Good Special Croquettes, pimientos, wine - star of the show, asparagus with jamon Okay: patatas brevas, tortilla, Gilda I would go back and try other items (like scallops and sea food), but I was a little underwhelmed with the food. Service was great and they do have a lovely and extensive wine list. So would go for a drink and one tapas

Good Spanish Tapas restaurant close to all the Chelsea galleries. It has a great vibe and good service too. Wine and cocktails are ok as well.

I stopped in on a nice day and grabbed a seat at the bar. The front windows were open and the people watching was fantastic. It set the tone for a relaxed and memorable meal. I tried several tapas dishes and genuinely enjoyed every one of them. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they're putting out. The bartender was friendly, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations. The atmosphere here is exactly what you want from a cozy tapas bar. It's warm, welcoming, and lively without being loud. Tia Pol strikes that perfect balance, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend for a casual but elevated meal in Chelsea.

Great tapa spot! Everything tasted great but highly recommend the gambas & croquettes. Service was pretty solid - great for a quick bite with friends or a first date.

Food/Drink: very yum! I especially liked the quiche, squid ink rice, and shrimp garlic dip! Wouldn't get the deliver eggs again but it was yum! Lots of their dishes (maybe 70%?) were sold out by dinner time :/ Service: pretty good service Atmosphere: very cute and perfect for summer if you sit close to the entrance! Other: Easy to walk in on a Sunday night for 2

I don't particularly want to go back to see what we ordered off the menu, but a few things to note here: 1. It was a hot day and there was no AC and very little air flow. Muggy and uncomfortable. 2. It gets extremely loud for dinner. 3. The wine recommended by the waitress was good. 4. The food was all very mehh. The shrimp (gambas) was cooked in the same broth as the clams which made for a very sour, off tasting shrimp dish. Nothing hit baseline expectations for spanish tapas. Overall just wasn't a great experience and very unlikely to go back.

Been here twice now and there are definitely some pluses, but also some negatives. The negatives don't make it a stay away, but definitely be prepared for it to make the most of your experience. First and foremost, seating is VERY tight. Besides one booth style table they have near the bathroom, the seats are fairly tight. Service is great when they aren't overly busy. However, be prepared to flag down as needed during peak times as they may overlook your table in the chaos. Staff is friendly and helpful, just not as attentive. Food is fairly good, but quality seems to have dropped off since being here (approx year ago). The artichoke salad was fairly nice but needed more of a tang/punch in flavor. Honestly just ask for. Some lemon wedges and allow the acid to help balance out the salad. Gambas al ajillo is done well compared to most places. The shrimp isn't overcooked and the oil/broth is balanced in terms of flavor with adequate garlic and herbs. Accompanied bread leaves a lot to be desired (very dry/almost stale) Dishes pictured were good but nothing "amazing". Once again, missing some basic seasoning/punch to bring out the flavors a bit more. The croquetas will be a toss up. They are super creamy and tasty but the amount of actual meat (or veggies) inside will be enough or completely lacking. Essentially no consistency in the filling. Wine selection has enough variety to compliment the menu but lacks depth in terms of flavor. You'll likely find something if you prefer lighter options, but not much in terms of full bodied options. Cocktails seem basic. Nothing that stands out but enough to get the job done (G&T, old fashioned, etc) if you're in the mood for a cocktail. Bar seating is the tightest and fairly uncomfortable if you're by the door(not much space and you will feel the weather everytime the door opens)

The OG tapas bar in NYC! I came here ages ago and I wasn't even an active Yelper then. I finally got to revisit on our last NYC trip. Some friends and I decided to meet here for happy hour. Yes, they still do happy hour and the food and drink options are still excellent. In fact, we had such a good time that I forgot to take more photos of the food. If you come here, just order everything! The wine menu is excellent and they even have a solid offering of sherry. May they remain in business for many more years!

My friend and I passed by this place on a Thursday night and were lucky enough to be sat at the bar immediately upon check-in. My friend ordered and IPA and I resorted to a dry, white sparkling wine. Breakdown of our food (first two are specials, last one is a menu regular) -Cigalas y Almejas (langoustines in white wine) this. sauce. was. 50000 good. The bartender brought out a bucket of bread slices for me to soak it all up, think of your typical white wine butter sauce at the end of a dish, but with a lot of seafood umami-ness. -Falda de Res (skirt steak with salsa verde) Meat was very tender, but I wasn't the biggest fan of the leeks on top. Salsa Verde definitely helped bring some brightness to the dish. -Lamb Skewers with moored spices Super tender & juicy, selfishly wish there were more skewers Had a great time overall, this place is cozy and welcoming and I can't wait to come back!

This spot has a great ambiance and the staff was very professional and friendly. Keep in mind that it is a tight space. You may want to plan in advance if you decide to head there. They also have a great selection of wines. Having said that, I do feel like it's way overpriced for the type of food options in which they offer. I say this from a place of creativity for the dishes not the quality of the food. The fiancé and I ordered the ensalada de alcachofa, garbanzo fritos, gambas al ajillo and the piquillos rellenos de pisto. My thoughts on the dishes: ensalada de alcachofa: This salad was way too basic and also did not have a distinct dressing. garbanzo fritos: The beans were cooked perfectly. They had the perfect amount of crisp to them but they were still soft on the inside. At the end of the day, it's just chickpeas though. gambas al ajillo: This shrimp entree just wasn't what I was expecting. It was like a soup with bread on the side. I enjoyed the shrimp but it wasn't super flavorful. The dish wasn't very elevated. I got more full on the bread more than anything. piquillos rellenos de pisto: This was my favorite dish. The cheese really added lots of flavor and enhanced the dish.

Christ on a chopstick, I haven't seen an $8 sandwich since I was in grad school (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth)! We started with the Tamal Cubano, which was fantastically delicious, though the accompanying sauce wasn't hot at all. A shame, because it was well-flavored--just needed a lot more capsaicin. My Cubano was very well done, but barely had any pickle in it, which made me sad. I opted to add fries and wasn't sad about the small, thin ones I got (very McDonald's-shaped). However, the Pechuga de Pollo Adobada con Escabeche de Calabaza was a disappointment. The grilled chicken was drastically overcooked, probably because they used really lean breast meat. The accompanying Caribbean pumpkin was interesting, but too small. The other side of rice and beans was perfect, though--great bean texture and lots of savory flavor. With tax and tip included, our meal came out to $33. $33! You can't even get lunch for one person for that price at 90% of Manhattan restaurants south of Central Park. I could've cried with wonder at the bill. Time travel is real guys--at least financially. Just hop into El DeLorean and come to Chango.

It feels warm, intimate, almost like you've stepped into someone's beautifully designed home rather than a restaurant. At some point you find yourself under the retractable roof, looking up at the stars in the middle of New York, which is kind of wild in the best way. The food was honestly next level. You can tell there's a real San Sebastián influence behind it. Everything felt precise but still full of flavor and personality. Every dish that came out just kept building on the last. The presentation was beautiful without trying too hard, and the flavors were the kind that make you pause for a second after a bite. Service was exactly what you want it to be. Super attentive, really knowledgeable, but still relaxed. Nothing felt forced or overdone. I also have to mention the cocktails because they deserve it. Whoever is behind the bar knows what they're doing. I had the "Comandante on Vacation" and it was one of those drinks you immediately want another of before you're even halfway through. What I didn't expect was how the energy evolves during the night. There's a DJ, but it's not in your face. It just slowly lifts the whole atmosphere and suddenly dinner turns into something a bit more alive without losing that elevated feel. It's just one of those places where everything works.
