Grabbed some lunch from BOMB Mi Vietnamese Subs...they are parked at the Mobile Station at 2374 Old Fort Pkwy, Murfreesboro, TN (corner of John Rice and Old Fort Pkwy). Love Vietnamese food and had the honor of meeting Mike & Lisa who are the owners of the establishment. Looked over the menu and decided on the Korean BBQ Bahn Mi...everything is made to order, and I had my sandwiches in about 10 minutes. You can wait in your vehicle and they will bring it out to you. LOVED the flavors in this sandwich and the roll was soft on the inside with a nice crunchy crust. The Korean BBQ meat was perfectly seasoned and not too sweet while the veggies were plentiful and very fresh and crispy. This is a solid Bahn Mi and I can't wait to try some of the other versions...especially when Mike posts the special Pork Belly version. Overall great food and excellent service, a real pleasure meeting these folks Mike and Lisa have been in business for a month and Mike said this is their permanent location except for when they do special events...they are open Tue - Sun from 11 - 8pm. read more

First off, the overall food was good, fresh. I only have a couple of little complaints. 1) The level 5 wings were at best level 2, it was disappointing to just get a little heat with level 5, but the crisp on the wings and flavor was good. The vegetable egg rolls were really good and crispy. The grilled chicken Banh mi was good, it needed more of the fresh ingredients and I didn't see Pate on it...with the bun it came off as dry...my husband had the Korean BBQ banh mi, it was a bit better, I got one bite lol I think I will give them another try, but ask for more veggies on the Banh mi and more heat with the wings... read more

Ordered the Korean BBQ Bahn Mi sandwich with the optional sunny side up egg and then a side of the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce. The owners were very friendly and made a few recommendations, super nice people. The sandwich was pretty hefty and had a good sized potion of meat which was expertly marinated with a delicious sauce. The Spring rolls were very cool and incredibly fresh and I loved the peanut sauce that they were served with. Definitely worth stopping by if you are in the area! read more

I saw the food truck last week, but it wasn't open. It was today as I passed by, so I stopped. I believe it's new, but it could just be new to this gas station. I ordered the Korean BBQ Bahn Mi. The meat was very good. Overall good Bahn Mi. For portion it's was bigger than some of the tiny ones you may find, but it also might not fill you up if you are a big eater. I ordered just a classic Banh Mi on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at around noon. I'm not sure if they bake their baguettes fresh or get theirs from a local bakery, but if they do make their own bread- that's impressive. My only major complaint about the banh mi was that the bread itself was quite doughy, which isn't expected in an authentic Vietnamese banh mi. However, I did like the simplicity in ingredients inside the classic banh mi. The cha lua and cured pork tasted good and the fresh veggies and pickled carrots and daikons were fresh. What I think would have elevated the banh mi is if they put some Vietnamese mayonnaise and more pate because it tasted dry. There was so much of the white bread fluff that adding more pate or mayonnaise to cut some of the dryness of the white bread would balance it all out. I hardly tasted any pate and wish there was more. For $8, I think it's a good price. Service was good. The kind owner delivered the order to my car, which was nice gesture. For Murfreesboro standards and lack of Vietnamese presence in the restaurant scene (even in Nashville area), I think Bomb Mi is decent. Their banh mi compared to other's where there's a larger Vietnamese community (e.g. Northern Virginia where I grew up eating banh mi) would be considered average. Some minor tweaks and improvements in the sandwiches will definitely make their Banh Mi's truly bombs. read more

It goes without saying that we are in an Asian food desert so it's always a delight to see new options come up. I went with the classic banh mi (extra pate and veggies) and the salt and pepper shrimp. The portions are so generous! I ended up sharing it and the banh mi with my friend and we still had leftovers. The owners of Bomb Mi are super friendly and can throw down in the kitchen. The flavors are great and the food definitely satisfies the craving. The location of the food truck is very convenient as it is parked in the parking area of the Mobil off Old Fort and John Rice. Plenty of parking and they have a tent up to shade you from the sun which is great. This is a food truck so ambiance isn't really rateable...
