A great experience overall. Would make a great date night. I went with a group. They made my friend a custom menu for the plates we ordered for her birthday. The sangria was good. My favorite thing of the night was the fish. I believe it was bass? Cooked to perfection. The octopus was also very delicious!!! Everything was yummy and came out promptly!

Beautiful and intimate spot with even equally delicious tapas, desserts and cocktails! Service is accommodating and warm but never intrusive or hurried! Everything was delicious and beautifully plated. The space was perfect to meet up for a first date, a friends outings or just a date night with your bae.

Ambiance: 5/5. Modern, trendy, cozy, cool Service: 5/5. No complaints Food: 3/5: patatas were excellent. They were fried to perfection and the cream sauce with caviar enhanced the flavor, also had a nice kick. The toast with tomato was solid. Had a nice crunch but was a little sour. The steak was meh - for the price would have wanted something more fresh. The cheesecake was also meh - it looks amazing but the flavor and texture wasn't as good as I was hoping.

Amazing service. Everything came out within 10 minutes of ordering it felt like. The ambiance is nautical and datey. Food was incredible - well seasoned and everything had a unique flavor. My fiance and I came here for date night and it did NOT disappoint. Everything was perfect.

Came here to celebrate my anniversary and actually found it on Resy first. It was a perfect spot for a date night or celebration. Staff were nice and attentive and the vibe was truly warm and cozy. My bf and I ordered the Pulpo (octopus) and it was cooked to perfection with a slight charred taste. I ordered the pollo (chicken) which was amazing juicy and paired well with the greens. Had a wonderful time here and would love to come back. 10/10

We had a reservation for 4 at 6 pm on a Tuesday. They had a few drinks on happy hour at the bar when we arrived. The back garden was lovely when the weather was nice and the roof was retracted. Garden was near empty when we got there but full when we left. Sangria was a bit bitter for me but everyone else liked it. Tapas came out incredibly fast! And they being them out as they're ready which is nice. Some favorites were the daily specials (croquetas, empanadas, steak skewers over chicken peas) hanger steak and the octopus. Would come back.

Patatas Bravas Marinas. Too much Aioli.

Small entryway leading into quaint, dark cubbyholes. Quite a romantic spot. From the host to the servers, service was very consistent. As for food, while the items read well on paper we unfortunately weren't impressed with the quality. The Iberico was so tough, leathery even, that it was very unpleasant to the palate. In my opinion, inedible. Croquetas of the day, once served presented well with its crisp looking exterior but had a very soft interior. It was like potatoes being put through a ricer. Potato Ricing gives you velvety smooth mashed potatoes, but to me a consistency not meant to be in a croquette...way too soft. Sadly, not aware that the croquetas were going to be full on potatoes with hardly any protein, we had another potato dish, the Patatas Bravas Mariners. These were the singular half decent item. The potatoes were crisp, but the aioli overpowered them and the 'caviar'. We've definitely had much better elsewhere. On a positive note, the atmosphere and company was the highlight of this romantic dinner date. Would we come back? Regrettably, no. But very appreciative of the thoughtfulness and efforts made to create this memorable experience. Ambiance - 5 Food - 2

let's start off with "wow" I was nervous before coming just being a semi-picky eater & all & wow Salinas did NOT disappoint ! The ambiance of this place is boujie while having a homey feeling which i love !! The service, incredible ! If you don't know what you want the employees will help you, they're patient and nice. Now to the food-- my friend ordered us the Potatoes (TO DIE FOR) OMG, if i could have these every day? I soooo would !!! Im lactose intolerant but i had to try the croquetas, they are sooo worth the stomach ache lol -- We also got the tartar, octopus and pork belly. My stomach was so happy, will definitely be back and so should you !

Bread pudding and chocolate flan desserts

Salina's is an upscale, intimate Spanish restaurant and bar. My friends and I went on a Wednesday night without a reservation and they were fully booked but able to fit us in at a table. We tried a few of their dishes including the pan tumaca, which was basically a tomato or bruschetta-like spread on sour dough. Berenjena - was an eggplant dish which was baked with bread crumbs on top. The croquetas have beef in them and were the most flavorful dish. Pulpo con cenizas is an octopus dish, which I surprisingly really liked. It was prepared very well with a smoky char, and extremely tender. I usually don't like octopus, but this was delicious. And lastly the entraña , which was the hanger steak with a side salad. It was prepared medium and was extremely tender and juicy. For dessert, we had the bread pudding and chocolate flan, which is pictured. I would recommend the chocolate flan, which is a special and tasted more like chocolate mousse, rich and delicious! Only downside was that portions for tapas and apps are small so meant for 2 people to share ideally. Overall a great meal and about $100 per person with drinks.

First and foremost, loved the ambience. It was like having romantic dinner inside of a dimly lit greenhouse. This is a tapas style place so we ordered various dishes including the salad, croquettas, steak skewers and noodle paella. As for me, the noodle paella was the most memorable! Staff was also fast and attentive. This place did not disappoint. I will gladly come back here!

Chocolate Flan

Saturday night, seated @ a corner booth opposite gas fireplace, subdued lighting, lovely ambiance and exceptional service. We ordered tapas; patatas marinas, pan tumaca, garlic shrimp, octopus. The potatoes--small, crispy cubes topped with a mayo like sauce and were addictively delicious. Bread was crunchy with a fresh tomato topping also excellent; shrimp & octopus were both OK but could have been more flavorful. Chocolate flan texture is too dense for a classic flan but fun to eat covered in pop rock size pellets if a bit pricey @ $18. We will definitely return to try other items on their menu. We made our reservation with Resy. A few days later when I checked my account, it was ni longer listed, the restaurant had cancelled it.?????

The prices listed on the menu looked a little steep to me, even for Times Square. Luckily I had a pair of free drink coupons through my IHG One Rewards status at the Intercontinental Hotel where the bar lives. The setting was quiet and classy. The bartenders were attentive in a way that felt almost old fashioned itself, quick to set out a small glass of nuts without a word. My wife and I each ordered an Old Fashioned. We were pleased. They treated the details with care. The glass held a full block of ice. The garnish was proper Luxardo cherries. The result was as satisfying as you could hope for in a hotel bar. If you are staying in the Intercontinental it is certainly worth stopping by for a drink.

There are no signs, and you walk up a set of steps and through a thick curtain to get inside. It's tucked into an old brownstone and very easy to miss. We went right around 7pm, and it was completely empty. That actually makes sense since Broadway shows start around then, so it's a great time to hit a bar or restaurant in the area. We sat at the bar. Service was a bit mixed. The bartender we had wasn't very friendly, but we did get our drinks without issue. We ordered a couple of Mexican mules and a martini. The martini was fabulous -- definitely the standout. Unfortunately, the mules were not great. I was also hoping for some specialty or holiday cocktails, but there weren't any. That said, the space itself is beautiful and has a cool, hidden-gem feel. The other staff we interacted with were very nice -- we just happened to get the grumpy bartender. Would I go back? Probably not, but only because there are so many other places in NYC I'd want to try. Still, it's a cool spot (if you can find it).

The bar is not marked by a sign either. What may have been a hidden secret in the past is not so much a secret these days. They take reservations over phone up to one week in advance. There's a number of tables and booth seating, and a few bar seats available for a walk in. The menu of food is pretty decent though lacking in many vegetarian or vegan options. I opted for a grilled cheese sans the bacon and it was good. The grilled cheese has goat cheese in it which may not be for every one. I had an aviation drink and a glass of riesling. The cocktail was pretty standard. The wine was good. Service was generally good and attentive at the bar. The host in the front was kind. It seems like they have a coat check which I did not use. There is one bathroom in the back. The bar is definitely more crowded pre and post theater. It was packed 5pm-7pm but around 7pm, it became noticeably quiet and the bar emptied out. I'd suggest coming here while a show is playing to avoid a crowd. However, even with a packed house, the bar was not loud. Of course, if you prefer a pre or post theater cocktail, I'd recommend a reservation to guarantee entry. While this bar won't be known for its drinks or food, I think much of the allure stems from the location and the reputation for attracting famous clientele. It's a pretty chill place in the midst of crazy Times Square, so I'd definitely come back. While it may attract some tourists (if they find out about it), it generally seemed to cater to the wider New York crowd (I.e Manhattanites but also Westchester folk, Long Islanders, New Jerseyans driving in, etc)

I was immediately blown away by their gorgeous "Frosty" Christmas display including various baubles hanging from the high ceilings, flashing lights and incredible candy cane staircase. We arrived around 4:00 between brunch and dinner, so it was fairly quiet until 5:00 when lots of families arrived. (I think there's a DJ later on as well). My dinner (nicely charred cheeseburger, crispy fries and "Buddy the Elf" cocktail) was yum; especially loved their signature 16 layer cake done up in red and green. Instead of taking the review as constructive criticism and maybe improve their service, he decided to be hateful. The food was "nice" but not great. Didn't receive what we ordered, and service was nonexistent. The business owner's response is very disappointing. In late November, we went to Bacall's to soak up the holiday spirit. And my goodness, they was full of holiday spirit!!! From the moment we walked in, the inside was decked out with crazy amount of decorations. You go up the staircase to upper level to the main dining area. It was called Frosty's Christmas Bar inside the Bacall's, and it sure was spectacular. Decoration in every inch of the place, from top to bottom. In addition to that, they had a few photo-op spots, which were really fun too. We ordered some drinks, Meet Me at Bacall's, Espresso Martini, and White Sangria. I liked that they had some blueberries in the Meet Me at Bacall's and the White Sangria. All the drinks were all nice and tasty, and a good portion too. For food, one of us ordered Braised Short Rib, but we somehow received Filet Mignon... Since the server never really came back to check on us, we just had that. It was a nice dish, although it was not what we ordered. Linguini Vongole was nice, the pasta was cooked well, coated in the flavorful sauce. It had a good amount of clams. Steak Frites was tasty. The steak was cooked just the way I wanted, juicy and flavorful. It was a nice sized steak, very filling too. The fries were addictive, went great with the steak. For dessert, I was very interested in their layer cake. I saw a few pictures of it, and looked really good. Bacall's 16 Layer Cream Cake looked different from the pictures I saw, which was all ivory color. The one we received was festive with red and green, perfect for holiday dessert. Unfortunately, it only looked good. Each layer of cake was a bit tough, and not as creamy as I thought it would be. Good thing we also ordered Japanese Cheesecake, because it was quite good. I was very curious what makes it "Japanese" cheesecake. When it arrived, I got it. The cake was round and stacked on top of each other, looks like popular and famous Japanese soufflé pancakes. We had a fun dinner there, with overload of holiday decorations. The atmosphere was perfect to take in the holiday spirit. However, we couldn't say the same for the service. At the beginning, it was ok, but then we felt like we were forgotten by our waiter. The place was not that busy when we visited... He never really came by to check on us, or brough our check. We had to get whoever else around to get our check. When we saw that they already included 20% tip to the check, although there were just three of us, we understood the bad service. If they thought they are going to get 20% tip regardless, then they might think they don't need to provide good service... Bringing the wrong dish, never checking on us, etc. Regardless to say, we were disappointed with the service. But, it was a fun place to go visit during the holiday season.

It's calm, quiet, and not packed. Around 10pm, this place turns absolutely nuts with post-theater crowds. For my main, I ordered the beef short rib roast with mashed potatoes. OMG. Incredibly tender and packed with flavor--easily one of the best things I ate in NYC. My buddy ordered the liver. I tried it and thought it was horrible... but he loved it and said it was one of the best he's ever had. To each their own. Our waiter was funny and entertaining, which honestly made the whole experience even better without being over the top. Burgers, grilled chicken, Pan-roasted Trout Almondine, a vegetarian entree, Curried Vegetable Stew, and a bit unusual, Sauteed Calves Liver. Good, solid food. Large portions, none of us had an appetizer or dessert. Two criticisms: first, the tables are sort of jammed together, which isn't unusual in Manhattan, but the chairs are somewhat uncomfortable; second, while you can get bread, but you have to ask for it, which at midtown prices, I find a bit cheap. Pricing is typical for the area. The entrees, other than vegetarian, are between $30 to $42, while the appetizers are about a third cheaper. You come here to be near Broadway, have a great drink and enjoy the ambiance, the food is solid but not the attraction.

I loved watching the cocktails being made and speaking of cocktails, they are excellent. The Bool included tequila, pomegranate and jalapeño; the other cocktail was a spritz of sorts and both were fabulous. The menu is Korean tapas, so we ordered a bunch of items to try. As each dish was served the server described the dish and even provided some instructions on the best way to eat it, if applicable. Tuna Tartare was quite good, the knife cuts were a bit inconsistent which was surprising given the level of everything, but the dish was still enjoyable; citrusy with crispy sunchoke chips. Oyster Mushroom Tacos were incredible. It didn't even feel like I was eating mushrooms. The tacos were so falvorful and balanced. Do not pass up the Black Sesame Bread pudding, it was sublime. Served in a sizzling cast iron pan with candied almond slices and ice cream. It was so unique and really really delicious.
