Salt & Sizzle offers extra patio space so you can enjoy your drink or food outdoors. Sit back under an umbrella while taking in the sights.

Saturday during the afternoon it was a packed house. I was curious to see what the hype was about so I arrived later. Once I arrived one of the staff quickly informed us the kitchen was close. No food order only drinks. We order 2 margarita. It was delicious and flavorful. She wasn't cheap at all with the liquor. Lol

I didn't expect their frozen drinks to be so good. Everything was pricey in my opinion. But I enjoyed my frozen drink. Service was straight forward and informative. Many seating available

This was my first time here and they had similar choices to the rest of the boardwalk but also some unique items like the shrimp tacos I had. My friend ordered the chicken tenders and fries which were good and the fries were fresh cut and crispy. The food came out quickly and we were able to snag a table since people were leaving. I loved the shrimp tacos they were big and stuffed and the flavor was delicious just a bit messy as I ended up with sauce all over my hands! I also enjoyed the coleslaw that cane with it but it could have used a little pepper. Would definitely come again.

I'm prefacing this review with sharing that all I got were frozen drinks. And they were GREAT. I ordered a frozen margarita and the frozen vodka and red bull. They were perfect. The perfect frozen smooth consistency, took a long time to melt even in the heat, and they were strong. This spot is located directly on the boardwalk and they offer food as well. See the photo for a menu reference.

Super good tacos. The fish is crispy and extremely flavorful. It comes with a side of coleslaw, which was OK. Love all the fresh veggies of tomatoes and onions on top of the taco. No complaints!

The location is great and that's about it. Fish and chips $16 with 2 over fried fish sticks. Two fish tacos for $16 with the same over fried fish in the tacos. The loaded fries were $10 but they came with A LOT of fries. The nachos were $11 but they were cold. You can grab a bite here if you're hungry but it's overpriced and poor quality. Most of the restaurants look like they have basic burgers, hot dogs, etc. that are overpriced. The drinks looked good but expensive. A small beer $8... It's a tourist trap and just expensive fast food. I'm a Brooklynite so this was outrageous for me.

We were hungry after watching the hot dog contest and decided with the crazy lines at Nathan's, we needed something different. We come to Coney island quite a bit and noticed that this place had reopened with a new name. Hey let's do it! We went inside and were greeted by the servers moving around at a feverish pace. The decor is simple, clean, nautical, shrimp shanty with its white tables with splashes of royal blue. You pretty much can sit anywhere, order from the table and pay in cash or you can walk up to the counter and pay with cards. Mixed drinks were a little pricier that I expected,, but beers were priced okay. We decided on a beer, a soda, and a order of fish and chips. Everything is cooked to order so it took about 15 minutes for the food to come out. The fries were actually really good it was cut potatoes! The fish was pretty decent but it needed to be in the fryer a little longer (there was a little residual wet batter) so I ended up taking half of the food home for the next day. All in all, this was great! Our whole bill including the tip was under $30. We know we can pick up something tasty when we come back over the warm months. Thanks guys!

Steak tacos and a Blue Hawaiian

I've been wanting to try out this place for a while now and I have been here twice (once just for soda) and recently for the steak tacos and the blue Hawaiian drink. In the two times I've come here, the staff has been rude. They are not friendly at all. The steak tacos were not very good. They have flavor but the steak was very rubbery and hard to chew. The blue Hawaiian was very good. My reason for wanting to try here was due to the fact it looked like such a relaxing place to visit. I recently had two deaths in my family and decided to come to coney to clear my mind. I will try here again but only for drinks. I don't think the food is worth it. The food and service could've been so much better.

Being on the boardwalk, I just wanted something nice, and cold. There were no lines, and the drink was decent. Frozen drinks are $14.

Worst blue Hawaiian, told the bartender for an exchange he proceeded in wanting to charge me. He spoke to his boss and he still charged me.

Incredibly greasy food. They need to figure out their fry oil temps because the food was like an oil soaked sponge.

Unfortunately a lot of the rolls we wanted to get like beef brisket and curry fish balls ran out, also too is the sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf. We ended up settling for roast pork rice roll, and a beef version, and lastly fish ball version. They make it from scratch which is nice to see while the ingredients are chopped up to small pieces. I do wish they put more ingredients in but for the price they charge (average of $2.75 per roll), no complaints there. There is one small table outside to eat in but no indoor seating or bathroom. I would give 3 strong stars.

The rice noodles were smooth and soft, the proportions of ingredients to rice roll were well-balanced, and the soy sauce was flavorful. I enjoyed every bite!

The spinach salad was the other appetizer and it was decent too. For the main course, I had the calmari and it was 3/5. All in all, the food was decent (3/5). The service was very good. But I didn't like a few things - first, it was hard to find. Second - there aren't enough restrooms, which created long lines. I walked out of Beer Island and right behind them on the boardwalk is Steve's Grill House, a large walk up counter with a huge selection of food (pizza, hot dogs, sausage, cheesesteaks, hamburgers, chicken, seafood, snacks, and so on). I wasn't expecting culinary greatness, just some cheap unhealthy beach grub. I ordered 2 corn on the cobs, a cheeseburger, and chicken fingers with french fries. There were no prices posted so I had no idea what it would cost, it came out to $17 which was fairly reasonable. The reason for my 1 star is very simple, this was the worst food I have ever eaten in my life. The chicken fingers were cold; the fries were barely warm and soggy; the burger was small, tough, and dry; and the corn was obviously just sitting in lukewarm water because it was tasteless and extremely soggy and inedible. To make matters much worse is when I first sat down with the corn I discovered an ant deeply wedged between two soggy kernels. I'm completely insulted that anyone would not only serve people that kind of previously frozen, overcooked, cold, and tasteless food but that they would have the nerve to charge for it. I'm not sure if there's any place on the boardwalk any better than this but learn from my mistake and stay away from this one.
