The prices are a bit above average but it can very well be attributed to visiting this particular location inside the Palisades Mall. I ordered the turkey club salad which came with greens, tomatoes, bacon pieces, turkey, a rotini like pasta and "lite" ranch dressing. It was just okay. It came with a small dinner roll which was decent and washed it all down with a zero sugar peach Snapple tea. Total price was about $18.00. If you're looking for "healthier" options in a mall food court, this is probably your best bet. Service was fast and friendly. read more

Located in the food court of the mall I honestly didn't have too high of expectations. I will say that I frequent salad places when in Manhattan but have never been to Saladworks. I will say the gentleman running the store kept everything very neat and tidy. Usually at these salad places there could be a mess going on behind the counter but not here. I made my own salad with a whole lot of toppings. My favorite base is kale since it stays crunchy no matter what dressing or topping you put on. I love getting avocado on it too even though it is a little extra. For dressing I went with caesar since you can't go wrong with that. In the end it wasn't a bad salad. Not sure I would come back but the store was clean and my lunch was good. 3.5 stars if I am being fair but I will bump it to 4 stars due to the attention to cleanliness. read more

Mediocre and over priced with small portions. I visited in April 2021 [during covid], so idk if that makes any difference. The prices were high and the portions pretty small. I regularly go to Chopt, and this place just doesn't live up. I had the Cobb salad and asked for hot peppers to be added. The salad was $10.99 on the menu and then I was charged over a dollar more for the hot peppers. I would've been ok with being charged for extras, but there were barely any pieces of pepper in my salad, and none of them were even remotely hot. I would imagine a "fresh" place would have fresh or at least pickled Jalapenos -- but instead tiny bits of extremely mild bright yellow peppers. Overall flavors were not bad -- I got the Balsamic dressing on my Cobb and requested it lightly dressed - and I'm glad I did. "Lightly dressed" would've been enough dressing for a salad twice as big as what I got. FWIW - their salads don't even come close to filling the bowls/containers -- and all the goods are pre-chopped. Generally, I like Saladworks pick two options. My usual is the turkey pesto half sandwich and their chicken Cobb salad with dressings on the side. Food: 5 stars because it's healthy and yes, you can tweak the ingredients if you're watching your waistline. Price: 1 star because how much does lettuce cost? I understand healthy food costs more than some pizzas but I still can't get over the fact that my half sandwich and half salad (small portions by the way) costs $11 alone! This is why Saladworks is only when I'm on the go and need to stay eating healthy. Service: 3 stars even though my server was quick and made the order exactly as I requested, there was another staff who was pushy and wanting to move the ordering along by rushing through things and making the ingredients area messy. While I believe all customers appreciate to have their orders prepared quickly but if you're going to make a mess and then try to serve the customers with it, that's a no no for me. Overall, I wished there are more healthy options at Palisades Mall, so I wouldn't have to resort to a very limited option at food court. read more

Work had lunch ordered in from Saladworks the other day. When the food arrived I was a little perplexed as I had never heard of this place before. Upon further research, I learned the closest location to me was inside the Palisades Mall. This made me a little weary - a fast foodish place in the mall that caters? I really couldn't complain because I didn't choose the food, so I went in with an open mind. Judging from these reviews, it looks like their catering is better than actually going to Saladworks. We were provided wraps and a large tray of salad with chicken, blue cheese, candied walnuts, and dried cranberries. The wraps and salad were really tasty - super fresh and paired with a number of dressing options. Is this a place I'm running to? Not really, but judging from what I had Saladworks came through. It's definitely a place to keep in mind if I'm ever seeking lunch in the Palisades. read more

Choose from their regular salad menu or go a la carte like I did and pick any ingredients you want for a price. Everything I got was fresh, though on the downside they really skimped on my proteins. I was really excited to try the new Saladworks in the Palisades Mall because I am a huge salad lover. No matter if it's healthy or full of calories, salads are one of my favorite foods. Here is the rundown: Food: The salad ingredients were fresh and quality. I had "Sophie's," which is just the usual candied nuts, dark green lettuce, blue cheese, craisins, and fresh green apples. This is one of my favorite types of salad and I usually get it with raspberry vinaigrette but I wanted to try their blue cheese dressing. It was hard to taste the blue cheese dressing because there is already blue cheese in it, but that's my fault. But the salad tasted really good! The portions were perfect and I liked how they put the ingredients on top of the bed of lettuce but mixed the dressing in with the ingredients. It comes with a roll which was warm and fresh. Because I got the combo, I also had a small bowl of vegetable soup. The soup was fine and probably from a defrosted bulk bag. Service: Because it is in a mall food court, my expectations aren't that high to begin with and they met them. The "salad-making-lady" was very busy and harried, but friendly and receptive. I liked her. The soup-roll-Pepsi lady was more relaxed and nice as well. Good service and I appreciated the square plastic plate instead of some take-out contraption. Price: Always the biggest problem at these kinds of places. It was nearly $12 for the whole combo. That's close to the price at most full service restaurants. I understand that their food costs are high and, to keep ingredients fresh, waste is high too. I don't really blame them. I just wish it was cheaper. Lol. As far as most salad places I know, this is just an average salad place... best in the food court for sure, but that isn't saying much. I just came off an entrei month of salads and the most important thing i found were that they were willing to mix it or preferably chop it before serving - neither was actually done. Then the quality of ingredients - they tasted fresh, but not high quality. The salad was very watery and tasted almost like the ingredients were bland. I've had salads here a few times, so if you are in the food court, I'd recommend it, but if you have the ability to go elsewhere, take it. read more

I went to the Palisades Mall Saladworks. I wish I read the reviews before I ordered. I also wish I just listened to my gut and walked away when I saw the crappy romaine lettuce that had browned in color. I asked for fresh lettuce and the nice kid behind the counter went in to a fresh batch that was being refrigerated. I then heard what I assume to be a manager scold him for going into the fresh stash. I spoke up and said, "You should really switch out that romaine, it doesn't look good. And with the recent E. coli outbreak I can't imagine many people would be willing to eat it." He responded with contempt, "Yeah, we weren't effected. It's fine." I regretted that I had already paid and sat and ate my overly priced kid sized salad. Will NOT be returning. read more

The food was ok. Good variety of ingredients. I felt the quantity of chicken was a little light in my Southwest chicken seasonal salad and the overall quantity was light compared to Subway, for example. I won't return to this establishment however because of the poor treatment we received from the owner/manager of the store. We had a coupon that came in the mail for 1/2 off a signature salad when purchased with a seasonal salad. We had never eaten here before and did not look at the prices because we were so hungry, so we had no idea what the total bill should've been. We paid what was asked and thought nothing of it. The cashier accepted our coupon and we had no discussions about the coupon or the total price. Low and behold, 5-7 minutes later, WHILE MY WIFE AND I WERE EATING, the owner/manager hunted us down in the food court (as we were not sitting near the store) and came over to us with the internal cash register receipt and some scratch math he worked up on another piece of paper. He did say "excuse me" but not in the tone I would have expected for what came next... Rather than approaching us politely and calmly, he brusquely informed us that his cashier made a mistake and had charged us 1/2 off BOTH salads and not the one, and insisted, with rapidly escalating belligerence, that we owed him the difference (which was about $5.00). As we came to understand his point and his tone grew increasingly hostile, we handed him the $5.00 and asked him to please leave (he kept talking to try and rationalize why he thought what he was doing was acceptable). I never heard of a fast food chain chasing you down because they under charged you. Nonetheless, because I like to think the world is a better place if we all do the right thing, we had no problem paying the money. The issue we have was the petty and aggressive way in which he went about it. In fact, he intimated that he was going to take it out of his employee's pay too, even if we paid. In hindsight, we should have gotten up, gone back to the register and given the money to the employee to pay to his boss! It's a shame to see such disregard for customer service and social decency in someone who has been in the fast food mall business for decades (I have seen him around at other stores). I hope he uses the $5.00 to take some social etiquette classes. read more

I want to buy salad one of the employees was cleaning the glass. He was spraying red wine vinegar on the glass I asked him if he knows that the chemicals is getting in the foot on the food he told me it was red wine vinegar it was OK me while he spraying it out of a plastic bottle what is OK about that someone needs to have the talk with their employee they should cover the food before they clean the glass or take the food out. I gave them one star because he didn't care about the food nor the fact that I was complaining about the vinegar are you in the food so I guess if you get cheese is supposed to get she's with vinegar I guess if you get peppers he supposed to get peppers with vinegar and onions are supposed to have vinegar want it because they're sprayed it to clean the glass. I have gone to salad works on numerous occasions, but today I was very disappointed. As a matter of fact, I am unsure if I will ever return to the salad works at the Palisades Center mall in the future. I ordered a Greek salad-to-go and asked to have turkey added to it. About 10min. later I opened up my salad and was greeted with a very foul odor. I realized that it was coming from the turkey pieces in the salad. The turkey had a foul odor with a slimey-like consistency. I also examined the other toppings in the salad and noticed that NOTHING WAS FRESH! Even the cucumbers appeared as if they were about to spoil in a matter of moments. The spinach was old and wrinkled. The bar that separates the customer makes it very hard to see all the imperfections of the food. Overall, I am very unhappy with this purchase and even more upset because I now remain without a lunch for the day and with a deficit of approximately $9.00. Not a good experience at all. This is a mistake that should not occur in a company who boasts "America's fresh tossed salad". After today that is very much an oxymoron. Did I forget to mention the server who placed a fork that was laying on the counter for who knows how long right into my bag? Good thing I was watching, because I had to tell him to replace that fork with a new one. Bottom line is: As a customer, I should not have to inspect my food or doubt freshness nor cleanness. I ate at the SaladWorks at Palisades yesterday afternoon. I'm not a very picky eater, but I try to select healthy options. Yesterday, I ordered a chicken salad with tomatoes, avocado, egg, pepper jack cheese and balsamic vinaigrette dressing. That's the only thing I ate yesterday and I didn't feel quite right afterwards. Within a few hours, I became incredibly nauseous. Last night, I was running to the bathroom non-stop. I couldn't sleep. Even today, over 24 hours later, I still feel like 100% crap. I've been laying on the couch all day. I highly recommend avoiding this restaurant. The salad cost nearly ten bucks, but at least they threw in the food poisoning for free. read more

If you used to go there a lot like I used to, you will now notice the difference in their serving size the manager is looking over the server's shoulder like a hawk and would grunted if he thinks the serving is too much.
