Fish tacos and street corn
John B.

My go to place for fish tacos and street corn. The best I have found in the Nyack area.

Nash W.

Today I found myself walking around the waters edge in Nyack and by the time I was done I was starving for a good taco. After weighing my options I ended up at Taco Boys Mexican Grill. I ordered 4 Birria, 2 shrimp, 2 tilapia, 2 carnitas tacos and a large guacamole and chips to get me through the wait. The house made guac is superior along with the fresh chips! Great start. Then the tacos arrive. I went around the circle or samplings with various house made salsas and was literally blown away with how good everything was. Spot on! If you know me you know I can be fussy with Mexican and Pizza..... today now puts the local Mexican to rest. Taco Boys Mexican Grill is my go to in this area!! I'll definitely drive to 10 minutes from my house to for this quality!!

Low key obsessed with their street tacos. My BF had the chimichanga and said it was the best one he's ever had. You go here for the food and service is always good.

Great street food. Fast, tasty, friendly. And good value. Eat it or outside. Easy to get too on route 59

I really wanted to love this place. I ordered three tacos, one chicken, one steak and one carnitas. They were all dry as a bone, there was no sauce on any of them. If I was blind folded I would of thought I ate three of the same thing. Disappointing.

A catering order
Randi H.

I called Taco Boys a few weeks ago and asked about a small catering order for a bachelorette party we were throwing at a local hotel. Although they do not typically do catering or have a catering menu, I eventually was put in touch with Eliseo who said he could put something together for me. I came into the restaurant to try a sampling of items before I placed my order. I ordered some items off of the menu, but then Eliseo got to the restaurant while I was there and ended up bringing me some other items to try so I could really get a taste of everything. Everything was so delicious and each bite was better than the next. I ended up placing a catering order for 15 people, and I ordered a tray each of carnitas (pork), carne asada (steak), and pollo asado (chicken). We got all the toppings that are on the crispy tacos and we got hard shells and soft flour tortillas. The salsas, chipotle mayo, and guacamole are fantastic. Eliseo put together a spread BEYOND anything I could have imagined. He came up to the hotel room to help us set up, and we were absolutely blown away by the service we received and the quality of the food. We got so much food. Everyone ate their fair share for dinner and could not stop raving about how amazing everything was. We went out for a night of drinking, and I'm a bit embarrassed to say it, but the food was even amazing cold after our night out! We were all very happy to have the leftovers. Two days later, and I am still getting text messages about how mind-blowing the tacos were. The girls that live far can't wait to come back into town, and the girls that live close want to go and eat there soon! I cannot say enough about Taco Boys and Eliseo. Thank you so much for making the night memorable!

Just got some great takeout from Taco Boys! We had some awesome Chicken Nachos and there was enough to feed a family! (We over-ordered.) The Flautas were my favorite and came four to an order with Beans & Rice. We got a Chicken Taco and an Al Pastor Taco (both street tacos w/corn tortillas) that were pretty good. But the Cream Filled Churros were frickin' amazing!!! We also got Chips, Salsa & Guac (the guac was great), but we were stuffed before we remembered those. Highly recommend this place. They're almost brand new and still working some kinks out, but be patient and you'll be glad that you came. Oh, and they had lots of different flavors of Jarritos sodas!

This taqueria is our new favorite place for delicious tacos with friendly service. I love the relaxed, family atmosphere coupled with fresh, yummy food at a reasonable price. My friend loves the shrimp tacos, my husband loves the spicy pork street tacos, and my favorite are the fish tacos. We also dig the quesadillas and the guacamole. Honestly, what ever you pick is going to be delightful. I highly recommend the hibiscus tea which is as wonderful as I remember it in Mexico. The next time you're looking for something easy and awesome, check out Taco Boys Mexican Grill!

No frills, no flashy atmosphere -- just comida auténtica and seriously satisfying flavors. I ordered the carne asada nachos and an order of tacos al pastor, and both hit the spot perfectly. Fresh ingredients, bold flavor, and that classic street-style taco taste that instantly lifts your ánimo on a gloomy day. The nachos were loaded, cheesy, and packed with flavor, while the al pastor tacos were simple, fresh, and delicioso. And yes... we washed it all down with a Coke Zero in a glass bottle because somehow it siempre tastes better that way. Now, if you're looking for upbeat energy and polished service, este lugar probably isn't it. The staff seemed a bit inexperienced and lacked motivation. But where the service fell short, the kitchen absolutely delivered with authentic flavors and generous portions. Sometimes the best spots are the quiet little hole-in-the-wall places that let the food do all the talking.

The atmosphere gives off a trendy vibe, with a chef from Chopped behind the concept. It was pretty busy on a Saturday evening but tables were available indoor and outdoor. Reservations are probably a good idea if you come at a busy time. Similar to a tapas or dim sum place, you check off your order on a slip of paper. Really enjoyed the complex yet simple flavors of the shrimp dumplings (3) though they were very small bites, the fish taco (1), and the pork belly lettuce wrap plate. Each dish is paced out to you as they see you finish. The lobster taco was good but at $17, pricey, for its small size. Savor each dish because they will be gone before you know it. They charge a mandatory 4% kitchen fee, which I understand in theory but not in practicality for customers in these times. This evening there were a few Lantern flies spotted, one of which landed in my glass of water. Parking is easy and shared with a few other nearby businesses. They also have Taco Tuesdays to get discounted tacos. This is enticing because each taco is small and not filling in its own.

It's a great place to grab a quick bite while shopping at the plaza, or before/after catching a movie at Regal cinema which is in the same complex. Sombrero Tacoria applies the fast-casual ethos of chain takeout places with a proper dine-in component that's aesthetically pleasing. The interior is clean, cheerfully decorated, and pristine. In warmer weather, you can also eat on the chic and comfortable outside patio. The food is fresh and tastes good. The birria tacos, their signature item, is pretty awesome. And the child and I always enjoy their quesadilla. While I favor Chipotle's bowls more, this is a much nicer dining experience. The horchata and homemade lemonade are both great. Service is quick, and if you order in, they'll bring the food to your table. For takeout, there are also self order kiosks if you'd rather not order at the counter. Over the summer there was a live DJ on Friday evenings, bringing a festive atmosphere to the restaurant.

It's on the top floor (or the ground level if you're coming from an outdoor parking lot) and one of several mall eateries that aren't in the food court. The ordering decision tree proceeds as follows: 1) Decide whether you want tacos, cheesy tacos (called, quesatacos) or a platter, 2) Pick your proteins (vegetarian options available), and 3) Determine which toppings and accoutrements you want on top of your tacos. The best part of ordering was seeing the fresh masa and tortilla press right behind the counter, a reassurance that these tortillas would be as fresh as one can get. And they were. Not only that, the meats inside them were incredible. We tried the birria, carne asada, crispy fish, and smoked chicken, all of which were conversation-silencing delicious. I'm also not a bit embarrassed to admit I sipped straight from the small cup of that rich consommé that's meant as a dipping broth for the birria tacos. If I had to pick a least favorite from the bunch, it would be the smoked chicken, but that's not to say they were bad; the other ones just blew me away far more. The chicken tacos were packed with tender meat and redolent of smoked wood, a flavor I wouldn't have expected to encounter in the middle of a shopping mall. Most of the restaurant space seems to be reserved for the ordering and food prep area, but there's a decently sized seating area right outside the restaurant and even more places to sit a little further away from Carlito's if the tables are full.
