Came here after an intense study session bc we had a huge exam coming up & omg the food was SO good. Their birria tacos were filled with meat and the cheese pull was 10/10. Their nachos were also packed & had so many toppings piled on top. I also got their horchata bc who doesn't love horchata, and it was a lil too sweet for me but still good regardless. 10/10 would come back to try other things and introduce more friends to this place

Margaritas was good, alcohol potency was strong but subtle and still flavorful l. The wings was delicious , definetly going to try the buffalo wings next time. In my opinion the shrimp taco was the best. The steak had flavor but you could'nt taste the flavor in the taco and the other tacos did not have enough flavor for me to say much about them.

On our way back from Harriman State Park to NYC, my boyfriend and I stopped by Tarrytown to eat. We choose to go to The Taco Project, because it is one of the few restaurants we haven't eaten yet in town. The restaurant is small, it has a mixture of high and low top tables and a counter near the windows, which we sat at to people watch. The food is reasonably priced. We received 2 tacos for more of less $10 (depending on what type you order). Horchata was only $4. Wasn't the best I've ever had, but wasn't bad either. My boyfriend said he did not enjoy his taco. He ordered the shrimp one, and he said he should've tried the steak one. The shrimp wasn't up to his standards. I got the BBQ pulled pork tacos. It had various ingredients which I thought went well together. The BBQ sauce wasn't very harsh. You could taste it, but it wasn't overpowering. My boyfriend also ordered the Taco Project Wings for $13. I don't like Buffalo sauce and it is the only flavor they served it in. I tried one anyway, and again the flavor wasn't overpowering like in other places - it was just right. The chicken was prepared well. If I liked the sauce I would've definitely had more. The employees are nice and the service is quick. I even got a sticker because when I asked for one (I like to scrapbook). The restaurant is kept very clean. The decorations are very colorful. Very cutsey. Fresh flowers on every table. Overall a good experience. Very good for a quick and cheap bite. Overall we ended up spending less then $30 for 2 sets of tacos, wings and 2 horchatas.

Mexican and vegan cuisine don't always seem to mix, so it's rare to find a place that not only accommodates an ethical vegan like myself and my omnivore friend, but does so with thoughtful attention to detail. The Taco Project exceeded all expectations! We were incredibly lucky to visit today and receive the most welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and all-around exceptional customer service from Julian. He was fantastic! Julian helped me make the best choices as a vegan, taking extra care to explain which items might have cross-contamination with oil and ensuring I felt completely catered to. My friend, an omnivore, was equally impressed--her dishes were just as outstanding. The restaurant itself is clean, cozy, and inviting, with large glass windows that offer a view of Tarrytown's charming historic street. The interior features exposed brick walls and stunning azure blue accents with beautifully painted designs throughout. Just inside, to the left, you'll notice proudly displayed awards recognizing The Taco Project as the Best Mexican Restaurant and Taco Spot in Westchester County for multiple consecutive years--and for good reason! Their beverage selection is fantastic, with options like cold Horchata, hibiscus tea, lemonade, Sangria, and even Coronas. Unfortunately, I couldn't try any of the desserts, but the churros and flan looked absolutely amazing. One of the best parts? The Taco Project has multiple locations, making it even easier to enjoy their incredible food. They even have an app for added convenience! Julian truly went above and beyond, serving as a perfect ambassador for this hidden gem of a restaurant. We will definitely be back, and we'll be telling all our friends! Make The Taco Project your go-to spot for incredible Mexican fare--you won't be disappointed!

It's the Halloween parade and we are stuck on the other side of the street. No worries - we ordered online and my daughter slipped through the street barriers to get our dinner! It was an easy ordering process and done a few minutes early even though it was busy!! The food- compact. Birria, delicious! Messy but most burritos are. Would appreciate if they didn't cut it! How come I couldn't order extra sour cream in the app on the burrito? The quesadilla- really cheesy. Yum!

Tiny crowded place. Friendly service. Ordered and got super lucky to get a seat by the window. The tables in the middle were right next to the line of people waiting to order and pickup, so it felt like people would be on top of us while we ate. Worth the wait for the Pork Belly Tacos, I wish they were in NJ, hehehe. BBQ Pulled Pork Tacos were OK. It was a good sauce for ribs, but it didn't go well as a taco. Hubby did like it more than I did, hehehe

I am in love with the taco project guacamole I don't know what they do to it, but I will keep ordering it at least once a week. The shop itself is very cozy. The staff is amazing. Service is always impeccable.

Taco Project a place I've always wanted to try and finally had the time to give it a go. I definitely can say this will be our go-to taco spot whenever we are in the mood for good tacos. The tacos to order are: - Battered Fish: Atlantic Cod topped with Red Cabbage Slaw, Guaca Salsa, Cilantro, and Radish -Chicken: Free Range Chicken Rolled in Chipotle topped with Cilantro, Jicama, and Radish -Grilled Shrimp: Mango Salsa, Tomatillo Sauce, Cilantro, and Radish I would recommend the battered fish tacos which is glorious for the taste buds Also all three tacos are gluten free except for battered fish but can be grilled. -Service was exceptional in helping for dietary restrictions -Cute Ambiance

Had an amazing time at The Taco Project in Tarrytown! Everything was so good -- from the Palomas and Mojitos to the Spicy Mango and Passion Fruit Margaritas. We loved the Buffalo Wings, Tuna Tostadas, and Nachos. The tacos were the best -- Birria, El Pastor, and Shrimp, full of flavor. Finished with Flan and one of the best Tres Leches ever. Big thanks to Julian for being so friendly and helping us with the menu!

Julian is an excellent and welcoming host. Fun bright corner joint with about 7 high top tables and counters - the food is delicious and they are vegan friendly too. Clean bright atmosphere with decent Mexican music playing in the background. Service is quick. Good selection of tacos and bowls - ordered extra spicy salsa and guacamole ! Will definitely return

The Taco Project is a cool restaurant. Loved the vibe and the food was pretty good. Food: So, let's taco 'bout this place! I dove into the Chili Shrimp and Mexican Corn Tacos, while my buddy tackled the Birria Bowl. The shrimp had some killer flavors, especially after I added a squirt of salsa verde for that extra kick. Only gripe? Wish they offered singles so I could mix it up. And those tortillas? Super tasty, but man, double 'em up next time to avoid the messy "blowout" situation. He loved the Birra Bowl. Super filling and satisfying. I also like that they have Margaritas, a nice surprise. Now, onto service: These guys were the real MVPs. Despite the fast-casual setup, they kept tables clean and were all over the dining area like pros. Vibe-wise? Cool as a cucumber. Digging the décor and that sunny corner spot, even on a gloomy day. Great place to chill and chow down. They have one in Stamford, where I have a client, so I will give that location a try as well. Date of Visit: 20 March 2024

Had a great, casual dinner here on a Saturday night! The ambience is nice--large windows let in a lot of light, and you have the option of sitting inside or outside. We saw a lot of cute dogs with their owners at the tables outside. How it works is you order at the counter--there's a pretty decent size menu with tacos, burritos, bowls, not to mention a few other side dishes, desserts and drinks. For two people, we ordered: Salmon tacos (3/5) not great, a little too much mayo. Shrimp bowl (4/5) the shrimp was crispy and fried well. I liked the combo of everything in the bowl although I wasn't a fan of the taco shell bowl itself. Guacamole and chips (5/5) sooooo good. You get a really big portion of guacamole! We loved this.

I very rarely eat anywhere else other than the Greek spot in Tarrytown. Boy, was I missing out. I came here with a solid GHOUL crowd for our annual Halloween fill and spent the whole day bopping around. I remembered that the Taco Project always appears to be busy. And since it was a Monday, I was hoping we could manage to squeeze in. Who would deny 5 little spooky ladies a taco! We snagged the last outside table that could fit a large group. We all ordered from the counter which was helpful to not fight over the bill. And then the food all looked great. Running around a cemetery is tiresome and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I needed some fish tacos! And chips and guac! And a Modelo! Nom nom nom! The ghouls were all super excited about their choices. When the twins came out with "Pumpkin Margaritas" we knew we had to jump in line for that one. My tacos were the perfect size, I loved the breading for the tacos, the slaw was perfect and the tortilla almost stole the show. My guac was spot on and the chips were nice crunchy. We were all insanely happy with our choices and wish there was a NY location closer to us. We could always use some high quality tacos. There was still so much we wanted to try. Especially those churros! The guy working the register was super nice and complimented us on our "Halloween" flare (who are we kidding, this is us every day). Ha! It's nice to have great food, friendly service and the best company. PS that's the fire station making that weird noise. Don't worry about it. Until next time The Taco Project!

The fries here are absolutely delicious and I'm sorry that I opted for the salad as it did leave some to be desired. I do wish we would have some salsa options with our meal. I did receive a verde sauce when I asked. The horchata here is lovely as it was very sweet. It did have a chalky like taste towards the middle. The flavor was on point. My burrito I had asked with black beans and in default I was told it comes with pinto beans. It was a huge disappointment as this type of bean doesn't agree with my stomach. Overall, I would return if I'm in the area again. I do wish we just had some more sauce options. The inside is very festive with decor. The menu is very expensive with a lot to choose from. I noticed this was one of the busiest restaurants on the strip.

Upon entering, it feels like you're in a local mom & pop shop in Mexico. The decor and tables are vibrant and colorful. Not only do they sell hot food but items you'd find in a Mexican supermarket as well. The complimentary Chips & Salsa were super tasty; the chips were warm & crisp and the salsa was fresh & mild. The tacos are massive and loaded with toppings! The Carne Asada Tacos were savory, smoky, and flavorful. The toppings provided some freshness and balance to each bite. The Fish Tacos were a good try but less enjoyable. Although the fish was fried perfectly, it was unseasoned; a little salt & pepper would have went a long way. There was also way too much lettuce that masked the fish and the tomatoes were a bit unnecessary too. I loved the orange sauce it came with however! We tried both sauces (green & red) which were absolutely delicious and a must add! All in all, great try. Stick with the meats when you come here and enjoy some tacos!
