This place is a joke, not sure how it has received any 5 star reviews. The only thing I can think is all these local people have been dying to get an establishment like this and the lake air is clouding their judgement. The Tampa location is one of a kind and this proves you cannot add a different location with the same name. There was no hostess at the front, I had to walk in to find someone. It truly is not the hostess' fault because they had her running around cleaning tables etc instead of focusing at the front right where the sign says wait to be seated. One good thing I will say is that the wait was minimal even after I had to chase someone down. Weekday afternoons like 2pm appear to be the best time. There were so many flies in the inside area where we sat, so who knows what was going on for people outside. It was comical watching everyone swatting them away so it was not just me. I had the classic Pina colada which is a must for the Tampa location BUT the server took so long to pick up my drink from the bar it was half melted by the time it arrived to me and look at the poor pineapple....it has seen better days. Trust me I know how long it took for it to be retrieved from the bar because I watched it just sitting there. The food was blahhhh and hey maybe it is was what I chose? Had the pork sandwhich w/fries. I know I know I am at a seafood place but after sitting and taking things in I did not feel like ordering seafood. This location has only been here about a month and I highly recommend a visit. Very good time. Had to wait 45 minutes on a Thursday night but sitting by the lake made it nice for conversation with my wife. The food was delicious with daily specials and RJ was a delight to have as our server. The first time I had the conch fritters they were large and fluffy. This time they used a smaller scoop and were dry and less amount. The gator bites were also smaller and less amount. Good vibe to the place. The music inside was very loud making it hard to hear the waiter. I got the wings with their datil sauce. I very much disliked it. My wife was the opposite. She enjoyed them. I had to wipe the sauce off with napkins to eat them. She had a fish sandwich which was ok. I wish there was a buffalo sauce option for the wings. The wings were big and juicy so points for that. This was our fourth time here and I couldn't believe some of the prices compared to what you get. I asked for the lobster bisque and so did a friend of mine. We were both served a coffee cup full of soup, however, at their price point of $8.95, I thought it should've at least been a bowl. The thing that made it worse was when we asked for crackers, our waitress informed us that there would be a charge. I've never been to a restaurant where you were charged for crackers to go with your soup. I think that is one of the cheapest and money grabbing things you could do to your customers. We enjoyed a late lunch on the back patio overlooking the lake. What a great atmosphere. We were seated promptly. Our waitress was friendly and gave great recommendations. All the staff were really nice. We ordered the steamed clams - it came in a big pot and the broth was delicious, the clams were a great size and tender. It came with garlic toast. My husband tried the conch chowder and said it was full of conch and very good. For my entree I had to try the Jackfruit tacos and chose yuca fries with no chorizo sauce as my side. The Jackfruit looked like pulled pork and had a tangy bbq sauce. I liked it very much but it was a little spicy. I'm glad I only ordered two because they were filling. I enjoyed the yuca fries and was glad it only came with four. My husband had the chicken sandwich and really enjoyed it. The prices are very reasonable and portions are good. Food came, did not look appealing, my husband had the fried fish bites, they were soggy and cold. My husband will normally eat anything! He never complains. I had the chicken sandwich which was cold, tasted like it was boiled and they forgot my fries. Oh yeah, still trying to get a glass of water. Flagged down someone again asking for the fries they forgot. 20 minutes later fries came out hot, they were the best thing we had! I guess it was a blessing that they forgot them. We told the waitress our concerns about the food. She apologized and said they are very short staff and the manager would come over and speak with us. Well as you can guess, that never happened. I tried this restaurant last week based on Yelp reviews while looking for a dinner option in Downtown Clermont. A good choice! They just recently opened, and it's a beautiful location with lots of seating options inside and out. Outdoors they do have heaters, so we still had a lovely February evening on the water. You can even sit in chairs on the beach if you'd like. There is plenty of seating inside as well. Service was prompt and attentive, and our food tasted good as well. We didn't see kids meals listed on the menu but they do have a few options that we were told verbally, though I opted to juat have my daughter eat some of our own entrees. Calamari (appetizer) was delicious, the jackfruit tacos were good, and the chimichurri steak was cooked nicely. That said. Will never go back. My son got the catch of the day and the bed of rice that was under it was under cooked. As in crunchy. Hard. Inedible. I actually accidentally bit myself because I wasn't expecting uncooked rice. (Who does?) My daughter had the shrimp and it was overly fishy-tasting. The server wasn't attentive. Took a a long time to be served. Refills on drinks were not timely. I asked to change the sides of my meal and do double vegetables. She gave me double everything else. She "fixed it" by bringing me out a tiny bit of broccolini. She never asked how our meal was. Didn't ask about the amount of food left on our plates. When it was time to pay and there was a question about "how we did" she pressured us to skip that part. She was so friendly, attentive, helpful, and funny. The food was fresh, hot, and quick. Drinks were on point. The view, and the place is so welcoming, and such a great spot on the lake. Stopped in with friends on a hot, sunny Saturday afternoon for lunch. Got right in. We chose to dine inside where the A/C was cranking. First time here. The place was very busy, a little loud, lots of families. The interior is very plain but surprisingly big and airy. Lots of windows overlooking the lake, there's lot of outdoor seating, and small boaters pulled right up on the beach in front of the restaurant. The food was delicious! We had Fish (grouper) tacos, a shrimp basket, and a crab cake sandwich. Everything was very fresh and light tasting. Our server was very helpful.
