We always love the pizza and appetizers. The sandwiches are great too. My favorite is the bacon cheeseburger pizza with a side of seasoned sour cream. Their taco pizza is also incredible. They use lots of ingredients on their pizzas and the sauce is almost spicy, but just right. We usually only get delivery right from them and they have limited hours so we don't dine in. I can't speak to the ambiance, but it's a quiet local joint and has been a favorite of ours for years. read more

I tried to order online for delivery but the website said they don't deliver to my area. I called Dr. Benzine's and a nice man answered and he asked my address. He said "no problem! What would you like to order!?" Excellent attitude! I really like the thin crust pizza. Ample sauce and generous on the toppings with a very fair price! THE BIG JUICY WINGS THO'! Wow! Not those little tiny wing around town. These wings are the real deal. Not battered. Just fried with nice crispy skin. The price was amazing too! The combo basket was my choice of 4 and was very good. I can say the delivery person was well groomed and had a great smile. The ambiance I can say was amazing in my living room with these goodies and a movie. I am so glad I called and he answered. I found my new pizza place and my new wing place! read more

Update: I liked dr Benzie's so much the first time, that I ordered the same pizza and app delivery. I'm sad to say I was disappointed. The food was a little pricey and greasy. The French fries didn't come with salt (as an FYI) and the BBQ wings that we ordered weren't great. The lady that delivered was very nice. I bought from the "popular items" menu and got the bacon burger and two orders of breaded mushrooms. The delivery driver seemed extremely confused about the whole ordeal, greeting my "hello" at the door with a silent stare followed by "did you order food?" and then awkwardly handed me a doggybag before saying goodnight. Strange. In general, the businesses that have signed up to offer their services on Eatstreet/Grubhub appear to be very perplexed by the whole process. It seems widespread enough among all the businesses that it's tough to blame them. But this also means that ordering delivery has a chance of going very poorly. Burger was a little tough to chew but it was because of the sheer amount of bacon on it. (There's no way that's a bad thing.) No other condiments came by default besides a slice of cheese, but that may be for the better. I added mayo anyways, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Bacon was fresh and not cooked to a crisp which was awesome. The two orders of breaded mushrooms came lukewarm and a bit soggy. None of the food was hot, but the sour cream managed to be so hot it was liquified and rendered it unusable. Disappointed I paid extra for it. My second sauce for the second order of breaded mushrooms (shrimp sauce) did not come at all. They seemed very confused. I am disappointed that this restaurant fell short the way that it did, because the burger that I got was reasonable, and I hold burgers to my highest standard. I went here yesterday afternoon for the first time with my son. We ordered cheese curds as an appetizer and a pizza with ground beef, pepperoni, and bacon. The curds were very tasty and the pizza arrived within fifteen minutes of ordering. We were very pleased. The decor could use a little work, but the food was excellent! read more

Bomber pizza was awesome. They work their butts off to serve you. I would recommend this to any pizza lover.

Food is great and very edible. Let me just state, I'm a pretty consistent customer of theirs through Eatstreet.....or was rather. Due to my building being fairly old (old everything, buzzer, elevator, etc..) I wasn't able to hear my buzzer and the deliver driver got very snippy on the phone when she had to call me. I'm literally paying you to drive 2-3 blocks down and deliver the food and you're getting upset with me for having to call me on the rare occasion (I think within the past 15-20 times ordering they've had to call 2-3, very rarely do a miss a buzz or the building fails to notify me). So due to this bad experience, I'm not very inclined to continue purchasing my dinners from them anymore. Sorry Dr. Benzie's, but being in the customer service industry myself, I value good customer service over good food any day. read more

My fiancé and I have ordered pizza from here many times. The food is always decent but we had an experience where we called in an order which was going to be ready in 30 minutes. 30 minutes later we went in and we were told it would be another hour. We canceled our order due to the time. Tonight we went to order and upon ordering the boy answering the phone attempted to put us on mute and continued to speak to another employee calling us the little f*. He quickly realized he was not on mute and told us we were no longer able to order pizza. Needless to say we are extremely dissatisfied with the level of customer service and professionalism. The pizza is good, but definitely not good enough to put up with comments such as that. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

When I called, I mentioned it was my first time ordering, so the person taking my order offered to describe some of the specialty pizzas. We ordered two pizzas: a regular crust with mushrooms and olives and a deep dish of the Lotsa Meat. It only took them 20 minutes for the pizza to be ready! Both were absolutely great, the former being a great pair of toppings with crust and the latter being the meat-filled and filling pizza some of us wanted. I absolutely love Doctor Benzies. They have the best food. They have an excellent menu and Doctor Benzies makes food that you keep coming back for. I have a couple of my particular favorites and the prices as far as burgers and fries and such goes, well when you're getting it delivered and it's fresh like that, it's amazing. Wow, what happened to this place? Went a while and can't believe how rundown it's gotten. The pizza is always great but the dining area is awful. Time for a total renovation, the building was worn out 20 years ago and now appears beyond repair. As I said the pizza is great, generous toppings and mounds of cheese. We did order mozzarella logs and the portion cup was not marinara but appeared to be old dried up something red. Other than that the meal was good. Next time I'd consider take out as the dining room is really unappetizing. read more

This is our favorite pizza place when visiting Oshkosh. We tried a number of places before trying Doctor Benzie's though. Honestly, because the name. I suppose subconsciously seeing "Doctor" when looking for a place to get food forces the caution center in the brain make you look elsewhere. Nevertheless, order we did and we liked it! read more

Went for a fish fry. The fish came out ice cold in the center. The waitress took it back brought back the same plate over cooked and brown grease dripping off the fish. Worse meal I've had in a long. If you're looking for a Friday fish fry keep going down the street. read more

I will not spend my money here again. My order never came. They were not honest and did nothing to fix situation.

My wife and I were in town visiting my family, and on a whim we decided to revisit Dr. Benzie's Pizza. I knew to begin with that the food was good. However, I was refreshing to experience the awesome pizza again! The service was fast and friendly and the pizza is fabulous. This pizza parlor is small but was relatively quite when we were there!
