediately and i now know I'm in good hands! Finally! Thank You Chase! Had a new pool build completed in May and hired them for weekly service right out of the gates. They weren't brushing my pool or taking care of it like they said they would. They skipped my pool and when i reached out about it they didn't apologize or anything. No offer to compensate. Another time my pool wasn't brush and I know this because there was algae all over my pool. When I reached out they ignored me, didn't respond at all until I reached out to cancel service. I paid for the PRX pod and one was never put in my equipment. When I canceled I asked where it was so i could be sure to remove it when it expired and it was never to be found. My pool has a cooling pump there's no reason for chlorine to burn off quickly and they weren't balancing chemicals, or brushing it. They literally showed up dropped tabs in the floater and left, and the complete and utter lack of care when I reached out was apparent. My brand new pool now has staining. Do not hire them. read more
