I've seen this little salad shop for a couple of years now, but just decided to go in over the weekend. My first thought... "Why did I wait so long??" This is a great little salad and sandwich shop in N. Murfreesboro, right off Broad St., so it's not the absolute 'best' location for food retail, but it's worth seeking out! I had a spring mix with veggies, ham, chicken, egg, craisins, croutons, cukes, onions and shredded cheddar, and was amazed at how quickly it was put together and out to me. I regularly make 'chef salad' at my house for dinner because I can't find a decent salad anywhere, but Salads on Demand just busted that myth! For one fair price (not ultra cheap, but not over-the-top either), you get unlimited toppings and a plethora of choices in greens. There are no upcharges for number of toppings, but you may pay more for EXTRA helpings of toppings, if that makes sense. I only took one pic, because I was starving and ready to eat.. so this salad didn't last long. The atmosphere is positive, and I can tell there is alot of Christian love put into this business, something I appreciate and seek out, actually. Not so sure I'll go back. Very strange atmosphere & service. The place just seems dirty. Floors need a good cleaning. Several signs telling kids not to run on the counters and tables?? Was this such a problem they had to put signs out??? Yesterday they were blasting some preacher and loud religious music over the radio. It'd been ok if it wasn't so loud, or if the wait for them to make my salad wasn't so long. But after about 25 minutes waiting on just 1 salad, I'd had enough and just wanted to get out of there. There was only me and another customer in the building. The other customer was there before me, and looked as if he'd been there a while. I went to the order counter, and the lady asked me to wait while she was doing something else. I assumed she was finishing up the other customers order, but after about 5 minutes she came to me and the guy was still sitting there waiting. Long story short, it took her a painfully long time before she made the other guys salad, and then even longer until she finally made mine. They've been open long enough now to come up with a more efficient system for taking care of customers. The sad part was, there were 2 employees there and only 2 customers. The salad I got looked great, but after seeing how dirty and unorganized the place was, and how inefficiently it was run, I was a little nervous eating it. read more

I didn't take a picture of my food but the meal was good overall. The price of over 23 dollars for a fish sandwich fries and coleslaw too much. It was tasty... true! But the sandwich by itself with lettuce and tomato was like 16 dollars. The time took too long and the fish nor the fries were hot. All in all just too expensive for the volume of food read more

The salads are delicious and artfully made with farm fresh ingredients. I would have given them 5 stars, but I thought their prices were a bit too high and the wait time was too long (20-25 minutes. That being said, they are a young and still working on the menu and staffing. Our waitress was very nice and took time to chat with us. FINALLY, the perfect salad!! If it's not, it's pretty close in my book. I don't know about you, but I don't believe a knife should play a roll in eating salad. This place chops all their ingredients into bite-sized pieces. This not only makes for a perfectly forkable salad, it approaches a work of art. These salads are a looker! Super fresh. Ingredient ratios & portions are spot on. I was extremely full by the last few bites. The staff (owners?) were wonderful. They greeted me and walked me through the menu which was greatly appreciated. The decor inside and out could stand a bit more personality, but this place isn't about glitz and glam. You want a great salad? They got that! Do yourself a favor and grab a fruit tea, too. Highly recommend. One thing to note, you will NOT need extra dressing! I repeat, no extra dressings will be needed! I wanted to try a few different ones since it was my first trip so I ordered 3. Let's just say, I'm going to have to figure out how to incorporate them into every single one of my meals this week. That being said, they were all amazing. I have no regrets. They make all their dressings in house, so they've got a lot more structure and flavor. I would like to see smaller options for those of us who like multiple dressings (this might be an option that I missed). Oh, an option to make any salad into a wrap would be a welcomed addition. Updating because this is my 5th visit and I have ordered 30 minutes ahead of time every-time and still have to wait 30 minutes when I arrive because the salad has not been made. Good salads, but not so good when you order ahead and it still takes and hour. Suggest updating the online ordering to state accordingly. read more

The salad dressing is very good and so was the salad but it took an hour to get my salad. The people who ordered at the same time as me had theirs eaten and gone. I finally asked for a refund as I had waited almost an hour and they said it was almost done. Another 5 min later I got my salad. When reviewing these guys it is really difficult not to get past how overpriced the salad was. It was $17 and for the quantity should have been in the $11-13 range. On top of that it took almost 20 minutes to get my salad. The salad itself was fine. They give you a tub of dressing, way too much for the salad (and may be why they need to charge so much?). The restaurant itself smelled like fish when we walked in, an investment in better fam/exhaust is needed. They have the right idea when it comes to making salads, but unfortunately the wrong idea with customer service. I placed a fairly large order (5 salads) and was told it could take UP TO 40 min. My husband was there for over a hour, and we were told the website was down so we weren't alerted of the extended wait and we were charged for a duplicate order that they wouldn't refund. I was told I could come in for a free salad, but didn't get the chance to right away. I called about a month later to redeem and was told it was only good for 48 hours (yes, I still have receipts). Something similar happened to me, I requested cranberries and when they were not on the salad, the worker looked at my receipt and said well they are not on here. I said I know I asked for them, she proceeded to tell me to make sure I look at the screen the next time I come to make sure the order is right, she gave me the impression that it's all my fault if something is missing. Tried this place for the first time today based on FB reviews. It was really great! You can build your own salad however you want. Everything was really fresh and diced perfectly. Word of warning, the salads are HUGE(you can split) and dressings come in a large container. Ranch is 2.50 more. It's pricey but most all toppings are no extra cost.
