Ordered food to go from here for lunch the other day. Got some fresh spring rolls, pad thai and pork belly soup (cant remember the name). The food was fresh, hot and very good. The fresh spring rolls were good size but lacked taste and maybe that's because there was so much lettuce but still worth the price. My pork belly soup was really good and filling but it had a kick but in a good way. It complimented the pork belly well and the broth was very flavorful. My husband loved the pad thai and this will now be where he goes when he is in the mood for it. This place can get busy during certain times and has decent parking. A co-worker suggested I try Ladna 88. One Saturday during lunch I decided to stop by and dine in. I was greeted by an older man that allowed me to sit anywhere I wanted. The older gentleman reminded me of my grandfather because he said whatever came to his mind lol. Thank God I'm very easy going. I ordered the egg rolls and chicken satay as my appetizers. When I flagged him down to order my main entree, he looked at me and said that's a lot of food. In return, I told him he wasn't eating it and if I got full I'd take the remainder to go. I ordered the Pad Thai at a level 4. Of course the older gentleman questioned my spice level lol. I assured him I could handle it. Then when I did ask for a box, he stated I knew you couldn't eat all that food. He was truly a funny old man. He said let me get you some chopsticks because I'm sure you don't have any at home. Ladna 88 is a true gem and a Murfreesboro lao/thai staple. Their ladna is the best in middle Tennessee. It's always a must order. Ask anyone with a cultured palate and they will tell you the same thing. I also like their pad kee mao, chicken wings, larb chicken, fried rice, and papaya salad. Their sweet tea is also top tier. Instead of the traditional southern American sweet tea, it's more of a lemon lime infused sweet tea reminiscent of sweet tea that is offered in Thailand and Laos. read more

My favorite thing here is their ladna. I've tried a few things here before, and I have to say that I love their ladna the most. They've got the best in town. They use fresh noodles, which a lot of places don't do that. Their sauce is also very scrumptious. They have the perfect consistency for their gravy, and the flavor is also amazing. I definitely recommend trying their ladna. I also really like their ice coffee. Coffee definitely hits the spot. They have a pretty big parking lot so you don't have to worry about trying to find parking. You can pretty much just walk in here, and have a seat. The same owners that used to own the international market beside this current building. Really known for their Lad na, but wasn't in the mood for it that day. Clean and bright inside. Got sat down right away and was able to order drinks/food pretty quickly. Ordered a Thai tea and a Beef Pho. -The Thai tea was just okay for me. Needed more half and half or milk to make it more creamier imo. -The Beef pho was great. It's not Vietnamese pho, more of a Laos style pho. Tasty broth the way it came out! They have condiments to add to it if you like to spruce it up to your liking. I like mine sour, spicy and a little bit salty. I added some beef paste, limes, chili oil and sriracha. One of the better pho in Murfreesboro. Overall , I'll skip the Thai tea next time. Would definitely get the pho again. Will definitely try the lad na next time. read more

In town to visit mom for Lao New Year. Mom and little brother brought me and the hubs here for lunch. I ordered the ladnah (flat noodles in savory gravy with egg, broccoli, and your choice of protein) is the best I've ever had. Husband had the pad see ew , brother had the pho, mom straight ordered off menu. We all left happier and fatter. Still cash only, but the restaurant is spacious and clean. The best Lad Na in town has returned (for now as a soft opening) and in a new building next to their old one. We also tried their pad sa ew and lo mein, which were both as delicious as their signature dish. All three had that wok-charred/smoky flavor to their noodles. Quick service with most dishes taking an average of 7 minutes to cook (the owner had mentioned that tidbit to me). Spacious dining room with booths and tables. Currently cash only and must order in person until they can get their phone and internet service set up (sometime around May 15). Hours are 11am - 7:45pm with a limited menu and plans to offer more soon. Unfortunately I forgot to ask if they were open every day but glad they're back so we can enjoy their yummy food. read more

Initially I noticed that the dish lacked the rich sauciness that I'm used to, however, there was what looked like water at the bottom of the to-go bowl.
