We didn't order any items that were larger portion and it's very easy to rack up the bill with $9-12 small bites. Inside, you could forget that you're in suburbia because this place is pretty trendy. There's artwork and words on the wall and the menu tries to be clever (succeeds in some ways but not necessarily to grammar snobs). There's a 3% surcharge for credit card purchases. The coconut garlic rice was very nice, but the duck while tasty, was battered and fried. All the dishes were good but all the dishes were heavily seasoned and a bit heavy. The meat and bell pepper mixture had a gravy with a little bit of a curry flavor. The best and worst part of the meal were the freshly made tortillas. They only gave two and they are on the small side... but were hot, freshly made, and absolutely delicious. When they noticed I'd finished those and still had over half of my food left they offered more, which I heartily accepted, and a minute or two later I was rewarded with another pair. After using up all four of my tortillas up I still had about 1/3 of my meat and rice which I mixed together with some of the beans and just polished off with a fork. Service was great, food tasted good, only suggestion would be to give more than two tortillas with the initial order. If I am back in Nanuet I'd eat here again.
