We tried this restaurant for the first time last night, and it was absolutely delicious! We were honestly surprised it wasn't busier because the food and service were excellent. We started with the crispy shrimp appetizer, which was perfectly cooked and a great way to begin the meal. We both ordered the chicken broth ramen, and the flavors were incredible--rich, comforting, and full of depth. My husband also tried a couple of the Japanese beers and really enjoyed both of them. Our waiter was fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to offer recommendations that did not disappoint. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and we'll definitely be coming back. Doesn't matter the weather outside, ramen always sounds good. This is the only good ramen I've found in Murfreesboro. Or at least the most authentic. During colder months there is usually always a bit of a wait. Not terrible. First time trying Brothers Ramen and not sure if it will be my last. Met my brother in laws friends here because they highly recommend it. They told us it was one of their favorite spots in the Boro so of course I came in with high expectations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I will say I love the vibe of the restaurant. She was also good with refilling our drinks and making sure we good during our visit. Unfortunately something happened with their oven while they were preparing our ramen so we had quite a bit of a wait. I'm also not sure why we were served after the table to our left and right were, even though they all came in after us. Both tables ended up finishing their meals and leaving before we even got our food. So I'm not sure how they do their tickets for orders. Wasn't really happy with that. The food was the biggest disappointment. Very lacking in flavor. I ordered the chicken curry and pork buns. My husband got the Kaisen ramen and Takoyaki. He said he didn't like it, which is surprising because he's more forgiving when it comes to food compared to me. The pork in my pork buns was the thinnest piece I have ever seen and the soy sauce was very overpowering. The curry I had in my dish was very thin and watery. The chicken was basically the karaage they use for the appetizer, not actually chicken cutlet like I'm used to. Part of me was thinking maybe it was because I didn't order ramen at a ramen spot but the fact that my husband and my sister both didn't really like their ramen tells me I might have been disappointed anyways. It's unfortunate but I guess we will still be on the hunt for a good ramen spot in the Boro. I'm rating two stars because my husband and I both liked the vibe of the restaurant and our waitress was good. I love going here. It's definitely one of the better ramen places in town. They have a great selection of ramen and other plates and appetizers. It's reasonably priced and you'll definitely get full. Once you see the small plate or appetizers list you'll want to order it all. The service has always been nice and fast and the food hot hot hot- be careful! Saw the reviews and the photos and thought this place seemed worth trying. It wasn't. I tried the shrimp siu mai because that's one of my favorite Chinese dim sum and was immediately disappointed when it came to the table. It tasted as disappointing as it looked. It was mushy and reminded me of something you cook from frozen. I was hopeful for the ramen because of the photos online but I was not wowed by any means. I'll post a photo so you can see that the noodles are not special or house made, they are just run of the mill ramen noodles. Imagine someone asking you for the best American food and you took them to McDonalds. It's not like McDonalds isn't good in its own way, it's just not what you think of when you think "great American food." That's what this place is but for Asian food. Another one bites the dust. One of my kids only eats chicken tenders but liked the Tori Karagee which was branching out for him. The tofu app was good. The Tonkotsu Ramen was the best of the ramens. It took me way too long to come here. I've never been a ramen fan until my husband introduced me to it. This place is delicious. Forget the instant cup o noodles from the grocery store. Go for gourmet! I've been loving the Tan Tan Ramen and steamed buns. They've been my go-to's almost every time. The staff is friendly and the bathroom has a changing station, so I can't complain. Ramen, Oh Ramen, wherefore art thou Ramen?! Well we definitely found it at Brothers Ramen! We have been in search of good ramen in middle TN! We ventured to the "Boro" and gave this place a try, so glad we did! Tonkatsu Ramen was awesome! Broth was fantastic and had most of the elements we needed in our ramen! I will say it was missing some bamboo shoots & Narutomaki (fish cake), but will say this has been the best ramen we have had in Middle TN so far. We also had a side of their Don Buri (beef) with rice, then added some red ginger and Ichimi Togarashi (red pepper flakes) and it was literally like having a Yoshinoya Beef Bowl! Yum! We also ordered the steamed buns! Okay, it was a good bun, but was bummed to find they weren't made there. They reminded me of the frozen (but very delicious) buns we pick up at Bangkok Market. Not sure how I really felt about Brothers Noodle Bar. Maybe my expectations were high based on what I was hearing about the place. It didn't start out good when they said they ran out of sweet tea and weren't making anymore. How do you not have sweet tea in the south available? The service seemed unfriendly and rushed. The overall feel wasn't very welcoming. As far as the food they are huge portions and the flavor of the broth was good. The noodles I expected a little more out of. But overall nothing I'd write home about. I'm not sure it was worth $14 a bowl and extra costs ($2.00 ) for anything else you want to customize your bowl with. Yes I mentioned they don't have alcohol at all. No wine, no beer, no liquor... Yes, that means no sake either but I was told that they are working on getting the license. They have been open only since April 2019. Nice job guys! Place looks great. Staff is sure friendly and accommodating. I came at opening time so it was just me for about 20 mins. I'm always looking for ramen places when I'm not in Nashville. I think Nashville only has one ramen place that I know of and it's not very good in my opinion. They have a bar area with a tv, they had it on food network it looked like but this guy was in Japan and I though it was cool and fitting. They also have a tv on the main floor playing music of current pop music. The volume is nice, not too loud, more on the quiet side but nice, not boring. It looks like they have a good area for outside seating but it's empty right now. Definitely a great idea if they haven't think out it... add heaters for chilly nights? Cover for the winter? New business alert! Brothers Noodle Bar in Murfreesboro just opened recently and still even have their 'grand opening' banner displayed on their storefront. This ramen place popped up as an option when I was searching for places to eat on a recent rendevouz to the 'boro so I decided to give it a shot. I came early afternoon on a Saturday and was surprised to find that there were only a couple of people seated at the bar and only 3 tables of people. I guess the word hasn't gotten out yet? I was greeted immediately when I walked in and the server was very nice and attentive. I decided to stick with a basic, safe order which was the tonkatsu ramen. This choice came with a few slices of chashu pork, which is basically my reason for ever ordering tonkatsu ramen. The bowl had corn, spinach, pickled ginger, green onion, bamboo shoots and half of a marinated soft boiled egg. All the toppings were great and very tasty. I liked the actual noodles as well--they were actually pretty thick. The broth itself was just okay, not the star of the show. I do wish that they had different sizes of ramen bowls available. I was hungry and able to eat most of it but if there was a smaller size available I would've ordered it (and I hate wasting food). Likewise, I know some people who could eat more than me and the ramen didn't fill up the bowl that they brought it in. I liked the ambiance here, the service was great and the food was good as well. Everything we ordered was delicious. Pork gyoza and takoyaki were enjoyable. We also ordered tonkotsu ramen and spicy miso ramen which were both full of flavor. I like spicy food and was hoping the spicy miso had more spice. It was more like a hint of spiciness. The ramen portions are large and the bowl it's served in is deep. The pork in both ramens were generous amounts and not just one piece of pork that will last you 3 bites. The prices are a little higher for ramen but the food is good so you get what you pay for. I just wish the add ons weren't so high in price. $2+ is a little much for small add ons in my opinion. Overall, it was a great experience and I can't wait to go back and try the rest of their menu. Second time dining in at Brothers Ramen. Great service and decent price but unfortunately the food fell short for me this time. I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen and Tori Karaage. The broth of the ramen was not very good and salty and the vegetables, eggs, and meat was very bland. The Tori Karaage was not prepared properly since the batter was still wet and not crispy as well as lack of seasoning. Pretty good for an area not known for ramen. We ordered take out and it was prompt and all very well made. One thing I find hard for ramen Togo is packaging and there's worked great! The fried shrimp, not tempura, was delicious! Dumplings/gyoza were fine and the chicken steam bun was bomb. Ramen was delicious and hit the spot!! Il be back! read more
