There is a multi billion dollar frozen food business in this country based on microwaveable meals. Microwave ovens have been in existence for decades. Apartments in Richmond have kitchens that include you guessed it a microwave oven. So when my spaghetti and meatballs came out cold the staff told me that they would have to make the dish over which means they threw my original order in the garbage. Every time a customer gets cold food it is thrown away and wasted. From my Steve When I wanted to take my food home because I couldn't finish it, I told the woman behind the counter I wanted to take it home but she didn't hear me and tossed my food in the trash. When I explained I had wanted to take my leftovers home she had a new order made for me. As far as the menu is concerned, they don't print the prices on the printed paper menu. Only on the menu on the wall behind the counter. As for food wasting, it's a shame. As this food doesn't need to be wasted in most cases. There are too many people who need the food. We noticed the portions of rice, chicken, and other toppings were smaller than usual. When we asked for just a little bit more, the staff member said it would be extra charge, and he meant it! We ended up paying way more than what I typically spend at other CAVA locations ($25 for two people). I'm not trying to be cheap, but it doesn't feel fair to serve such small portions and then charge extra when customers ask for a little more. I still love CAVA and the food is good but I might be limiting the amount of time I go there.

Space is intimate and low fuss. Our server was friendly and attentive. All in all winning vibes. We got the gyro bowl and one regular gyro, all with lamb and they were fantastic. The tzatziki is especially delicious. Portions are generous; I definitely got a box and plan to have it for lunch again tomorrow. Will definitely stop by here if I'm in the area again!
