I ate a gigantic burrito here and it made me happy. Got there before a rush, about 8:15pm....so I timed it right. This burrito was about 10 pounds-packed with everything that could possibly fit inside a giant tortilla. Best thing that happened to me today. Small place with a few tables-2 TV's doing at the same time.... so a little noisy... but whatever. Good food!! FYI-Parking can be challenging.

I really loved my lunch here the other day. We were in search of some good Mexican food and we found some! I'm always a sucker for a fried tortilla bowl so when I saw it on the menu I knew I needed to have it. We ordered the chorizo taco bowl and it was so so good. The fillings were perfection and the bowl was almost perfect! It was either a little over cooked or needed an oil change but overall it was great. We also ordered shrimp and chicken tacos. They were also both really good with a lot of meat. I'd love to see some additional toppings but what they had was good. We also ordered chips and nacho cheese because I never see nacho cheese on menus and needed it! The inside is decorated in all things Coco the movie. It's a medium/smallish restaurant but you could easily fit a group of 6. Our server was friendly. The parking on that street was a bit confusing as there were no meters but they have a sign inside making it easy to realize you need to pay and helps you figure out how which we really appreciated. Overall good experience and we'll be back!

6 Oz. Guacamole and Chips

Stopped by for lunch over the weekend. Ordered some chips and guac (6oz), birria tacos, and Baja fish tacos. The guac was good but they don't give you a lot. The fish tacos were excellent, would come back just for this. The birria tacos had great flavor but some bites were extremely fatty and impossible to chewy through. Had a hard time eating those, probably wouldn't get them again. Service was good (fast) but not friendly. The vibes of the restaurant are funny and you will see what I mean once you eat here. Extremely colorful decor and seems like it's based off a cartoon movie.

My family had a wonderful time here. The food and ambience were authentic. I'll be back real soon. The staff were very nice and attentive.

Steak tostadas

The tostadas are fantastic!!! I don't think they are the menu but ask and ye shall receive! They were $5 each and two were more than enough. They give you a green sauce with it; it's not spicy, kind of tastes like cilantro and is delicious. We also had a small chicken and tortilla soup, also delicious! The horchata for $2 also really good. Essentially everything was DELICIOUS. Too bad I don't live closer!

Nice little spot to walk over to away from the main crowd on Main Street. Delicious food. Friendly staff. The corn and pork tacos were yummy

Birria Tacos: Trendy...but also great.

This place was great! The guys working at the counter were very nice, the prices were really good, and my food was ready more quickly than promised. The Baja fish taco was HUGE, but unfortunately the fried fish they used was too reminiscent of Gorton's. That aside, everything else seemed to be fresh and/or homemade, from the tortillas, to the various sauces, to the birria tacos, which were the best I've had, in my limited experiences with them. The beef empanada was delicious as well, as was my complimentary slice of tres leches cake. Glad I randomly tried it out, and will definitely be back.

Birria Tacos were crunchy, juicy and flavorful. The sauce that came with them am compliments them perfectly. Highly recommend trying

My favorite type of Mexican food usually comes from hole in the wall type places like this. I must say, their tacos were some of the best I've had and I'd say even rivaled the great tacos I enjoyed while on vacation in souther California. The big hit was the birria taco. I wanted to drink the sauce that it's served with to dip in. The cool thing about their tacos is that each one is unique. It's not just the same taco with a different protein like other places might do. Prices are more than fair. If you are in the area and craving tacos, this is a must-try.

Their food is great, their delivery is not. Every time it takes more than an hour for the food arrive, never at the quoted time frame.

I was excited to try this place my girlfriends recommended for our Saturday night dinner, but it…read morewas disappointing. The pato en mole poblano was described as half a duck, but what I got were two small, dry pieces of duck that were tasteless without the sauce. The waiter insisted it was correct, but it clearly wasn't, and no effort was made to fix it. Service was very slow it took about 20 minutes just to order drinks, and another couple even left after they were seated. The sangria tasted good but had no fruit and our glasses were mostly ice. The guacamole was good! My girlfriend's food was just okay. Nice ambiance, but I'd only return to try their Mexican dishes and expect slow service.

We've had La Chinita Poblana on our radar for quite some time. So, recently, we took the train up…read morefrom Riverdale to Irvington and walked up the hill to check it out. It was quiet inside, which we thought was not a good sign... but, soon enough, we knew we had made a great choice. La Chinita Poblana is quite the gem! To start, we ordered their house margaritas and some nachos (with pastor). We also had their complimentary chips and salsa. The drinks were tasty enough (I ended up ordering a 2nd one later one), but the nachos were off the chain. So yummy! And the dish was huge! After the nachos, we decided on the chicken enchiladas with verde sauce to split. The enchiladas were also super tasty!! I would definitely order these again. Oh, and they came with rice and beans (also tasty). We will definitely be trying La Chinita Poblana again. I'd like to go on a night where there are more patrons next time--maybe for Happy Hour. The place has a fun vibe, and I hear it is more happening on some nights (e.g., Ladies' Night on Thursdays).

We've recently moved back here, and this will be my go to place from now on for Tacos. If you come here during happy hour (3:30-6, I think), the place is inexpensive. I don't understand many of these reviews; they say that the food and drinks are great, then give the place 3 stars. Am I missing something? Solid 5 stars from me- keep up the good work!

I liked all the decor they had. The food was okay -- not the worst but maybe not my favorite. The chips were good and the salsa had something going on that we couldn't figure out but really enjoyed. We got the fish tacos, chicken tacos, and beef tacos. The fish tacos were pretty good but mild in flavoring. The chicken tacos were also pretty mild in flavor but the toppings were very tasty, and the beef tacos tasted too much like tomato sauce for my liking. I would maybe try something else the next time I visited to give this place a second shot, but the space itself was very nice.

First time visiting and it definitely won't be my last! This restaurant has been around for about…read moresix years, and I'll admit I had previously dismissed it because it's located in an outer strip of stores where Harmon and Bed Bath & Beyond once were. I truly wish I hadn't--because I was thoroughly impressed with the food, the dĆ©cor, the service, and the extensive menu. There are so many dishes I want to come back and try. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant impressed us with its vibrant, themed dĆ©cor and incredibly friendly staff who made us feel right at home. Warm tortilla chips with chunky salsa and glasses of water were brought to our table immediately after we sat down, which was a great start. They have a full-service bar, and while they don't offer frozen cocktails, we honestly didn't miss them. I had a coconut margarita, and my husband enjoyed a passionfruit rum cocktail. He doesn't drink tequila, so I asked if rum could be substituted, and they were more than happy to accommodate. He chose a TajĆn rim, while I opted for sugar instead of salt. Both drinks were strong, flavorful, and served in really nice, heavy margarita glasses. We both chose specials from the House Special Grill, and wow--what a great decision. My husband had the skirt steak and jumbo shrimp, served with a creamy corn salsa, and he loved every bite. I ordered the grilled steak with sautĆ©ed onions, homemade tortillas, cactus pad (nopales), rice, and beans. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and perfectly prepared. We ended the night on a high note with dessert--one of the best flans I've ever had--paired with a glass of hot Mexican coffee. Absolutely delicious. Amazing food, great drinks, welcoming service, and a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend!
