Decided to dine in this time. Food here is always great. Service is fast and friendly with a casual atmosphere. I ordered the hibachi steak and chicken with vegetables. Super tasty. My son had the orange chicken. He said it was delicious. We also ordered the sesame chicken. It was very good as were the egg rolls. Overall we were very pleased. Ultimately, they have a great menu selection at a comparable prices to similar establishments. They are definitely one of the better Chinese restaurants in the area. read more

No 1 Chinese Restaurant - Menu - Chinese Near Me - Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Restaurant looked slow when I drove up so never a good sign. I left a tip in hopes my food would be Correct and make properly. Upon returning home food tasted greasy, hard and not fresh. It's sad since it's not far off the highway on the way home but will not be returning. read more

Pretty good. I was in town and searched for a Chinese restaurant. I found this place and decided to stop. The staff member was friendly upon my entry. They answered my questions and were very receptive. I was craving egg foo yung. I ordered the chicken egg foo yung. The order was made fresh to order. They have clean adequate interior seating on a cold night. I loved the self serve station for sauces etc. The food was good, the gravy was a bit different to my usual. It was a clear and viscous gravy. All in all, I enjoyed my meal. The seating area is spacious and inviting. read more

Food wasn't what I ordered. Called three times to place the order. They cannot comprehend plain English nor can you understand anything they say. Just a bunch a fast blubber. I will drive 3 miles further to get a meal. Absolute rudest person at the order desk. Mad at me so she started helping other people in line. I left and I will never return to a second rate restaurant again. read more

Ordered food and I'm at a hotel. It comes with no fork smh why couldn't they just put a fork . Also no soy sauce just duck sauce

I walked in to place a Togo order and ordered the C16, which was the shrimp Lo Mein combo, that the business website says comes with pork fried rice and an egg roll. I checked the order and saw the 1 shrimp on top and just assumed there was more under the Lo Mein noodles, but instead was disappointed. My shrimp Lo Mein order only had only 1 shrimp in the whole container and no pork in the fried rice. I called to notify them and the lady working the front counter said she packed the order and said she saw a shrimp on top of the Lo Mein and then said the combo only comes with regular fried rice. I again explained to her that there was only 1 shrimp for the entire order and gave her the order number, but she continued to state that there was more than 1 shrimp in the order. I asked the lady do they only put 1 shrimp in an order of shrimp Lo Mein and she would not respond. I will say the Lo Mein had good flavor, minus the shrimp, and the fried rice and egg roll were decent, and at not overly salty. I told the lady employee that this was the first time I have ordered at this restaurant and the last time, and she said ok. I would not recommend this restaurant if they are unable to make their dishes as stated on their menu and as ordered. It is sad that she would rather argue with me over the phone instead of providing good customer service and offering to remake a $10.00 order. It is sad that this is how this restaurant runs their business and treats their customers. read more

The food is not really that good. I should have known better. A Chinese restaurant needs Chinese people working there. All I saw was Mexican people. Likewise, a Mexican restaurant should have only Mexican people working there. I see no need to return. read more

Stopped by for lunch two days running! Simply put... outstanding! Chicken with broccoli and vegetables spring rolls! Vegetables spring rolls were served hot (yes, I've had too many served lukewarm at best!). Crispy and not burnt! They were a good size and filled with a nice mix of veggies. A little duck sauce with mustard and bam! Yummo! Chicken with Broccoli and white rice. Hot, fresh and tender! Was lightly coated with sauce. I like a bit more sauce, but I really enjoyed it! Flavor was nice and mild flavors. The chicken was nicely sliced chicken breast. Fresh meat, not gamey or old! Vegetables were cooked to a nice crunch. Not under, nor over done. I added chili oil and kicked up the heat! Over all, very good meal for the price and enough food! Very Clean and tidy! Only complaint was the forks were a bit wimpy and no knifes.... Keep up the great food and service!! read more

I just moved from out of state and I chose this place for my first take out meal. Disappointing mistake. I will never order from here again. The egg rolls were very very brown, the beef w/ broccoli was bland and the beef fried rice was the worst I've ever eaten! The rice was undercooked, the beef was dry and crunchy, like it was made earlier in the day and left under a buffet heat-lamp all day. read more

Food was very plentiful, however, it was very bland and not flavorful. Just moved to Smyrna, but this will not be a place I order from again. read more

Used to be my go to place. They may have changed hands? Service was slow and disorganized. Had to wait over 30 minutes past the time the order was supposed to be ready for pickup. Would not recommend read more

This use to be my favorite place for Chinese, but the last few times it has been the service that was the issue. Last night I tried to call in an order and she hung up on me. After I finally got my ordered placed and went to pick it up, the place was crowded and no one was acknowledging that we were there. I waited 15 minutes before I finally got someone's attention. My order had been ready the whole time. Then she was as rude as she was when I placed my order. Then I didn't even get what I paid for. The food may be good, but not good enough to go back and pay to be rude to. There's more Chinese places in town. read more

Food was not ok - place overcrowded with crafts for sale. Special requests were ignored. Crowded tight dining space.

Ordered in advance arrived to pick up and still waited over 30 minutes. Not happy it's raining cold. Folks are just walking out without their food read more

Shrimp egg foo young was just okay...not alot of flavor...the egg rolls were cooked too fast well done on the outside but mushy on the inside. Little greasy to me! read more

Came to this location for the first time (from Illinois,) following the reviews of other posters, and I have to say, we're impressed. After a brief wait time (15 minutes) and a short drive home, all items were hot and well made. My son was a bit reserved about the "spicy" orange chicken, but after his first bite, he quickly changed his opinion and lost his reservations. The portion size of Lo Mein from my dish is more than sufficient to abolish my cravings. Well done staff and clean restaurant! I'm definitely keeping this on my go to list when I return to Smyrna. read more

I ordered was quoted 20 minutes for my order to be ready. When I arrived, I had to stand around for another 35 minutes while the person in front of me placed an order at the counter and was out the door before me. I only had two items. I can appreciate things get busy, but there's no excuse for making someone wait 55 minutes for Chinese food! read more

Over charged and messed up order, communication poor and would not fix it. Should not be No 1 maybe -1 read more

Figure we try a new place and choose this place for Friday night take out. The service was friendly and enjoyable. However the food wasn't spectacular. Now I'm not saying it was bad but for me it wasn't worth driving to the other side of town for. The food had a peculiar taste but yet bland. I guess our search for the Boro's best carry out is still open.. read more

the absolute worst service ever. Do NOT order unless you're willing to wait 90 minutes for fast food.

Just moved to the area and needed to find our "go to" Chinese restaurant, so we ordered online around 6:15pm to pick up our order at 7pm. Husband shows up at 7:00pm and they 1. Can't even find the order. 2. Didn't acknowledge him for 10 minutes once he got there. Once they finally figured out the order they then began making it... 30 minutes later he finally gets to walk our work our food. Least we know the food is fresh. read more

Please note I am comparing this restaurant to other like take-out spots. I have dined here twice, once alone and once with my daughter. Both times the service here is exceptional. March 7, 2020: Dined with my daughter tonight. She had Hibachi Vegetables which came with fried rice, Miso Soup, and Salad. I was not very hungry and had some Won Ton Soup. The Hibachi Vegetables were perfectly cooked Al Dente and the sauce was not too heavy to overpower the vegetables. The rice was as good as any we've had at other spots and the salad crisp and fresh. The ginger dressing (which is their own special recipe) is incredible with an orange ginger flavor. The Won Ton soup was good...and had five Won Ton in it. I also got to try a sample of fried butterfly shrimp and their Yum Yum sauce...man they were really good! February 2020: Visited the newly opened No. 1 Chinese Restaurant at 1144 Fortress Blvd. Ying (owner) was most welcoming and I looked over an extensive menu that includes your standard Chinese fares along with Hibachi meals. Of special note was a Diet Section with steamed dishes and no salt. I decided to try the Bourbon Chicken combo which included Pork Fried Rice and an Egg Roll. I did request Chicken Fried Rice and Ying took care of the change with no change in price. While I was waiting for my meal, she offered me a sample of their Hot & Sour Soup. I am not a fan of very spicy items, and when I see a dish in red on a menu with the little jalapeno I normally pass but she said it was not too spicy. Honestly...this was a really good soup, just the right amount of heat so that you could enjoy the flavors in the soup. The Bourbon Chicken was delicious with very tender chunks of chicken in a sweet bourbon sauce. What I liked about this dish was the large pieces of tender chicken, this allowed the sweet bourbon flavor to really come through. The fried rice was good and I really liked the egg roll. This is a family run restaurant and the folks here are really nice...this is not your standard Chinese take-out fare. read more

The food here wasn't bad but it wasn't wow either. We got beef and broccoli and Szechuan chicken. There was definitely a good amount of food for the price (pics below). The staff was absolutely outstanding. Super friendly, attentive, and helpful. There was a good deal of people dining in and a regular stream of to-go orders. Maybe it was just us, but clearly others loved it. If you haven't been there before, get good directions when you call. It's a bit tricky to find. read more

we have had food here, mostly good, couple bad orders, sesame chicken over cooked. this time ordered online, said 20 mins arrived early as usually they are quick to get order done. place was packed with people waiting. I waited for my food for an hour! I get it , they were busy but orders with higher order numbers were given food before me. They said waiting on the Mongolian beef. Once I finally received my food, got home to find They messed my wife's order up, put gravy on her chicken. This has to be the best #1 Chinese food in town. We ordered here for the first time ever. The bourbon chicken caught my eye. It was very good. The general Yao's was even better. The wontons are hand made and this made our experience. I cannot believe we passed this place for so long before stopping in. Big mistake. Huge. read more
