The place, the workers, and service there don't look like much. But the food is decent. At 2$ a taco, I can have a decently filling lunch for 8$ out the door. The waiter didn't speak english well. Didn't really bother me. Raised four fingers and said "Taco de Bistec, thanks". The guy brought me bottled water without really asking. Had to ask for a "CUP of water" and return the bottle. I wonder what that was about. So far, it's a slightly above average taco place. Sure beats taco bell by few country miles. I've only been here once but I would definitely come again. The tacos I had were delicious-chorizo and the bbq. The only problem I had was how small the tacos were. You are definitely going to want more than two. The green sauce had a little bit of a kick to it which I enjoyed. The sangria that I ordered was like grape juice almost; it was nonalcoholic and not what I expected. When I tried to explain to my waitress that I didn't really want the sangria, she just looked at me confused. I should spruce up on my Spanish. I was in the mood for tacos, really good authentic tacos. Since I was in the burbs visiting relatives, I was doubtful about finding authentic Mexican eats. I of course Yelped it and decided to check this place out. This part of town is working class ethnic so a lot of the establishments are authentic. Winner! Service was friendly, restaurant was clean, and the eaters were all of Latin descent (always a good sign). Most importantly, the tacos was muy bueno!! I ordered 2 tacos de pollo and 1 al pastor...Delicioso! The al pastor was full of flavor, fresh and tender, should've ordered 2! The chicken tacos were good too but having al pastor tacos for the first time really left an impression on me. I feel like this is the taco to judge all other al pastor tacos against. Don't let the size of the tacos ($2) fool you...they are packed with flavor and enough meat that you'll be willing to pay $5 for each. They also have tacos that adventurous foodies love to eat, like the head, tongue, tripe and yummy pork skin. All tacos are $2. I also ordered the guacamole ($6). It seemed like they must've used 2-3 avocados with for each order and came with homemade chips. It was made to order so again the freshness was apparently there.
