The new owner has run this place into the ground. Gone are the days when Jon and Anne owned it. He treats his employees like garbage and works them to death. The quality of the food has gone down so far that it no longer tastes like it used to. They seem to be using premade crusts and are using cheaper ingredients. It has lost most of the flavors.When the owner works, he's clueless and just gets in the way of the employees who are trying to do their jobs. They shouldn't have to be training HIM in his own restaurant. If it closed down one day, it would be no surprise. read more

I have been on the search for "great pizza" in Oshkosh. That traditional very thin crust that gets crispy when baked. Homemade of course, not the cookie cutter crust. Zaronis has it! Unfortunately the toppings were missing (tomatoes) or lackluster(double sausage). Not enough cheese or too much sauce. It didn't give the vibe of $26.00 pizza. My search will have to continue. I also got the Zuggets. Tiny, very few pieces for $7.00 and then the marinara was forgotten. Delivery was on time and the pizza was cooked "well" like I asked. First time stopping in. Decent beer selection. Peroni on draught, as well as local faves Fifth Ward. Server Katrina was great! Had the Nugs and 2 different specialty Mac's. Awesome place. No wonder it got top votes for BEST Pizza. This place was full of people when we stopped..... local High School sports team were in for some event. Nice that ZaRoni's supports them regularly. We were greeted by a very nice, friendly Bartender. We asked about the menu...we ordered the Chicago pizza. OMG..... it was much larger than we thought. Delicious and full of flavor. The crust had a nice crunch too. It was fabulous. We do wish the Bartender had told us...."it's good but too large for 2 people". Sooooooo, it turned out, we brought 2/3's of it home and put it in the freezer. We had it for another two meals. Over the top delicious!! YES.....YES.... a definite good stop !! read more

Ordered two pizzas for take out and was told it would be 25 minutes. We showed up to get the pizza after 25 minutes and were told they were running behind. After another 10 minutes one pizza came out. Five minutes later we are told the second one was destroyed and would need to be remade. Before i could ask how long that would take, the bartender walked away. She avoided looking or speaking to me and my husband for the next 30 minutes. I wanted to request a refund initially because we did not have the time to wait for it to be remade but we were never given the option. We were never asked if we wanted a drink or anything. After waiting the 30 minutes, I had to shout to get her attention from across the bar and ask for a refund so that we could just take our one cold pizza and leave. read more

Decided to visit Zaronis after hearing several good reviews about the unique menu. Easy to find on Jackson street due to the bright, unique sign. Walked in to fun - arcade games, super hero decorations, and a helpful staff. Our waitress came to our table quickly and took our drink order. She was knowledgable on their craft beer selection and helpful with navigating the menu. My family all ordered from the Specialty Mac menu - Mac Daddy (filled with bacon, ham, and sausage), Chili Mac (Chili and Sour Cream) and the Bacon MacBurger (bacon, beef, and cheddar). The macs were all steaming hot dishes of cheesy goodness. Served with a side of bread that was warm and gooey. YUM! And, the servings were large...leaving us each with leftovers. My son ordered a kids' meal from the Little Hero menu. The selection - mac and cheese, mac and cheese bites (deep fried), hot dog, corn dog, and chicken strips. The meals all included a side - grapes, carrots, wedge fries, or cottage cheese as well as a kids drink. He gobbled up his chicken strips the minute they arrived. We were also surprised to get a free appetizer - parmesan nuggets - with our order. Those came out piping hot as well. And were a tasty start to a tasty meal. We will definitely be back to Zaronis to try other options of mac goodness as well as try the pizza! read more

ZaRonis has some of the best pizza in Oshkosh. The service is extremely friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is clean. I love the personal touches of superhero merch everywhere. The cheeseburger slider pizza is amazing! We like the Madame ZaRoni Mac and cheese too. Whether you dine in or get pick up, the food is fresh and hot. And besides having excellent food, the owner has done so many great things for the community. He donated pizza to the West High School staff after the safety incident in December, and even now during the pandemic he's been helping out people in need. I feel good supporting people who have done so much for our community. *If you're in Oshkosh and you want great pizza and great service, you have to go to ZaRonis. read more

First time here, came in with my wife for a Sunday lunch. The atmosphere is casual and fun, the open kitchen looked super clean and was manned by cooks that we could overhear talking about what they cook outside of work (so you know they like what they do). I got the buffalo style mac and my wife got the Thai style. Both were excellent, with great flavor and fresh ingredients (you could definitely tell they used fresh veggies in my wife's Thai mac). I was skeptical of how a business could focus a large portion of its menu around macaroni and cheese dishes but clearly I shouldn't have been. I really enjoyed what I had and took enough home for a second meal. Overall a great experience and I plan on returning. This place would be awesome on a cold winter day as the mac dishes were hot and rich, perfect for warming someone up. If I had to offer one criticism, we noticed the cooks had a separate radio going in the kitchen that was playing different music than what was playing in the dining area. It was about as loud as the dining area music and created some cacophony that detracted from the atmosphere. It's not a large issue, and one that is easily remedied, but if the owners read this, that's the only thing I'd ask to be changed. Otherwise the food is delicious, generous, and well priced and the atmosphere is casual and fun. We very much enjoyed ourselves. Recommended. read more

Zaronis is my new hero for pizza and mac n' cheese! My buddy and I needed a place to eat and we drove past when coming into Oshkosh. After looking at reviews on Yelp, I knew this would be a good decision. If you love super heroes, then you will really enjoy the super decor. There are toy figurines scattered all over restaurant. The walls are filled with super hero posters, and the booths had replica comic book covers. Our server must have the same super powers as the Flash as she was very quick with taking our orders, refilling drinks, and making sure everything was okay. I ordered the Wisco Mac which included sliced brats, onions, sauerkraut, mustard with bread crumb topping...and it was AMAZING! The portion didn't look very big, but it felt like I was eating a bottomless bit of cheesy goodness. I was only able to eat half of it. My only complaint was the mustard was a little overwhelming, and could definitely cut back on that. My buddy got a calzone, and it was huge. He said it was really good. My husband and I were craving pizza on Thursday and when that happens we usually will order Zaronis. We always get the thin crust pizza with bacon and mushrooms. My husband ordered our pizza online for delivery which is super convenient when you don't feel like calling something in. We're able to customize it the way we want and make sure the order is correct before placing it. After placing the order Zaronis also sends you updates to let you know where your pizza is in the process. This is great so you know about approximately how much longer till your pizza arrives. My husband was able to go outside of our apartment and only wait a couple of minutes before the pizza was delivered. When he brought it into the apartment the smell made me even hungrier. We devoured the large pizza between the two of us and it was worth every bite. read more

ZaRonis is wonderful! We enjoy the zuggets you get for free while dining in. They go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your meal. I had a problem with uncooked garlic in a calzone and they apologized profusely and made me a new one AND took it off our bill, which they didn't have to do. I am especially happy with their vegan menu!!! It's nice to have an option while dining out!! They make great Moscow mules and let you sample new beers to see what you like. Having lived in Madison for a long time, I LOVE Glass Nickel pizza, and unfortunately we don't have one where I live in Sheboygan. When my brother in law wanted to go out for pizza after his graduation from UW-Oshkosh, I had no problem recommending we go to Glass Nickel. We were not disappointed. We got complimentary Nickel Nuggets, which were very tasty. We had the toasted ravioli and fried mushrooms as appetizers, and both were excellent. I've had toasted ravioli once before, and it was way too crunchy, but this was nice and soft and super yummy. We then ordered the Ranch, a deluxe, and a cardiac arrest. The first two were amazing, as always. I didn't care for the cardiac arrest, but my bro-in-law really liked it. The service was very good and the interior was nice. The food was wonderfully comforting in every way! The mac was some of the best I've ever had - just the perfect amount of ooze to the cheese sauce - plus you get to choose which topping you want (cracker or breadcrumb). YUM!
