I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE JANET RAMIREZ FROM SALON2ONE8!!! I thought no one could do my hair as good as my sister-in-law. After she moved, I went to a handful of stylists in the Glendora area. I just couldn't find someone who could get my BLONDE right! Others made my hair look brassy or orange-ish. JANET GETS IT RIGHT EVERY SINGLE TIME! She gives me highlights and low-lights, and also does something called "breaking the base at the bowl," which my sister-in-law used to do, but no one else I went to got it right, except Janet!!! She is super-consistent, and gives me exactly the cut I want every time. I am super-picky about my bangs (Lordy, I think I would hate to have myself as a client!), but Janet is very careful and precise not to take too much off. She also gives THE BEST SCALP MASSAGE in the world!!! In addition to her skillful highlights and cuts, she is so laid-back and easy-going, never pushy or suggesting something I don't want. She is always ON-TIME (even if I am not!), and always pleasant and in a good mood. And this girly is a smarty-pants too! In addition to her bachelor's degree, she pursued further education so she can teach hair-cutting/coloring/cosmetology! I enjoy her conversation, and overall, she is just a lovely, lovely human being! Plus, her prices are very, very reasonable compared to other salons I went to. LOVE HER! YOU MUST GO TRY HER! Also, I must mention that the overall atmosphere in the salon is wonderful. The owner is super-nice, and all the staff and other stylists are so friendly. No one is a snob. It is super-clean, and for all you coffee/tea lovers, there's a great little Keurig coffee station where you can custom-make your own drink from a wide selection of coffee flavors and creams. Gina has been cutting and coloring my hair for about 15 years, starting with her salon at Split Ends and now at Salon 2one8. I have never left her without feeling completely happy with my hair. Gina as several great qualities as a hairstylist: First, she is always completely honest about the state of my hair. If I want something that will not work with my hair, she'll tell me. Second, she is masterful with color. My natural color has changed a lot in 15 years (brown to gray to white (!) in some places), and she always figures out a way to make my color work. Third, she is regular as clockwork. I work full-time plus overtime, so it's hard for me to have to reschedule any kind of appointment. In 15 years I don't think Gina has ever canceled an appointment or changed an appointment time on me. Fourth, she'll talk me out of doing stupid things to my hair. At one point I was desperate to do something different to my hair, anything! I begged her to just change it. I didn't have a picture, I didn't have an idea, I just wanted a change and gave the power to her. You'd think this would be a hair-stylist's dream, but she wisely refused and said she would not make a big change until I brought a picture or a very specific idea. Finally, Gina keeps up on all of the trends, both as far as styles, but also new products or services. I am officially addicted to Brazilian Blowouts now, thanks to Gina. And it wasn't just a way for her to make more money off of me. The first couple of BBs I had were done by a different stylist. Gina is personable and easy to talk to. She has a good sense of humor and I've seen her comfortably interact with male and female clients of all ages. Oh, and the salon is beautiful and fun and hip! Woohoo! As good as it gets! The description of this five star rating is an understatement. I am from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and have been to great salons in the Metro Milwaukeee area and Chicago. I am still looking for the one amazing stylist that I can trust and go back to time and time again. I recently visited Glendora, California to visit my great Aunt Toots and to attend a conference for work. I wanted to get my haircut before an adventurous night out in WeHo. I had high hopes for a great haircut since I was in California - home to Hollyoood, stars, and fashion! I selected Salon 2one8 because of its great reviews on Yelp. My experience at Salon 2one8 lived up to my expectations and more. The atmosphere is fun and sexy and the customer service from the time I made my appoinment to being greeted and welcomed in the salon was exceptional. I had my haircut by Marcos. Marcos has great energy, he is talented, and most impotantly, he is very detail oriented. He took time to understand what i wanted and made sure my hair had a lot of texture and movement. I was extremely happy with my haircut and got compliments on my hair during my night out on Santa Monica Blvd. Rihanna sums up my experience of Salon 2one8 best when she sings "Where Have You Been All My Life." I needed to find a new salon so I yelped and found Salon 2one8. The first review I saw was great and that Kim the owner specializes in blondes. As soon as I saw that I was like I'm calling and making an apt with her. Kim is friendly and her salon is gorgeous. I have gotten my hair done twice with her and I loved it. The third time I got my hair done she wasn't available and the front desk recommended me to Kristina a young lady that did my hair. After Kristina was all done with my hair I did not like the top of my head because she turned it orange. She told me to make a apt to come back so she can fix it. I came back and she lifted the orange to a pretty white blonde that I liked but I noticed she still forgot a few pieces that still looked orange. She told me the next time I came in shell fix it and I was like okay. She told me to meet her in the front and she charged me $35. I was like what are you charging me for? She's like that product I had to use on you. I paid her and made no fuss but in my head I was like I had to come back and get my hair fixed because your fuck up and your making me pay. I have been a client with Colleen since 1987. She is the best! I have NEVER gotten a bad haircut because she pays attention to detail and she always keeps a record on how much she cuts. I have taken my girlfriend, cousins and nieces to get their hair done. They have nothing but high praises for her and will never go to another haircutter. She has won their trust. Colleen can you make your hair look thicker due to her training from Long Hair Rocks Salon in Pasadena. I highly recommend her. Colleen now works for Salon2one8 in downtown Glendora. The place is impressive. It is very upscale without feeling intimidated. Most of all, it is very affordable. The staff is courteous and friendly. They serve you gourmet coffee or tea as well as water per your request. The shampoo and conditioner they use is first class. It leaves it shiny, healthy and soft. Salon 2one8 is very classy and upscale. I was first greeted with excellent service and a friendly smile by the receptionist. They made me feel comfortable by asking me if I wanted anything to drink (they have a full menu of stuff; not just water :) I went in for a very short hair cut. I have always had long hair and I wanted to try something different, so my stylist Janet attended me and gave me a FABULOUS look!!! I have been getting my hair done by Kim for 10 years now. She has always done an amazing job with my hair and I have never had one problem. When she opened Salon 2one8, I of course followed. The salon is very beautiful and sophisticated. You can tell that every detail in the salon was carefully selected. As soon as you walk into the salon you are greeted at the front desk by a girl who immediately offers to get you a drink. I love being able to pick my own coffee flavor. There are other drinks available as well but I am a coffee fan. The entire staff is very friendly and I have not had one problem. The other stylists are more than willing to help you even if you are not their client. Salon 2one8 is highly recommended! I would trust anyone else to do my hair. read more

Very clean and nice people!! So experienced with what you want they nail!! The atmosphere is very calm and it's very clean!! Everyone there was so polite and nice!! She gave my oldest son his first hair cut 16 years ago! Gina has always been professional, kind and skilled with all hair types. Best salon in California! Daved is a hair genius! After being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, my hair was left dry, brittle, and horrible. I couldn't do anything with it. But, after one session with Daved my hair looks and feels healthy and is finally holding a vibrant, beautiful color! I'm getting daily complements on how great my hair looks. Not only is Daved an amazing stylist, but he's also easy to talk to and makes the entire experience fun. I recommend Daved to everyone! Shay is amazing. So amazing in fact, that I drive 45 minutes from Hollywood for my appointment. I honestly wouldn't let anyone else touch my hair. I've been to fashion stylist after fashion stylist and new trendy salons and Shay has those other stylist beat hands down. Back in September I needed to find a new salon that was pretty close to me and decided to check out Salon 2one8. I called last minute for a cut and they got me in within a couple days. The salon is beautiful and I am pleasantly pleased with the results from my hairdresser,Tina. She made my short hair look great with an A line cut and fixed my bangs (that I tried to cut myself)!
