This place is just around the corner from the apartment my daughter moved into. So we visited for lunch on move in day. And boy was it great the food was out of this world. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean and quiet. This is some of the best Thai food around. Best in the area for sure. I've had Thai food all over the world and this stacks up to the best. We have now been 4 times in a little over 2 weeks and everytime it gets better. Green, red and yellow curry's are awesome. The Tom Yum and Tom Kahn are fabulous. The basil fried rice is a must get. Also had friends get the sausage fried rice and the wings and they loved them. Make sure you visit this place if you anywhere near Murfreesboro. You won't regret it. read more

Had lunch at Thai Spice. Service overall was friendly and timely. Small restaurant with a low-key ambience. We had wonton soup, chicken, skewers, and fresh spring rolls. The wonton soup was very tasty. Among the best I've ever had. The fresh spring rolls were delicious. They had two proteins, pork and shrimp & definitely a hit. The chicken skewers on the flip-side were a little bit dry. And honestly kind of small, especially for the price. Food overall genuinely good. But the prices are a little high compared to other Thai restaurants. read more

Some of the best pad Thai that we have ever had. Fast, friendly service in a quiet and very clean environment. My new favorite Thai place. They have takeout and delivery, too. If you love Thai food as much as we do, you have got to try this place. 10 stars! read more

Thai Spice, I'll cut to the chase, one of the best pad thais in Murfreesboro! I have nothing bad to say about it. The only other menu itek I got was the crab Rangoon, which were an odd piece. They had a good taste, but their outer crust was too thick in my opinion, I'd rather a lighter crust but the taste was fine. Took a little bit for us to receive our food but nothing too crazy. Overall, a solid spot for pad thai, but I gotta branch out on their menu to get the full experience read more

Excellent Thai food and impressively fast service. Dishes arrived quickly, hot, and clearly prepared fresh. Flavors were bold and well balanced, with rich aromatics and authentic spice. Curry was deep and fragrant, noodles perfectly cooked, and ingredients tasted fresh rather than pre-prepared. Kitchen efficiency stood out. Despite quick preparation, quality was not sacrificed. Every dish was flavorful and well executed. A strong choice for anyone wanting authentic Thai flavors without a long wait. read more

Always glad to learn about new Thai restaurants as it's my favorite food so you will see tons of reviews about Thai. I normally get fried rice with chicken when I start just to get an idea of flavorful and spice. I would return and try new items. Service was good. This was a carry out order but I am always open to dining to get that experience as well. read more

Delicious food. Clean and friendly. We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. Very tasty. Our new favorite Thai food in the area! read more

Thai Spice - Fried rice with sausage and delicious mango boba tea - Thai Near Me - Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Thai Spice is a decent Thai Restaurant with a nice menu. I have eaten here once before and enjoyed most of what I had ordered. Today I had the wonton soup and the Chicken Satay. I loved the soup, I just felt cheated because though the flavor was good. It only had two wonton (1 and 1/2 really) in the entire bowl. I wanted like 6 and would have paid for them. Just left me feeling a little ripped off. The chicken Satay was good too. I enjoyed the peanut sauce, just wish there was some curry in it to kick it up a notch. But overall, it was a solid 3 1/2 - 4 star experience. If they had done the right thing with the wontons, then 4-4 1/2 stars. read more

My daughter loves the blended bubble tea! She craves it often! Service was good and fast! The pad ke mow and the Pad Thai were very good! Enjoyed the friendly staff and atmosphere. I have seen other posts about the "spice level" being too spicy however it's right where it should be for Thai food. I kind of laughed at some of the reviews because the name of the restaurant is in fact "Thai Spice" read more

Thai Spice - Pad ke mow - Thai Near Me - Murfreesboro, Tennessee

AMAZING FOOD, and great kind service, not your average strip mall Thai place. I've never gotten anything here that wasn't perfect and delicious, and almost every item has an adjustable level of spice, however that level is not standardized across all cooks. read more

Amazing food and service again and again! Come eat see for your self! The pad Thai is another on their menu items to try. You can never go wrong with the chicken curry lunch plate. read more

My husband stopped here to get me some Massaman curry. Haven't had it in a long time and never had it from this restaurant. A warning to everyone who goes here... Their spice level is ridiculous. I got a spice level of two and it was far too hot for me. I did eat it, and the flavor of the curry was delicious, but ridiculous spice level for a two. My husband got a soup at level three and could barely get through it. Also, the potatoes in the Massaman curry were not cooked all the way. read more

I have ordered panang from Thai Spice about 12 times but today will be the last. The food is ok but the spice level is unpredictable. I typically order 2 or 3 at other Thai restaurants but here I order a 1 and it is either not hot at all or incredibly hot. I never know what I will get. Tonight I have finally decided not to take the chance anymore and will drive farther away to get a meal I can eat. My panang was very spicy tonight - I almost couldn't not eat it, and it is kind of expensive to throw away. When I opened the container when I got home, it was screaming red... it should not be. I did not enjoy the meal that I drove 9 miles into to town to pick up and it is the last time. read more

Since moving to Murfreesboro in January 2020 I noticed a great diversity of ethnic foods which excited me. I like Thai but my spouse does not. I was on my own for dinner this evening so I thought what a great opportunity to try a Thai place. Thai Spice was near where I was shopping so I decided to give it a try. I glanced over the reviews and saw some loved it and some not so much. As always I approached this business open minded hoping to be impressed. I only had the choice of take out due to Covid 19 which I would have done anyway. I didn't see drunken noodle on the menu which is my go to so I ordered the closest thing I could find Pad Kee Mao. The young man told me he would bring it to my vehicle so I went out and waited. I like Thai food for the same reason I like Indian food. It's full of flavors and colors. It's pleasing to of smell and sight as well as taste. When I got home opened the bag with no utensils or napkins. No worries I have those. I did not worry about asking for sauces or spices because good Thai or Indian shouldn't need them in my opinion. However I should have. The meal had the sight sense with color but lacked in smell as I did not smell onion and basil which is important. Now most importantly taste. I was disappointed as it was bland. The main flavor was heat and saltiness. The heat was not as hot as I've ordered from other establishments. They have heat levels of 1-5 and I ordered 5 and told them prepare it like you would eat it. Even very spicy Thai should be robust with other flavors but sadly they were missing. Will I give it another try? Probably not. But don't let me dissuade you from trying. Like some others this could be your favorite place. read more

Thai Spice - Pad Kee Mao - Thai Near Me - Murfreesboro, Tennessee

I have had a lot of their dishes over the years and they are all good. My disappointment is in the inconsistent food and getting half portions for togo orders but charged the same. With it being about $16-18 a plate I should get every bit the same amount as when I dine in. We are going to be taking a break from Thai Spice. Hopefully this isn't a permanent decision. read more

I think it is the best Thai restaurant in Murfreesboro, which is saying a lot, cause there a lot of good Thai/Laos places in town. I prefer Thai Spice over the rest because they use less sugar in their dishes. It is very savory. Pad Kee Mao is my favorite and I love the way they cook tofu. Red Curry, Pad Kra Prao, Spicy Chili Cashew Nut, Pad Nam Prik Pao are also all very delicious dishes. read more

Let me start off by saying BEST LAO/THAI FOOD IN MURFREESBORO !!!! I cannot stress that enough !! I have gone to multiple places here trying to find the best restaurant in town, and I finally found my absoulte favorite place to dine in! They have dishes that are actually flavorful and you get a large portion of it as well. Thinking about their food is making me so hungry! You have to try their pad thai! It is delicious and even my husband agree that the pad thai was great, and he's not even a big fan of pad thai. The only dish that fell short for me was their papaya salad.. I didn't care too much for it, since it did not taste that great to me. One main reason why I had rate it 4 stars instead of 5 was the fact that they were understaffed. There was only one waitress/host. And the wait time to get our food was longer than most places I have gone to. (At the end I didn't mind, because the food was sooo worth the wait.) If they could fix these minor kinks and bring out the food in a more timely manner, and have the servers come check up on you here and there, this place would deserve a 5 star rating! Before we left, the chef gave us free coconut bakery desserts! They were delicious! (Note: Their food is a little more pricey compared to other thai/lao restaurants, but it is so worth it! I don't mind paying more for quality dishes!) read more

Nice little place and I really enjoyed the food. I'm going to comment on the food, atmosphere and staff. I have driven past this place many times. Mostly, those times were not meal times. I've been curious. It is not in my neighborhood, so I never planned a special trip there. Now, maybe I will. For dinner, I ordered the BBQ pork with wanton noodle soup. I loved it! All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The pork was great. Most important of all is that the soup broth was not salty. Because I am diabetic, I rarely order the Thai Tea. I may come back here for theirs because it is not too sweet. They avoided Southern Thai Tea. Light and airy, the place almost has a fast food joint feel. Do not let that affect your choice. Tables are Spartan. There are nice wall decorations, especially the restroom sign. It has male, female, and an alien figure on it. When family travels to Thailand, they bring back decorations. Staff was very attentive. Of course, because she was the daughter of the owner. She implored me to come back. I'd like to and may. Very friendly ladies bringing me my food. MTSU students need to make this place on their list of frequent eats near campus. A great treasure. read more

We decided to give this place another try last night because we wanted take out and it is the closest thai food near us. Our first visit wasn't bad, but I really didn't like their curry and wouldn't order it again. On our second visit, I ordered the pad thai with tofu, my husband ordered the general tso tofu again, and we each got a veggie spring roll. I really liked the pad thai! Next time I will probably order it without abundance of onions but the flavor was good and the portion was decent. I do wish the tofu was cut into larger pieces. The general tso tofu was so good in my opinion. My husband thought it was too sweet and donut-like. After a few bites, I had to agree with him. The breading tasted just like a Chinese donut without the sugar exterior. I wasn't complaining! However, it really may have been too sweet to eat an entire entree of. He didn't finish his (we switched plates at the end). The veggie spring roll and dipping sauce were as good as they were on our first visit. We will definitely eat here again when we want convenience and good food but hubs said he would order something different next time. read more

This food is terrible. I get it, it's In Murfreesboro, but you would think the food would be somewhat decent. The "Thai" owner didn't know what a traditional Thai dish was when I wife ordered off the menu. The food was not spicy. The pineapple fried rice was disgusting. Tom Ka was from a can or something. Let down in every way. read more

Went here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, got here around 12:30. No one else in the restaurant, nice and quiet. I am not very familiar with Thai food and this was my first time here. I order chicken pad kee mao, they do ask how much spice I want from 1-4. I asked for 3, being pretty fond of spicy food. The other 4 people with me order a variety of things as well as drinks. First of all while we are waiting on the food I finish my drink. No refill is offered (it is stated on the menu refills are free for my drink). My drink was never refilled the rest of the time there, huge no no for me. Food gets there... Intermittently. One person's here, one person's there. Somewhat understandable in a small kitchen but also annoying. The pad kee mao was AMAZING. Great taste, texture, the level three of spice was perfect for me. No complaints for the food. I will hesitate to return based on the service though, which was very disappointing. read more

Food: 4 Stars Service/Ambiance: 2 stars This place has good food. It's really convenient to campus (next to textbook brokers on Rutherford). We went there around 1 PM on a weekday and there weren't a lot of people in there. Probably 6-7 people came and got take out. I think next time I get food from here I'll get take out. The food itself was pretty good. I got chicken pad thai (my go to) and there was a pretty generous serving. I left stuffed. Their lunch special is 7.99 for the dish and a spring roll. The service was off. There was one person, and she was all over the place. When I asked for no eggs or bean sprouts in my dish, her response was said in a very annoyed toned. She also took our drink orders from across the room. Overall, the food is good quality and I'll defiantly get take out, but the environment was mediocre. read more

My favorite restaurant in Murfreesboro. Lots of vegan options. Tofu green curry is my go to choice, and is always delicious.

My favorite Thai restaurant ever! The family who owns it is also very sweet and hard-working. They're very involved with the community.

The food is incredible. The service is wonderful. Staff is very kind. 4/5 stars because there's no music, which wouldn't be a big deal but the food is very spicy, and when people eat spicy food their noses start to run, and when there's no music playing you can become super conscious of how many sniffly people are sitting around you. That's my only complaint though. If you like Thai, this place is great. read more

Best Thai food in the boro! Haven't had anything bad from there, and the employees are always extremely kind.

Unassuming little place in a strip center near MTSU. Excellent Tom Yum soup (with shrimp), their summer rolls were tasty and healthful. I had the Crying Tiger beef dish, like Thai fajitas. Our party also pla sam rod with a whole red snapper. This was the "killer" dish, and was fantastic. read more

Ordered online and in restaurant many times and haven't been disappointed. Food is so good and employees are friendly!

A nice family owned restaurant and atmosphere. I've tried the core of the Thai dishes here, and for the quality, its way too overpriced. The thai portion of the food is very very average, but the price makes me frown. Nothing special. read more
