Hi Victoria I just saw your reply. First and foremost, I've never met nor spoken to you personally! If I had I would've followed up with you. You were at the salon when I showed my rash to James and he went to the back to speak to you and relayed the info you're referencing, but you never came out to speak to me. As for seeing a dermatologist, I did see one and she told me exactly what the pharmacist said-- you cannot diagnose what is causing a contact dermatitis. It's a reaction to an irritant and there's no way other than process of elimination of a doctor identifying what caused the reaction. It's a shame bc James is very talented and if you would've actually spoken to me and addressed my concerns personally, in the manner you claim, we might've been able to identify what was causing the issue. read more

I have been going to Victoria for at least 5 years now. You would not believe when I say my hair is pitch BLACK when it grows out... I mean it's dark. She is a miracle hair stylist!!! I came to her years ago with orange hair and the harshest lines you could think of. We chopped my hair off on my first session and started all over. I had ombré style for years and recently went back to highlights style. She has made every hair goal of mine come true. I will say that even though she is a miracle stylist - if you have dark hair like me , don't expect to be blonde like this picture in one sitting. It takes sessions to be the blonde you desire and it's worth the process. I promise!! If you are lucky enough to sit in Victoria's chair, you will never regret it. I was recommended to this salon because they were known for balayage. Please settle in for a long story. I promise it's the shortest version I could make, but you need to know these things prior to booking with them. 3 months ago, I called the salon to speak with someone before booking. I have extremely thick hair and I like to be upfront with the stylists, just in case they aren't experienced. I talked to the owner and she recommended herself and her stylist Tatiana. I had told her I looked at both of their Instagrams and was impressed with the cuts and color. The first problem was trying to even get an appointment that works around someone who has a regular 8-4 job schedule. They do not offer weekend appointments or anything after 2pm. So if you're wanting to get a haircut, you'll have to take time off of work. In which most people have to use vacation time. Secondly, I messaged Tatiana and discussed what i wanted and sent examples. (I wanted Carmel/ blonde like all of her other dark haired clients) She informed me of her price range. Which was very steep, but based upon her clients pictures, I was willing to pay for the quality work. She quoted me between $400-$600. Now i know most of you would think that crazy but her clients hair are gorgeous. Anyway, I get to the salon and we discuss price again. She said if she has to take the full 6 hours then it will be $600. I again agree because I am thinking to myself, there is no way it could take that many hours to color and cut my hair that has already had balayage. Please keep that in mind. This is not my first time. I've been getting balayage for a few years now. Well you guessed it, it took the full 6 hours! (Side note: She did a quick dry cut that took 5 mins. The rest of the time was sitting in foils) Color was revealed and it was dark! Nothing like the examples provided. After 6 hours of sitting in color, i imagined my hair would of been brighter with color. I didn't say I didn't like it because I wasn't sure if it was just the lighting or what. After getting outside and going home i was not satisfied with the color. Especially for the amount of money i paid. After much consulting with friends (who are business owners themselves) I decided I would call the owner of the salon to explain my issues, In hopes she would make it right. The owner explained she can't do anything because Tatiana runs her own booth, and to just message her myself. So I did. I explained my issues again and all i received was blame on my hair. So apparently my hair must be the most unique type of hair that doesn't take color well and will turn orange. Again, keep in mind I've had balayage many times and was not orange. after back and forth, she said she will give me a complementary gloss in 3 months... 3 months later..... I message her asking for availability so i can get a cut and complimentary gloss. She then goes into saying the gloss will make my hair darker and that was my problem in the first place. My thoughts are 1. Then why would you offer a gloss to "fix" my hair in the first place when i said it was too dark? 2. Wouldn't you offer to bring me in to lighten the color?!? Moral of the story. Go here if you want to pay a shit ton of money for average work. Also, don't even think about bringing complaints to the salon or hair stylist themselves because the blame will be put on how your hair and how it doesn't cooperate. Good luck, farewell! I had an amazing hair appointment with Vero! She was able to fit me into her busy schedule for my birthday haircut + all over dye. It took her no effort to understand exactly what I wanted and made it exactly as I envisioned! She is very informative and helped me know all the right products to use to maintain the color and healthy hair...she was also great to chat with as well. This place is fabulous! The vibe in the salon is friendly and peaceful, all the stylist are friendly and welcoming. Angie my stylist is AMAZING , she listened to my every word, offered her sincere and professional advise and together we came up with a plan and she absolutely delivered! I was looking forward to getting a blowout and trying out this salon. We just moved to the area and I have been looking for a hair salon. I found Salon VC on Yelp and noticed they are open on Sundays. I booked an appointment for 9 am on Sunday, October 29th through their online booking system. I showed up on time and waited 5 minutes before being greeted by one of the stylists asking who I was waiting for. I told her and she responded she was probably on her way. It's now 9:20 and I was annoyed. Another stylist approached me and said there had been a scheduling mistake and the owner would reach out to reschedule. I was frustrated but you know what scheduling mistakes happen so I said okay, sounds good, and left. Fast forward to November 20th, today, and I have yet to hear from the owner. I wanted to give the Salon the benefit of the doubt. It's a shame because this blowout was a trial for me to find a forever Salon in my neighborhood. Oh well. read more
