Overall, good experience. I ordered the Mongolian beef munch special with hot and sour soup with fried rice, a wonton soup and an order of refresh rolls. First time having hot and sour soup and it was pretty good. The Mongolian beef and fried rice was on point. The fresh rolls are pretty good, but something was off about the peanut sauce. The wonton soup today was lacking. It was very bland. Service was friendly with a very relaxing ambience as always. I will still come back, I hope they step up their game. read more

This restaurant is under new ownership. I've been coming here for years, even with the previous owners. The new owner kept the same great food that the previous owner has, and also added more to the menu. They added some Lao dishes so I'm so excited to have that! One of my favorite things here was always their egg drop soup. I always used to come for lunch just for their egg drop soup. I'm glad that they still have that. Today, I went and tried their Lao dishes. I had the papaya salad, chicken wings, and sticky rice. It was good. I also had their Triple Thai deluxe (lunch special that comes with soup) and it was delicious. I can't wait to try more of their authentic lao dishes. Glad they added it on their menu. read more

This place has some amazing pad Thai! I was told to try out this spot while in the area and I was pleasantly surprised. There is plenty of parking and a drive thru if you are in a hurry and want to eat at home. The restaurant is super clean and has a nice low key vibe. This is a favorite lunch spot for me and I visit it about once per week. This is going to be a short review because I simply like going there. I've tried several lunch specials and the price is good, they are flavorful and are not huge portions. The staff knows me and serve me quickly and efficiently. Lunch comes with a choice of soup or egg roll and I usually get the soup. It is just enough, although sometimes it can be saltier than others. I can get in and out of there with commute time from my lunch hour at work. I like a table with a view of the traffic. It is clean, bright and airy. It is a former fast food place but is nice and open. Everyone is very nice. This is shorter than my usual reviews and I see no point in mentioning every dish I've sampled. They are all good. My only minor issue was that one time I ordered something off the dinner menu and, of course, it took a bit longer. My bad. Go there. It is good food at a good price and beats any fast food joint for the money. read more

I hadn't had Pad Thai for a long while so was looking forward to trying this place. I was rather disappointed. Good pad Thai has a wonderfully nuanced blend of different flavors with seasonings and a light peanut butter taste in a mildly sweet base. The dish I was served here was covered in a very heavy, overly sweet sauce which reminded me of that which coats the orange chicken at your standard Chinese restaurant. Instead of peanut butter in the sauce there was a small cup of minced peanuts on the side. The noodles were overpowered by the sauce. My daughter had a bowl of Pho and found it rather blah, no sides of vegetables or other options to add as desired, and like the pad Thai, the ingredients seemed to be a minimal selection of noodles, bean sprouts, scallions and the requested meat choice. I will say that the place was busy so obviously plenty of people enjoy what they have to offer. But next time we're craving Thai it's back to a restaurant we know has the good stuff. read more

Ordered Pad Thai with chicken and Pad See Eww with tofu for takeout last night and was extremely pleased with how fast the service was. Our food was ready in 10 minutes and they had a very convenient drive through window for pick up orders. When we arrived home our food was still nice and hot! I wish the pad thai had a little more flavor and both dishes were a bit dry. The tofu was cooked perfectly (nice and crispy on the outside but not too dry inside) and the fried spring rolls were delicious. Overall a great and easy meal! read more

I was craving some beef salad (Nam Tok) but they were out of it so I settled for the larb. Big mistake! What I had was definitely different. Not the typically larb every Lao/Thai restaurant serves. I'm not sure what it was. It was very mushy and barely had flavor. Very bland. I definitely will not be ordering their larb or any type or larb here if it taste like what I had. On the brighter side, we also ordered the Thai wings which were super good! So this is definitely something we will be back for. My family and I have eaten here many times the past 7 years and have never had a bad meal. I came here tonight and the food again was exceptional. Service was excellent, place is super clean (scored 99) and the family who owns this place is an exceptional family. Tonight I saw a husband and wife who were totally disrespectful to the owners. The wife complained about her food, loud enough that the whole place could hear her complaining. At the end of their meal she said she wasn't paying for her meal or anything. Low life people really make me mad. Trying to scam a great place to get out of paying for a meal. When she left she said very loudly she would never be back so everyone could hear. Good riddance. This place is exceptional. Everyone who was left in the place told the owners what an exceptional place they run before they left. read more

ordered the tom yum soup, the yum nua steak salad and pad thai and they were ALL the worst I've ever had. the soup had no essence of lemongrass at all, no kaffir lime leaf flavor, no onion or galangal root and no tang of fish sauce. Tasted like lime juice water garnished with straw mushrooms and severely over cooked shrimp. The salad had romaine in it? No iceberg? Instead of steak it had shaved top round. Again maybe they were out of fish sauce as there was no flavor i=of it in the dressing or palm sugar and barely any heat( no thai chilis) Bland. Then the pad thai was flavorless and old tiny pieces of dried out chicken and barely discernably bean sprouts. no background flavor or tamarind or fish sauce or dried shrimp or daikon radish. My parents come here religiously, like they do for their church. Church is every Sunday morning and Taste of Thai every Saturday afternoon. When my husband and I fly down to Nashville, it's our go-to as soon as we get to Murfreesboro, which of course, my parents are always happy to oblige because then it's 2 visits of Taste of Thai for them in one week! The staff here is excellent! The owner is here, in and out of the kitchen, going from table to table, greeting her customers. And from the looks of it (at least every time I'm here) she has a lot of regular, loyal customers who, like my parents, come here religiously. That being said, my parents have made friends with another couple who they see here every Saturday afternoon. Food here is excellent as well. I try to vary my orders, but of late, I've been ordering the Pho Beef (which is also my mom's favorite). It's perfect for the winter months and they don't skimp on the beef balls. I have also ordered their Seafood Pan Fried Noodles. When this dish first came out of the kitchen, my dad was like, "You're going to eat crunchy noodles for lunch?", and I said, "Yeah...I had no idea it was going to be this crunchy. Hmm, I think I'm supposed to mix it all together with the sauce. I think." So I did, and voila! What a great tasting dish. The noodles softened to an al dente texture, the vegetables were fresh, and the seafood was abundance! No shortage of the good stuff there. And my dad has become a fan of this dish now. Also on my dad's likes: Beef Lo Mein and Mongolian Beef. He loves beef and he said the beef in these 2 dishes are really nice and tender, and seasoned very well. Every couple of weeks, he gets into his healthy mode and he'll order Mixed Vegetables with tofu. My husband who is a creature of habit, always orders Shrimp Pad Thai whenever he sees it on any menu of ANY restaurant. He said the taste is pretty legit here. So there you go. And if you happen to see my parents (they are this cute elderly Asian couple you'll find on any given Saturday late afternoon), stop by their table and say hi to them. I am a regular here and I love it. Before covid happened, I was going down the menu trying to taste everything they had to offer. To get right to it, my favorites so far are Mongolian beef, general tso chicken, Pad see ew, and pa nang curry. I get all of these with white rice and a spring roll. One insiders tip is adding a spice level. I normally get mine a 3. It adds a nice kick without making it unbearable to eat. Also, I would recommend getting the lunch or dinner specials because they come with a spring roll and soup. I normally get two spring rolls because I'm not a big fan of the soups. Please get a Thai tea here. I honestly crave their Thai tea. It is so good and pairs perfectly with a spicy dish. Lastly, the family that runs this business is amazing. They are some of the kindest and most hard working people I know. If you come around more than once, they will try to get to know you! Crappy food takes a toll on your body so it's important to take some extra time to find places that cater to this type of diet. Nothing special on the outside but Taste of Thai is clearly a family owned place that does just that. The oldest daughter waited on me and was both charming and helpful. I had the Pad Thai with vegetables and it was incredible. Everything was as fresh as can be. I love Super Hot and I was happily accommodated with Thai Peppers on the side. This was my first time trying this Thai restaurant. I was SO GLAD that I did! I ordered the Sesame Chicken, Pad Thai, and Fried Spring Rolls. The flavors were all AMAZING! And the ingredients were all very fresh and high quality. The sesame sauce is probably one of the best sesame sauces that I've ever tried in my whole life... and the chicken was a good quality white meat.
