I'M DONE!!! BUSINESS OWNERS PLEASE CHECK ON YOUR WORKERS!!! I have visited this location several times in the past and vowed that I would not brighten their dining room with my beautiful diamond-like presence ever again due to poor customer service. The workers are extremely rude, unfriendly, and unwelcoming! I wish I would have stuck to my guns and not graced this place again, but it's all good. I just hate spending my money in establishments where I am treated with disrespect and disregarded as a paying customer. Firstly, my daughter and I decided to have lunch after our workout on this particular day and we both wanted salads. Upon entering, we were greeted by one of the workers which was a surprise to me, because in the past they have never greeted me when I walk in. So, I'm thinking to myself that they have made some changes and that it may not be bad anymore to visit here. WRONG! As I was placing my order for a small salad, I asked if I could have a little more lettuce. The server paused a moment and then responded, "no we cannot give you more." I told her that I would pay extra money if she could give me a little more lettuce and that I have no problem paying. Before she could respond back to me, another worker who may have been the store manager, was standing behind her sweeping the floor, hurriedly and responded in a rude manner pointing and saying, "Read the signs. You only get this amount of lettuce for a small salad. We cannot give you more." I responded, "Ma'am I'm willing to pay. I really like a lot of lettuce in my salad." She then responded detestably, "Well you need to order a large salad!" I politely replied, "Okay, no problem. I can do that. You could have just said that in the first place, but thank you anyway. It's all worked out! Yay!" I did not want that much lettuce of a large salad but just a little bit more added to my small salad but was refused with such disdain. To make matters worse, I asked the server if she could please give me some of the fresh lettuce instead of the withered lettuce that was mixed in with the fresh. That really cooked their noodles. By this time, they were steaming-mad-hot with me. Furthermore, as I went down the line asking for my toppings, I dared not ask for extra, even though the amount of the toppings that they serve are the size of a freaking nickel. You know that little tiny serving spoon that they serve the toppings with? They only gave me one scoop of each of my toppings, but I dared not ask for two scoops, especially with the manager getting emotional behind me asking for extra lettuce as if she owns the place, lol. They also gave my daughter a hard time because she asked for extra chickpeas on her salad and for some of the fresh lettuce instead of the withered lettuce. They gave it to her but with such a nasty attitude, slamming her bowl of salad on the counter. We should have walked out right then and there and reported them to corporate. However, I just don't have the time and energy to waste on these unhappy and ungrateful people and besides, I was starving. I just know that I will never go back ever again to this location. Moreover, for my salad, I ordered Romaine Lettuce, jalapeños, cucumbers, tomatoes, avocado, banana peppers, black olives, cilantro, pumpkin seeds, and pesto chicken with the Balsamic Vinaigrette salad dressing on the side. My daughter ordered a small salad consisting of Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, chickpeas, avocado, and pesto chicken. We both opted out of them mixing and chopping our salads as we always do. As we approached the checkout counter, we were not offered any of the complimentary bread or chips that accompanies the salads. Although I didn't want either one of them, I waited for them to offer it up but they refused. So, I turned to my daughter and asked her if she wanted the complimentary bread or chips and she said, "no." Then and only then is when they opened their mouth to offer it to us. Overall, I love the concept of this establishment because it offers healthy eating options and has a variety of toppings and proteins to choose from. However, this location with its staff and their nasty attitudes and poor customer service skills can kick rocks. The dining room is always half clean each and every time I have visited. The food is expensive, which is to be expected because it is expensive to eat healthy, and I absolutely don't mind paying the high prices of eating healthy. However, when it comes to spending my money in any establishment, I expect to be treated with kindness, respect, and amiability. Is that too much to ask for? I spent a little over $40 for two salads and a drink. Oh, and let me not forget to mention the extra charge for the avocado that was added to my salad. Business owners should check in on their staff regularly at these places because I'm pretty sure they would not be too pleased with them running customers away, especially with other healthy restaurants popping up! read more

What can I say? The food was fine as it normally would be at chain like this. It was fresh, clean tasting, up to par. The workers seemed nice but wasn't really engaged with the customers. I did notice some tables not cleaned off as we entered and wasn't touched for another 10-15 minutes after we sat down. Normally I would be kind of meh about pricing for food but going to another Salata, I was like ok they give a good amount of food for the price. This specific Salata does not give a good amount of food. It was about 20-30% less than what I have gotten at other Salatas. Which sucks cause this is the closest to home. The salads are awesome. Build as you go sinilar a Chipotle or Subway but can be much healthier. The large bowls are big enough for 2 people. You spend about $10-$12 per person depending if you get drinks or the types of add ons you get on the salad. The place is big enough to get a table even at busy hours. Walked in 40 minutes before close to grab something quick to go. Young lady was infuriated that we were trying to order something. Didn't speak to us just stared and said, "well what do you want". Clean and great servers. However, we ordered our extremely average, everyday salad and wife and I had a $40 bill. I know there were add-ons along the way but weren't are of them. I have not been to Salata for over a year. A friend and decided to go for lunch. As you probably alright know if you read any of my reviews I have food allergies. (annoying I know) I told the sweet girl who was serving me about my tomato issue and before I could even ask her - she changed her gloves. (Thank you!!) The sweet girl continued to serve me through the whole process. My salad was so good. I did get salmon on my salad. It was so good. It was cold and fresh. Done with this location! Ordered online for pickup, called to ask if we could pick up earlier. We gave the confirmation number and they said okay. Got there, they did not have the order ready and couldn't even find it. We gave the number again but nothing so they made us fill out an order form again. Left out dressing and the croissant. If you are a diverse customer, don't expect to be treated with respect here. There is a middle aged Hispanic lady who works here (possibly the manager). She wears prescription glasses and has a Spanish accent. Anyway, I had the great pleasure of encountering her. Unfortunately, it wasn't the best service I received. I recall her arranging five salads which were called in by a customer. I stood in front of her for at least five minutes before she forced herself to acknowledge me while she appeared annoyed. She looked up and finally asked, "can I help you?" with vexation in her voice. I replied, "yes, may I have a small salad to-go" and she replied, "okay" while continuing to prepare the five salads she was working on previously. A few minutes passed and she requested for another young Hispanic male employee to assist me with my order. This male co-worker of hers helped take my order and I proceeded to the checkout register. While standing there momentarily, a customer entered the restaurant and inquired about his five salads that he ordered over the phone. The previously mentioned female employee tells the man that she is almost finished while appearing flustered. This female employee then looked over at the Hispanic male employee and says, "Llego tarde porque el chino"...which means, "I'm late because of the China man"... The funny thing is, I'm coincidentally not Chinese. I know it's easy for racists to mistake all Asians as Chinese and telling the difference between well-to-do urban dwellers is not always easy for some unfortunate souls miserably employed by Salata. Ordered two salads via Doordash. One was custom and the other was a Jalapeño-Avocado salad. I selected Pita chips instead of bread. I wish I hadn't. They were literally burned! Neither salad had any avocado in it! The tropical green tea didn't look or taste tropical or like green tea and it was brown. According to the tea colors on the site, it definitely wasn't the one I ordered. Two salads at $20 each with ingredients left off, incorrect drink and burned chips is unacceptable and robbery! This is my first visit. As a disabled veteran who is a bit overweight and diabetic, I needed to try to eat more healthy. I was recommended to try Salata and glad that I did. The food is always fresh. The service was terrible. The majority of people here don't speak English and only are nice to people who speak Spanish. The cashiers can't count. I was on the way to the outlet mall and decided to stop here for lunch and so glad I did. I'm a huge fan of Salata but I was upset that they stop selling their salad dressings. I absolutely love this place! I decided to come here because the restaurant is always sponsoring events at my kid's school and I wanted to pay it forward. Excellent customer service and the food is always fresh. The restaurant is clean and the bathroom is sanitized. I am always greeted by the staff and they really know how to keep the line moving. I just love this place. I've been here a dozen times and each time all the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. I haven't had any wilted or stale vegetables. There is a huge assortment of ingredients to create any salad combination you could possibly want. I've always ordered the chicken for protein. I have not tried another protein. The chicken tastes fresh as well. The staff is as friendly as they can be since they are overwhelmed with customers and to go orders when I go at lunch time. The tables are normally clean. Salata food is always awesome. However, employees at this location were not very friendly and seemed like they were more concerned about taking their breaks than keeping a clean, inviting restaurant. It is likely lack of training that results in dirty floors, tables and lackluster service. 7.16.17 I am updating this review and adding a star because of the quick positive response of Kyle in regards to keeping the dining room clean. Salata - ya let us down tonight. My hubby and I are regular customers. Like R E G U L A R (good) customers. Tonight, hubby gets two small salads to go. When we sit down to eat tonight, kinda surprised by the puniness of BOTH salads. Hubby says there was a new girl that was being trained and maybe that was it. But to pay $22 and $3 for a tip and get a salad that fills only a third of the container is just plain being ripped off. And my salad was nearly ALL spine of the romaine leaves. So disappointing. But today is the time I had a reason to write a bad one unfortunately and not a good one. Now I have a comment on here talking about "proper portion" and "within reason" What if I wanted an improper portion of mangos and an unreasonable amount of mangos? If you have it shouldn't you serve it even if it cost a little extra? I don't mind paying for what I get. If it's possible to give me more and it will make your customer happy shouldn't you just do it? I typically love Salata, but not this location! Not sure if these are chains or not but this Salata does not measure up to the others! For whatever reason, this location is so very, very, tight when serving you salad and toppings! No one wants to have to ask for 2 spoon scoops of something on the large salad! They are cheap on the lettuce, which is so ridiculous. You would think lettuce cost a fortune! I have shared with the manager on more than one occasion and no one cares!
