This is located in terminal one at RDU. Don't waste your time or money! I am so disappointed in my breakfast bowl that I ordered this morning. The menu says you can get chicken, sausage, or bacon. Not true. They only offer bacon and it's limp bacon at that. I honestly should have opted for one of the airport grab-and-go options instead. The woman put about a tablespoon of "scrambled eggs" in my bowl and then took some out of my bowl. I've included a picture. I stirred the food up but hadn't taken a bite yet. The eggs definitely came in a carton. This bowl is embarrassing for $16. I expect high prices at the airport but then also expect to get the food that I'm paying for. Would definitely NOT recommend. I was traveling through Raleigh and had time to stop here in the airport and must say it is wonderful. The selection of vegetables is more substantial than I had ever seen! And it tastes delicious. I had the steak bowl w rice and black beans. Got every single vegetable and the bowl was heaping but healthy. I was actually pleasantly surprised by this Salsarita's in Terminal One. Terminal One has such limited food, so options are scarce. I got a bowl and the employees were friendly and efficient. I also appreciated that they had fountain soda, not just the bottles. The toppings looked fresh and everything tasted okay. It was fast and just what I needed before my flight. For $12 I got some rice, beans, cilantro, tomatoes and cheese and a tiny spoonful of salsa in a tortilla. The liquid from the beans went absolutely everywhere. All of the salsa was in the middle so most of the burrito was severely dry in my mouth. There were no pop out flavors, no wow factor. Reasonable place for a quick meal at RDU Terminal 1. The employees are friendly and efficient. The set-up is similar to Chipotle. Choose your entree, protein, toppings, and sides. I opted for a chicken taco with chips and salsa. They piled the taco with ample selected toppings (corn salsa, cilantro, lettuce, etc.). The chips are crisp and seasoned. For the salsa you can pick the spice level. All the ingredients are fresh and tasty. It is a little pricy, but so are all the other restaurants at the airport. Our order was made quickly and we sat in the nearby dining area. Overall, Salsarita was a good option for a quick, nutritious meal. read more

I of course did the bowl and mixed chicken and steak. I put mostly anything on including heir queso! WINNER!!!! Probably top 3 best bowls I've ever had! Terminal 1 has only 3 food outlets. I chose Salsaritas and it absolutely exceeded my expectations! The young lady at the counter was very nice and very fast. I had nachos with chicken and a host of other toppings. They were AMAZING and at around $8, were quite a bargain. The order served two of us and we were both stuffed when we finished. I usually don't give rave reviews about airport restaurants, however, I was really impressed with Salsarita's! The staff was nice and didn't rush you through the ordering process. The food was fresh and you could pick your own toppings. They even had fresh chopped jalapeños instead of pickled jalapeños, bonus points in my book! The chips were seasoned with more than just salt, which was a nice touch! You could also choose fountain drinks or bottled drinks. They even had cheerwine! Alas, the difficulty of getting good airport food. This place was alright and filled me up but that's about it. I got the taco combo with two beef tacos and chips with guac. The tacos were okay - the beef was too salty and the overall taste was reminiscent of Taco Bell. The chips were surprisingly good - flavored with some kind of spice rub which was decent. Salsarita's is absolutely delicious! Every time I have visited the staff at the counter have been fast and are extremely pleasant. My go to order is a chicken burrito with a host of other toppings. I have also had the tacos. The meat is tender and tasteful, the queso is delicious and the toppings are always FRESH! Again, they are AMAZING and at around $9, this place is quite a bargain compared to other pricey airport restaurants. The order always leaves me stuffed and everyone in the airport always looks at me when I am eating and wonders what smells so good and where it is from. When one of the four decided we could still order she couldn't make our tacos because she was the 2nd step not the first step. I finally suggested using melted cheese.
