Really an excellent place! I highly recommend you go here! Diego and his family were really welcoming. It's a family run business, and you can tell - the food's great! You can find parking easily on the street. The flavors were excellent, especially the home made sauces. Everything was good! There's seating inside, too.

Maya's is nice and small, quick service and great flavor in the dishes. There are only two tables. It appears to be more a place to pick up food but it was nice and quiet and served us well.

*** Take out *** Stopped by around 5pm for some late lunch. I ordered - Chicken taco - dry Chopped chicken, wrapped in 2 small tortillas Chicken Tinga taco - mildly spicy shredded chicken wrapped in two tortillas Chicken Chimichinga - two small tortillas filled with sliced beef steak wrapped and fried to give a crunchy / soft simultaneous texture. Comes with rice, beans, spring mix salad & avocado. Its a small space with a few tables & chairs. Staff welcoming and friendly. Price to portion ratio within standard - considering you're out of the city and limited similar cuisines nearby / in town. Overall okay to good taste / flavor for each items.

The cutest, most authentic, Mexican food you will find. A hidden gem in Briarcliff Manor. Always plenty of street parking available. This place is always kept clean. Sparkling clean! A very small restaurant, with only 4 or 5 tables, that does the bulk of its business in take out apparently. Since we don't live nearby, is a destination for us and we eat in or outside where there are additionally two tables with umbrellas. Every item that is made and comes to your table is always the freshest, and well presented! The ubiquitous corn chips and salsa at the beginning or anything but ordinary. The additionally give you two other salsas on the table. One is a medium verde and the other it is a spicy one. All of them are amazing and compliment every dish. Displayed here is what we ate. We had the enchiladas suiza which had the most amazing verde sauce on top, a chicken torta that was stuffed with grilled chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, sliced avocado and mex cheese, and a steak Burrito that was stuffed and the size of a football! So much food! All items come with french fries which are delicious, but they will substitute anything for you. I always choose to get rice and beans, and my wife always gets this beautiful salad. If and when you have room for dessert, they always have freshly made flan, rice pudding, and tres leches. Plenty of Mexican sodas. Everybody is so kind in this place. The prices are so reasonable as well. This place flies under the radar, but it shouldn't fly under yours. Go!

The menu is eclectic with a concentration on fish, oysters, scallops, mussels, etc, though there are chicken dishes.... Chicken martini... veal dishes, and steaks. We had a perfectly balanced lunch ...35 dollars... salad or soup, and an entree. The choices were balanced and varied... something for everyone. The salmon and chicken entrees were wonderful... pan seared salmon, done to perfection and a chicken martini that was amazingly tender. The salad was beautifully prepared, a paring of cucumber held it together, and the soup... the clam chowder...creamy, delicate, with wonderfully diced clams and potatoes... a lovely concoction of taste and texture. When we had finished the lunch, we had cappuccinos and coffee. We were asked by our server, who happened to be the owner... so engaging and knowledgeable... if we wanted dessert, and when we replied we would love to but we were not, even though we had a birthday to celebrate, he brought us out a tartufo divided into quarters with a lit candle in a strawberry.... A marvelous touch to a marvelous lunch! The restaurant is outfitted very well... very soft lighting amidst a modern decor.... I recommend the Dive Oyster House to all... a fabulous addition to the Westchester dining scene.

The server kindly asked if we wanted the octopus first, and I said yes since it was for my son. Unfortunately, it was spicy, which wasn't mentioned. They were kind enough to remake it, although my son no longer wanted it. The octopus itself was very good and came with beans. All the pastas were delicious! We also tried both East and West Coast oysters and ended up ordering six more East Coast ones. Overall, a very enjoyable meal with delicious seafood and attentive service. Would come back!

Disclaimer: I always give my stars rating based on the type of restaurant, so I rate a Michelin…read morestar differently than a great hang place. We were heading up to Croton-on-Hudson for a show and none of the restaurant options were looking appealing. We wanted something with a view of the water since it was the first truly Spring weather day we'd had this season. I saw that the rating for this place wasn't spectacular, but loved the photos and decided to read recent ratings, and we decided, even if the food is "meh" at least we'll be outside by the water. The Boathouse did not disappoint. The host who seated us was friendly and enthusiastic. Our server was everything you want in a server: Friendly, Confident in making suggestions, Attentive without being pushy or annoying, and just an honestly great man who was so fun to chat with. We both just had mains: Husband had the seafood gumbo. Wow! So packed with flavor, and yes, the spice hit you on the back end, but SO yummy. Packed with seafood and sausage, rice that wasn't gummy, and I am sorry Tom Colicchio, the okra was delicious! The "slime" that we all fear had more of a velvety texture that was not off-putting at all, and the flavor was really unique and enjoyable. i had the Shrimp Luciano. Five jumbo shrimp without a hint of vein or shell, sautéed in an egg batter that crisped at the edges. The sauce...omg....so flavorful. I find so often that chefs add too much of spice and herb but not here. It was well balanced and so yummy. If I wasn't in public, I would have licked the plate clean! Oh, and it came with green beans, one of my least favorite vegetables because again, I find so many just over cook and over season. This were lightly sautéed so they had a fresh from the garden taste and a perfect snap to them. Garlic mashed potatoes...made with red bliss...had a sweet element, not sugary, but there was a flavor were just couldn't identify....maybe a hit a nutmeg? Regardless, they were heavenly. Then we made the decision to share a slice of the crème brûlée cheesecake. We didn't have room, but our "neighbors" at the next table said we had to try it...so we did. WOW! This was not your typical heavy overly sweet cheesecake. It was light, had specks of vanilla, a very thin lovely crust and the taste....sooooooo good. The wine by the glass choices were great: $12 for a wonderful glass of Albariño?? It was so crips and light and perfect with my meal. Husband had an IPA...we think it was called Maine Lunch and it was also delightful. I will note: the tables are NOT on the dock. They are a ways back but the water view surrounds you. I saw some tables set up right by the dock edge near the water and apparently they have a bar and music there once it gets warm. If it wasn't a 2 hour in traffic drive, this would be our new regular haunt. For now, we will have to make excuses to go up this way!

We walked into a noisy sports kind of bar area which I don't tend to enjoy but then we were seated in the dining area next to the windows. It was a dreary, rainy day so we couldn't enjoy the view so much but I know on a sunny day it would be ideal. I had the arancini which was divine! Mom had the steak tips which was way more than she could eat in one go and my husband had fish and chips. We were all completely satisfied!

To say this restaurant's location and exterior is unassuming is very much an understatement…read more Inside, it is beautiful and has a wonderful ambiance. It was most unusual that our party of four all ordered the same. We started with a special app - Fried Shrimp & Calamari. Soo Delish! We followed with the signature dish, Cod Fish & Chips. I have had this entree in, I'd estimate, 50 restaurants, including several in England where I think it originated. NONE even come close to here! Oh My - the two big, thick pieces of lightly battered fresh cod fried to perfection! Flaky, moist and delectable. It just doesn't get any better! Wow! The fresh, hand-cut thick fries were again fried to perfection. Golden crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. I don't know what their secret frying technique is or the type of oil they use but the flavor is light and delicious. Even their homemade coleslaw tastes like they just made it - so fresh with a little tang - Mmm! We ended with a very unique lemon flan, even though we all said we couldn't eat another thing. Overall, portions are generous (we took home some left overs!), service staff were friendly and attentive, and the Owner & Head Chef, Elmer came out to check on us and tell us some of his culinary encounters with blue fin tuna. Fascinating! A most enjoyable meal and experience. If you've never been, What the heck are you waiting for!

They decided to serve one piece of fish that wasn't a full fillet or crumbles of fish or in like my case half a fish cut in half that was fried hole. and roll their eyes when someone told them what was going on, I decided against it cause I really don't want somebody rolling their eyes. That means they're gonna probably spit in my food. Next disgusting completely disgusting they should be ashamed of themselves. I counted not even 12 fries on that plate for 55 $55 for two fish and chips and a drink which is $25 per fish and chip. That was highway. Robbery. Don't bother to attend this business. They don't care about their consumers I went to their actual store and they were disgusting as well. I gave them two stars now I'm telling you not even that star is worth it the extra one I should say.
