All the baked goods!

Bánh Appetit has officially become one of my favorite spots in town. Their pho is incredible rich, flavorful broth with fresh ingredients that taste like comfort in a bowl. I also tried their cà phê sữa đá, and wow... perfectly strong, sweet, and smooth. And don't even get me started on the almond croissant light, flaky, and absolutely addictive. Everything I ordered was top-notch, and the service was just as great. If you're anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and stop by Bánh Appetit!

Grilled shrimp pho

I came up on Banh Appetit quite by accident on Saturday after Thanksgiving because another place down the road that we originally wanted to go to was closed. I was craving some pho, so it worked out perfectly! Their broth is delicious, and a bit different from traditional pho, I think, but I couldn't put my finger on what was different. I got the shrimp pho, and did they load it up with perfectly grilled shrimps! My husband got the vermicelli bowl and he adored the egg rolls that came with it! The dish was quite flavorful and filling. We also got some drinks - an oolong milk tea with peach jellies (love!) and a creme brulee brown sugar with boba! The only con we could think of was the slightly expensive pricing, but the amount and flavor of the food made up for it (I was starving, lol).

Came back to try it again. It was tough when they first opened but it's definitely worth a trip back. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. Their milk tea and fruit teas are awesome! My husband is not easily impressed but he had to get a second one to go. The service was great. Our server was quite helpful with making our selections. It's true cafe vibe. Calm and inviting. It's definitely a place you can just go and chill.

I'm always on the hunt for a good boba place, this place is not it (to an extent). Their tapioca pearls are very good and cooked to perfection! No other boba shop has chewy boba like here. They only offer black tea for the fruit teas. I tried a peach strawberry and a passion lychee. Non of the drinks tasted like their description. It was not flavorful at all. I'm not even sure about their black tea. Must have been old, there was no flavor or any aromas to the tea at all. The two fruit teas I tried were very disappointing. I also tried the brown sugar creme brûlée, nothing fantastic about that. Just milk, and brown sugar with boba and creme brûlée topping. I also tried two types of Vietnamese coffee. Creme brûlée and egg. The coffees were good and strong, definitely 100% authentic Vietnamese coffee but the toppings were not noticeable. It wasn't busy when we came in, the service was fine. The restaurant itself was very clean. There's a lot of little knickknacks around the counter and shelves all over for sale. We will have to try the food next time.

Orange Tea & Masala Chai Tea

Fabulous service! All of my many questions were answered and samples of sauces and teas were available and given with a smile. It was my first time eating Vietnamese food and it did not disappoint. The dumplings were amazing and so was the beef vermicelli bowl with Hong Kong sauce. I will definitely be back and often!

Banh mi combo was just ok.

I was pretty excited for them open here. The place was so nice and clean. I liked the set up and decor. I thought it was a really cute shop. The customer service was also pretty good. The girl that took our order was very friendly. I tried their soy bean drink and Vietnamese coffee. They were both pretty good. The coffee is very strong. I only had a few sips and it kept me up for a few hours lol. I also tried their eye round steak and meatball pho. The broth wasn't bad at all. They ran out of basil on the evening that I came, but the pho still wasn't bad. In all. I didn't have a bad experience and will be back to try other items!

I brunched at Banh Appetít on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 11 am. Very excited a Vietnamese establishment has opened in the 'Boro, especially one that offers a variety of signature Vietnamese dishes like pho, banh mi, and goi cuon. When I came, it was not busy as if it just opened because the pastry display case still looked sparse after being open for almost 3 hours. The inside looked clean as we were one of the first customers of the day. The grilled pork spring roll was quite delicious with good flavor on the pork. However, the rolls could be more consistent in size since it looked kinda strange with one roll being noticeably larger than the other. The bbq pork banh mi was really good - probably one of the best I've had in the Nashville area. The sandwich was full and had every component that an authentic banh mi should have. The bread was also not too doughy. The pho was average. It was a small portion given the price. The plate of bean sprouts and basil was embarrassingly small even for the small bowl of pho. The well done brisket tasted old as it had a slight unpleasant aftertaste. Service was good. The girl who took the order was very nice and greeted us upon entering the door. The food took a little while to come out given how slow it was. So I'd expect wait times to be longer during peak hours. Overall, I was generally pleased. From the price-point, it was a little expensive, but fair considering it is the only Vietnamese eatery in this area. There were some minor needed improvements in the pho, but all the other stuff that I ordered was pretty good. I'd definitely return whenever I'm feeling for something Vietnamese in Murfreesboro.

Vietnamese iced coffee?! Are you kidding me? Half way through?

The cashier wasn't friendly and the portions are so small are you kidding me? For the price is not worth the price!

Wonderful service, really tasty food and a nice place to grab a quick lunch. My friend and I were out and wanted a place for lunch that we had not been to before. On a whim she Googled Food Near Us and this cute restaurant popped up. My friend ordered an appetizer of Grilled Shrimp Spring Rolls with Peanut Sauce, her entrée was the Grilled Chicken & Egg Rolls Vermicelli Bowl with Hong Kong Sauce and a Honeydew Fruit Tea. I ordered an appetizer of Crab Rangoon Rolls with the sweet and sour dipping sauce. My entree was the Grilled Chicken & Egg Rolls with Thai Sauce, and a Peach Fruit Tea. The portions were perfect, the taste of food was really good. They offer desserts and we wish we had saved room for it. We will definitely be back. Do yourself a favor and try this place.

Ice

Asked for light Ice got a full cup of ice had like 5-6 sips and it was gone. There was more ice in it but when I decided to make this review some of it melted but trust this was a full cup to the top with ice

Grilled Beef Vermicelli Bowl

This was our first time trying this place and wow it was amazing! I have been hearing so many great things about the food and I was finally able to give them a try. Literally have never tried the vermicelli bowl at any other Vietnamese restaurant but I'm so glad I did and now it will be my go to meal here. The really nice girl working let me try two sauces before ordering and she told me she normally mixes them together and those were great. I ordered the grilled beef vermicelli bowl with I think the Thai sauce and the Hong Kong sauce. My boyfriend ordered the beef pho. Both were delicious. Egg rolls came with mine and they were delicious and we ordered the fried dumplings also delicious. This place is definitely going to be on my top Asian restaurants of Murfreesboro to go to. I can't wait to go back so I can try their cookies because those looked so yummy too.

Baked Items Selection; tried their Honeycomb cake.

The plaza the restaurant was in was on the nicer side compared to regular strip malls, so we hoped for some good warm rice noodle soup. The place only had a few people in there, but given the fact it was a rainy day, that was expected. We were seated pretty quickly and our server got our drink orders. I had the mango milk tea with sago, and my partner had the taro mild tea with sago. I'm not sure why it happens to her drink orders, but every so often, they will have boba balls in her drinks when she didn't want them; this place was no exception. We are sad to report the flavor of these teas are quite bland. You will only get a hint of the flavor you ordered. We both ordered the golden hot and sour rice noodle soup, a side of sausage skewers, and a side of shrimp rice noodle rolls. The soup was a big disappointment. The flavor was ok at best, but all the textures were off, and the rice noodles appear to be a bit soggy when it was brought out. Neither of us finished our soups with close to half of each of our bowls left. The shrimp rice noodle rolls were a surprise. Normally, they are full shrimps inside the rolls, but at this location it was made with cooked shrimp paste. The taste was ok, but again, odd texture. The sausage skewers were a sad joke: they were two longer beef hot dogs that were fried up and served with ketchup... I am not kidding you. I didn't know what to say. We had a long drive ahead of us, so we did a double order of the popcorn chicken to go when we placed our initial order. The flavor was ok, but it had no crisp at all. At least there was some fried basil in the flavor profile. We are sad to say, we did not enjoy our visit here. I'm not sure how it has a 4.3 rating, or if being from LA has spoiled us and gave us too high of expectations for these kinds of foods.

Everything is made to order and they seem to have a small staff, so please be patient with the workers! It can sometimes take a bit of time to order and get your food. If you need to move quickly, definitely call ahead! Service and ambiance is very no-frills - they will make your food (very well), but most of the rest is up to you. This may not be the place for folks who love to be waited on! Some things to know: PARKING & ACCESS - Cup Pop is behind a gas station and a smoothie king (as of 11/2023). If you're confused, then you're probably in the right place! The parking lot is small, but there's plenty of parking for the businesses that are there. The restaurant is well-marked, and there's only one entrance. INTERIOR - Cup Pop is a small restaurant, but nothing about it feels cramped. The interior is very simple and functional, but in a way that feels quaint. ORDERING - Order at the counter that is straight back when you walk into the restaurant. It's a bit of a DIY experience - get your own drink out of the upright cooler, and pick up your food from the counter when its ready. When you're done, clear your own table into the trash cans. SEATING - You will sit wherever you like in the restaurant - there are a small number of tables and chairs that could be moved together for a larger group if they aren't busy, but please check with the staff first and be sure to move them back when you're done! I believe there is also a bench to sit on if you are waiting on a to go order. RESTROOMS - A one-person restroom is down the long hallway to the right of the front counter. It is no-frills, but has always been clean! DRINK SUPPLY - When I was there last, there was a limited supply of drinks. They normally have Milkis and a couple other Korean drinks and then a small supply of Coke products. They didn't have the drink I wanted last time I was there, but I just ran to the supermarket across the parking lot and grabbed one while I waited for my food to be ready - it was no problem!
