The service was friendly and genuinely welcoming. I had the Morning Bowl, and my partner ordered the Chef's Bowl. You can truly taste the difference when the ingredients are local -- whether roasted, shredded, or raw, everything was delicious! Easily the best veggies I've had in a while. The best part was there was no guilt -- both bowls were perfectly balanced. We also enjoyed a brewed tea, which we learned was made locally as well. This place has no frills when it comes to décor, which fits perfectly with the rustic nature of the food. If we're ever back in the area, we'll definitely go back to the wild radish.

If you're in the mood for a leisurely experience, indulgent meal, and like a worn (self described…read moreas "cozy" but also overall didn't feel very clean) environment, this spot is for you. A bit of an underwhelming experience though it got off to a good start. Online reservations said the wait was 80-95 minutes. But when we arrived, a reservation was canceled and we were seated right away outdoors. There appeared to be tables available outdoors and indoors so maybe they needed to control the flow for the kitchen staff. Food is "inspired by cafes in Tel Aviv" and is vegetarian and vegan focused. It was a bit pricey (eg., all included breakfast of two pancakes or French toast, eggs, small coffee and toast was $27) and there seemed to be a charge for many things but the overall quality and taste weren't bad. Mostly everything was around 18. The quiche had way more cheese and crust than egg, and the borekas could have had more filling. The shakshuka was very tasty and rich. The egg and cheese on a croissant had a lot of egg; the surcharge on the avocado was a lot compared to the few pieces of avocado you get. They also serve alcohol and the usual coffee and teas. Service was okay and slow, as was the speed of when we got our food and when our water was refilled. We overheard a few tables around us send back food that was burned or otherwise not up to their standards. There are two bathrooms, one of which is cramped. Street parking only and right next to the library.

The well-curated and balanced menu is focused on Spanish/Mediterranean dishes and tapas, all expertly prepared with quality ingredients. I genuinely loved everything. We ordered fried calamari misto (fantastic!), bacalao croquettes, polenta crostini, and Olar salad (simple but delicious) to start. For our mains, the paella Valenciana and mariscada salsa verde were profuse with fresh seafood - and the mussels and clams were delightfully fat and plump. The grilled skirt steak, which we requested medium rare, was perfectly cooked. Complimentary garlic herb crostini is brought to the table, and we were given fresh crusty-chewy rosemary focaccia bread brushed with olive oil as well. We were too stuffed to go for dessert but I think the offerings were a molten lava cake, vanilla panacotta, a cheesecake of some sort, and caramel flan. The owner was there and came around to greet everyone. They are currently doing a soft opening so there's no liquor license yet, and it's cash only right now, but everything seems so well run already. This is a true foodie destination, especially for Rockland. Highly recommended and a hearty 5 stars!

The pasta is made fresh daily and also sold by the pound for take home meals. I don't get the pleasure of dining in often because it's always packed when I visit but this time there was a lonely table waiting for me. The restaurant is small and intimate. Casual but perfect for a date night or solo dining. In the summertime they have picnic tables outside to dine at as well. The focaccia bread is made in house daily and is served warm with a drizzle of good olive oil and flakey salt. Don't ever skip out on the bread!! The cucumber salad was inspiring. The cucumbers were served on a bed of hazelnut fava bean hummus??? Excuse me? My mouth is still watering from looking at the photos. It was so fresh and tangy. The pasta dish was warm, filling and cozy. It settled in all the right places and makes you feel warm and fuzzy. The chocolate chip cookies are also a must!! I'm not sure if they use cake flour or something because the cookies are crunchy on the edges but think and chewy once warmed up. They are not skimping on the chocolate inside either! Overall my meal was perfect, I cannot wait to dine here again to taste the love and magic that goes into each dish. PS- the menu is mostly seasonal so try what you can before the menu changes!
