Got in late from work and the crew was hungry. It was Saturday night and all the bars and pubs were crowded and loud, A quick jaunt from the hotel down the street and we found Sal's. Friendly folks and delicious food. The price is right. Small lobby with only about five tables, made it quaint and not too noisy. A great find when you don't want anything too crazy.

This is crazy!!! Sooo cheap on the ingredients!!!!!!!

I have walked 500 miles and I would walk 500 more for SAL'S Pizza. Great service, great prices and awesome portions. Usually I buy 5 or 6 Za's and have them for breakfast lunch and dinner in the middle of the week to help me get over that wedensday hump. Every bite of their mac's cheese pizza literally sends shivers down my spine.

It's been a second since I've had Sal's but holy cow--when this place came to the little college town of Appleton, WI, it took the Fox Cities by storm. I even had it on my recent trip back to Outagamie county for my boy and LU's leading receiver in school history, Zach M's wedding. The pizza still tasted dope, the white pizza was especially legit, and they still had a pluthera of choice for slices. Authentic as hell as Sal himself opened this place up back when I worked at was the real deal. An ex mafioso who gave a crap about his Za! I even worked for Sal's as a delivery guy in my fifth year (I slacked a bit). I used to take the pizza home at night. Shot up about 25 pounds in a trimester but it was worth it. I just had to give pizza away instead of buy drinks for chicks to work game. You'd be surprised what a bowl and some pizza can get you.

Food was good. Three workers were not wearing masks at all and one was wearing it under their nose. Irresponsible.

Mediocre, overpriced pizza, and rude staff. The pizza was ok but definitely not worth the price, and one of the workers was extremely rude.

They have a ton of board games to play while you drink or wait for your food. Great place to meet up to wind down. I've been here twice, once for drinks and once for food. Great experiences both times. Service: Friendly and informative. They have a slim team but are incredibly efficient. Food: They pizza is incredible, the crust is untouchable. I ordered the Dirty Martini pizza (they don't have it anymore *cries in salty olive tears*). This pizza is one of a kind. If anyone else had this available in the Fox Valley I would go there every week to get my fix. It's salty, savory, creamy, crunchy and CRAVE-ABLE. We ordered one other pizza on the menu that is a standard offering, The 99 Corvette. This was okay but we both fought over who got more pieces of the Dirty Martini Pizza. I can't wait to come back here for more fun.

They do not have physical menus or servers to take people's orders; customers scan a QR code to get the online menu and order at the bar area. I can't speak to the craft beer and wine aspect to the restaurant, but they do offer some delicious craft sodas for people looking for nonalcoholic options. Although they have "normal" woodfire pizza choices (traditional pepperoni, cheese, etc.), the highlight is their rotating menu of inventive specialty savory and dessert pizzas. I found their "normal" pizza to be just ok, but the tomato soup pizza (Souper Slice) was incredibly flavorful and unique! It's definitely worth taking the leap of faith for some of their more out-there sounding pizza options. Since they have limited oven space to cook the pizzas, food can take a while to come out if it's busy. Plan ahead and use that time to relax and enjoy their drinks, or come during an off-peak time for less wait.

The service was all-around incredible. The employees were warm, friendly, and professional, and they seemed to know exactly how often to check in without interrupting our meal. They spaced out our drinks, appetizers, and entrees just the right amount. Our server Andrew was particularly great. We had a soda flight of their craft sodas for a super super reasonable price, and every single soda was spectacular. We're spoiled in the craft soda department by virtue of living in Wisconsin (Sprecher, Potosi, etc), but this was definitely the best craft soda we've had. Even the wacky flavors like blue raspberry were rich and flavorful--they didn't taste overwhelmingly artificial. I cannot recommend their soda enough, although I imagine their craft beer is pretty good too! We also had a delicious mocktail, which always goes a long ways in impressing us. All of our food was reasonably priced and so, so, fresh and delicious. The Bavarian pretzel with the beer cheese was heavenly!! We loved our entrees as well. Even something simple like the fries were perfectly done--fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside I don't think we could have asked for a better experience. Everything we had their was top notch, and despite the number of things we ordered, our bill was not very high at all (about $50 for a mocktail, a craft soda flight and a soda pint, an appetizer and two entrees.

It was definitely not made in house. The salad was supposed to come with spinach but it didn't, but the server gave me spinach to add in. But it was really basic, for 16 dollars. I wouldn't say any food here was amazing. Come for the beer and atmosphere but eat elsewhere.
