I ordered custom pie with goat cheese, fresh mushrooms, garlic and spinach, my husband had the Roasted Goat, also amazing cannot get flavor like that from a delivery box! The atmosphere is warm and inviting and so is the staff. Our waitress was the kind of lovely person who engaged because she is engaging, not just working for tips. A fantastic spot in downtown Neenah for a great wood fire pizza. The Haley's Comet (added mushrooms) has great flavor combinations. The chicken, bacon, artichokes and onions all play well together. Adding the mushrooms brought a nice umami/earthy flavor to already solid flavor profile. My only small criticism, the pizza could've used another 20-30 seconds. It would've given more crisp to the middle of the pie, and a touch more char would've been . I would recommend swinging in and giving Broken Tree Pizza a try, I will when back in the area. read more

I rarely give 5 stars. This place rates it. An unassuming little place in downtown Neenah Wisconsin delivers some of the best pizza I've ever had. Wood fired, with a delicious thin crust. Comes in one size only, 12". I had a "That's Life": house red sauce base, house blend cheese, calabrese salami, Italian seasoning, finished with arugula, balsamic glaze and shredded parmesan. My wife ordered a "Hailey's Comet": creamy garlic sauce base, house blend cheese, chicken, bacon, spinach, artichoke. Both were delicious *chef's kiss*! We picked up a pizza. When we got home there was very little chicken - maybe 10 or 12 tiny pieces and the pepperoni was barely cooked. The whole thing looked like it was never in an oven. We love this pizza !!! Stopped in to broken tree Pizza to grab a quick bite and we loved it. Is it a restaurant? Is it a bar? Is it a gathering place for friends? The answer is yes. This place was a nice blend of all three. We just got a sausage pizza and the place was hopping and food was great. We came here for lunch which is too bad because it looks like they have a lot of cool beers and had Beer art and paraphernalia all over the walls which gives the place or really cool vibe. Plus, who doesn't love a wood fired oven that looks this cool? BTP !!!!! By the way, we got pepperoni sticks as an appetizer and they were not only good but the portion size was fairly big as well. Interestingly, they only serve one pizza size which was fine but when you come here I would say everyone should get their own pizza. So an interesting sidenote - we have not lived in Neenah Wisconsin for many years but we remember this location. We used to think this location was haunted because restaurants came and went so quickly. Nobody could stay in business in this location. However broken tree pizza has totally re-thought how the space was organized and now it is cooler than ever. Good job! We would definitely come back here. Both times we carried out - they were super quick and wayyyyyy better than any chain pizza place. I loved their interesting and unique pizza combinations. We got Queen Bee, Margherita La Fungo, and The Athena. Great dough to sauce ratio, thin sliced salami, and blobs (not shredded) of fresh mozzarella. A little underwhelming. Came for the pizza buffet and expected the possibility of salad options and breadsticks with pizza but it was literally only 4-5 types of wood fired pizza and that's it. Buffet is 11-3 Tues-Fridays I think. No table service so seat yourself and clean up after yourself. Buffet is $10 and it's an additional $2 for soda. It is mostly okay. Best thing about it is that the pizza is fresh and it's next to an excellent coffee shop. I do not recommend this place if you're wanting a real buffet experience. Customer service was just meh, definitely could be better. No hellos or goodbyes. Pizza came out slow so many people were waiting. We ended up at broken tree after a restaurant down the street had a long wait and I'm glad we did! Pizza was great. We did the Fire Sticks for appetizers - had a little kick but not too spicy. We took our 3 kids (all under 8). I wouldn't say it's super kid-friendly (no kids menus) but between the baseball game on TV and being able to see the pizzas being made in the brick oven, they were pretty entertained. We ordered a pepperoni pizza for the kids, which was good. My husband and I got the Duke Silver and it was delicious. The honey drizzle was unexpected but really put it over the top. I was recommended this pizza joint by a friend of mine from Boston, Massachusetts, whom was traveling with me on a recent September trip to Appleton, Wisconsin. It was a couple of nights before the 2015 Fox Cities marathon and pizza was on the menu. My friend and I were famished for pizza and ended up here in downtown Appleton. It was kind of cool to eat here, especially after a long whirlwind drive up to Green Bay from Schaumburg, IL and back to Appleton. It just had to be done, I guess. My friend and I arrived here at about 7:30pm on a balmy Friday night. Small town living seemed to suit me and it was good to be here at the Broken Pizza restaurant. The restaurant itself was kind of small, but had heart and a rustic vibe that just was just cute in its own right. It was clean and comfortable. It had a few tables open, so we sat near the entrance and had a nice time. Even the waitress who took our order said that she had a sister in Kailua, when we told her that I was from HI. Small world, huh? The Broken Pizza pizzeria is located at 124 Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Neenah. It's on the ground floor of this kiosk mini mall / office thingy that we kind of didn't find initially, but after closely searching, we got a handle on it. The parking can be found nearby - basically on street parking or a parking garage, but we decided on street parking for no muss or fuss. The Broken Pizza pizzeria accepts major credit cards, as well as cash, so that's always a good thing. Initially, we thought we had to pay up front first before we got our pizza. However, since we were dining in, we paid after the meal, which was just dandy too. The prices here were decently cheap and we had a whirlwind opportunity to do whatever we wanted, since we were on vacation and loading up for the upcoming 26.2 mile foot race. Sky's the limit, pretty much. You can expect about $12-$15 for a medium to large specialty pizza. I believe you can build your own pizza, as well. I think I got a large pizza with bacon and portobello mushrooms. First time I decidedly chose bacon on a pizza and it worked out pretty well. The pizza came out about 15 minutes after the order came out. Needless to say, I devoured the entire thing in one sprint. Not exactly what I wanted to do, but it fit the bill. The restaurant itself was clean and organized. Rustic and just an interesting place to be on a Friday night here in Appleton, WI. The service was quick, friendly, and positive. It's a good place to get your pizza freak on, if you decidedly like pizza. The build your own pizza deal is pretty sweet as well. You can make it up as you go along. Awesome little pizza place! My husband and I came here for an early dinner tonight, and we were seated, greeted right away by I think the owner? It was a younger guy with dark hair. But very friendly. Our food came out fast -- I ordered the margherita, got the broken basil sticks (which were phenomenal) and hubby got the Italian sub. Everything tasted wonderful and even took some home with us. A half order of the sticks were very filling. You could tell everything was fresh. Visited BTP on a Friday night. First off, didn't know these businesses existed in this little strip of shops in Neenah. You need to watch for the sign for the restaurant as it shares it's entry doors with a handful of other businesses. The place was packed but we only had to wait a few minutes. One reason for the 4 stars is they only had 1 person handling the tables. She did a great job considering the situation and all the tables being full. However, i think there was opportunity for the manger who seemed to just be roaming around in the back (kitchen is out front so not sure what he could have been doing) to help out in front. Seemed to be alot of opportunities to refill peoples drinks ($$$). The food in general was very good. The other reason for the 4 stars is that they don't cook any of the vegetables on their cheese breads or their pizzas. So you get a nice soft crust and gooey cheese, but then the vegetables are raw and crunchy. So it would be nice to at least have that communicated or be given the option to have yours cooked with the pizza. Prices are reasonable, i think our meal with apps, drinks and pizzas was around $75 for the 3 of us. read more
