First time trying Salata and super surprised by how great it was! Lots of choices and so easy to personalize it to your exact taste! For sure I will be back!

This place was filthy....lost my appetite after a roach appeared. 2 out of the 3 employees were customer friendly. The 3rd only sat behind the register when he could have made better use of his time in the dining area.

The service here is horrendous. We got here at 8:15, and they had all the protein already setting outside of the cooler, none of greens were refilled. The dressing we're sitting on a cart. The food safety of this place should be a huge concern for the company. They're trying to break down early but sacrificing the safety of food temperature is not worth it.

    Soups...don't appear too appetizing!

No matter how it's tossed, I just don't find this place worthy of anymore of my money. This was my first time visiting the Memorial City mall location of this eatery. Albeit lunchtime, the place was not crowded. Service - The employees were friendly enough but completely scattered and unorganized. I asked for my salad to go and they still put it in a dine-in bowl. Handfuls of toppings were literally thrown on top. Once mixed, it was put into a to go container after my 3rd reminder. Taste - Meh. Just nothing special. Value - Way over priced. $7.00 base for a small salad and a $2 up-charge for grilled chicken. Seriously??? I've had entree salads that beat that price and tasted much better. I will not be back.

Me and coworkers order salads for lunch today and my salad was taste horrible and looks like it was made for a 5 year old child. I called and told them and I talked to Margarita and she was very nice and offered me a refund or make me another one. So I told her I'll just come after work for a new one. So when I get there I was telling them I talked to Margarita and it seems like they didnt believe me. I asked was she there they said no so I told them what happened. Geraldo I believe that's his name was helping me I asked him to put on fresh gloves bc he had those on when I walked in, then I was telling him what I want Leo which was rude said can I step behind the blue like with an attitude! I told him when he put on gloves. So as I'm telling him what I want he was so nonchalant! Then after he put my salad in a bowl he asked did I want a bag and just stood there like I wasnt suppose to have one!! Although he told me thank you the whole experience wasnt pleasant! Whish I can give zero stars. This is the third salatas I've went to and had bad customer service. I was told to write in and email (that I was given on here) and never got a respond. Next thing I'm going to do is write a letter or call because this is ridiculous!!! *the picture is how my salad looked when I got it earlier today for lunch!*

So I have tried the regular Caesar sandwich and the cojito- def love the cojito it's a bit of a Tex-Mex Caesar salad taste. Either way what they do is with the bread they pull the inside of the bread out and fill it with a salad, which is a sandwich portion so they don't open the bread up and slice it. If you don't have very many locations aren't exactly established yet in the city you're trying to plant in, and a patron comes in and says it's their first time, some recommendations and signature dish items would be nice to hear. There were a lot of staff on this Sunday afternoon, but didn't really see there was much effort into the overall experience. The food station was dirty and messy, there were gnats flying around our food where we were sitting, and when we got our zeppelins, it was drenched or drowning in the dressing and th overall sandwich was overly salty because of it. I ordered the Mediterranean Cobb and held off on the blue cheese and subbed feta. The grilled chicken literally was so chewy and tasted like rubber I had to spit it out and then pick the rest of the chicken out, this place is NOT cheap. Quite pricey for a large sub stuffed with a salad. If you're paying $15 for a sandwich, you expect to get quality ingredients. The chicken was not edible. Staff just stood around and would chit chat, not really attentive or maintaining the restaurant very well. I'm willing to give it another shot maybe and try their salad...but I'd heed on the dressing and ask for it on the side.

Eat, Drink, HTX…read more Made a reservation for a Sunday night dinner for three. The restaurant is so cute and cozy with tables and booths. Lots of TVs to watch the Olympic Games while you wait for dinner. I liked watching the open pizza oven. They make a lot of pizzas here. The Eat, Drink, HTX menus are a great way to try new restaurants while giving back to the Houston Food Bank. A starter, an entree and a dessert. $25 for dinner. So many choices on this menu. A great deal while helping out those in need. "Started" with the Turkey Samosas. Four crispy pastries that are filled with seasoned ground turkey, potatoes and parsley served with cucumber yogurt. Delicious! The Ember & Greens Soup that my family had was hot, hot, hot and so tasty. The fresh soup was filled with a blend of spinach, parsley, and cilantro with chickpeas, caramelized onions, pinto beans and quinoa. My FIL polished off his bowl! For dinner, we all had the Blackened Salmon. The salmon with lemon butter and avocado salsa served on roasted carrots, broccoli and potatoes and a bed of quinoa. It was a full plate, which we all took home for dinner the next day. Note: it is quite buttery. My FIL had his butter and avocado salsa on the side which worked for him. I loved mine as is. Even though we were pretty full, we still enjoyed dessert. The tiramisu was so indulgent. Loved the layered mascarpone custard, whipped cream, coffee liqueur and coffee-soaked ladyfingers. My FLI had the Chia Seed Pudding with fresh berries. What a great meal. We had a slight hiccup where the appetizers came slightly after the main meal was served, but they were so honest about what happened that I still have to give them five stars for their food and their service. Would try them again for their generous, delicious meals. Lots of parking. Water glasses were frequently filled both with and without meals. Thank you for a really nice Sunday night dinner with family.

It was a beautiful day, so it would have been the perfect day to eat outside if you like that. I'm an eat indoors kind of person, but if you like to eat outside, they do have a few tables for that. I was meeting a friend for lunch and she suggested Ember & Green. We really couldn't decide what to order, so we decided to order a few things and share them. We started off with the Persian Cucumber Sald. It had Persian cucumbers, heirloom cherry tomatoes, red onions, and Kalamata olives with oil and lemon dressing and topped with parsley and feta cheese. Let me tell you, thats lemon dressing was delicious! It went so well with the cucumbers. Next we ordered Blackened salmon with lemon butter and avocado salsa, served with charred broccolini, roasted carrots and potatoes on a bed of cilantro green pea quinoa. I'm really not a huge fan of salmon, but I'm trying to like it more by trying it different ways. The spices that they put on the salmon were really good, not too spicy, but also, not bland. It was also cooked perfectly. Oh, and that lemon butter... that lemon butter made the meal if you ask me. It was so good. So good in fact, I had to try and make salmon with lemon butter at him the very next week. Mine didn't come out as good as Ember & Greens, but it was decent. That just means that I need to leave the cooking to the professional. For dessert we decided to share the Skillet Cookie. Its a house made chocolate chip cookie baked in a cast iron skillet and topped with Amy's Mexican Vanilla Ice Cream and chocolate sauce. This was the only thing that we ordered that was a nope. I dont know what happened, but it didn't seem like it was cooked at all in the middle. We took a few bites, that was all we could eat of it. All and all, it was a good experience and I will go back. I'll just skip dessert next time.

One thing that really stood out, and I haven't seen many restaurants do this -- is that they offer you a small sample of the food before you order. That little touch made a huge difference! It helped me decide on the right heat level for my chicken and narrow down which sides I wanted. Such a simple gesture, but so thoughtful. I ordered the H-Town wings with the hot honey sauce and a side of their homemade ranch -- and WOW. The wings were incredible, and that ranch? Delicious doesn't even cover it. I also ordered the leg and thigh Korean style, and while the flavor was amazing, it was a bit too saucy for my taste. I hate sending food back, but I knew I wasn't going to eat it -- so I did. And let me tell you, they handled it with such grace and kindness. No attitude, no awkwardness -- just genuine, outstanding customer service. That right there says everything about the kind of establishment Tumble 22 is. I couldn't even finish everything (portions are generous!), but the leftovers reheated perfectly in the air fryer the next day. I will absolutely be back -- especially for those H-Town wings.
