I like spicy food and was hoping the spicy miso had more spice. It was more like a hint of spiciness. The ramen portions are large and the bowl it's served in is deep. The pork in both ramens were generous amounts and not just one piece of pork that will last you 3 bites. The prices are a little higher for ramen but the food is good so you get what you pay for. I just wish the add ons weren't so high in price. $2+ is a little much for small add ons in my opinion. Overall, it was a great experience and I can't wait to go back and try the rest of their menu. Came here for lunch today. Got seated right away and our drink order put in while we figured out what appetizer and ramen to order. We decided on the pork buns for the appetizer 2 buns for 8 bucks a but pricy but were good and had delicious sauces. Then I order the spicy miso soup, and my husband got the tan tan ramen both were very good and the broth on both had tons of flavor which is perfect on a gloomy day like today and were running at 14 bucks each for a fair size bowl of ramen. My favorite go-to is the chicken broth ramen with extra chicken, and it's supremely good...I can't handle salty broth that well, but the broths that they make here aren't salty at all! My whole family loves this place, including my 12 year old, picky-eater, son. I'm not a fan of eating meat with soup (guess I know why my son is a picky eater ), but I'm not a vegetarian by any means. So, it's a real treat when they let you order pork broth without any meat. And they will give you an extra egg in place of the meat. The eggs are delicious! Soft-boiled and almost taste like they've been dipped in soy sauce. Very unique taste. We ordered steam buns and gyoza as an appetizer. Loved them both! I highly recommend the Spicy Miso soup with thin noodles. It's my favorite. Finally got to stop in and visit Brother's Noodle Bar, they were having issues the couple of times I stopped by so this was the first time we actually dined here. This is a Japanese Ramen shop with some non-ramen dishes to satisfy those who don't enjoy ramen. First thing I noticed...the menu type/font is very small, so bring your glasses LOL. They offer a variety of ramen options to include beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, and Miso. Decided to try their appetizer of chicken wings with their house sauce...sadly I was unimpressed. Basically you were served six very small chicken wings with a side of sauce that really had no flavor. For $10...save your money as they were not worth it. The Ramen...different story. Tried the chicken broth and the clear broth. The bowls are quite large and the broth is good, but needed a bit more flavor. Adding some soy sauce and black pepper enhanced the dish and they also offered Sriracha too. The ramen noodles are just the right texture, cooked "al dente", and you have a sizable portion. The chicken bowl included mushrooms, seaweed, and spinach...the seaweed was a great addition and still had a crunch to it but the spinach was rather limp. The chicken was really quite good, had a nice flavor, and was very tender. You can order additional ingredients like corn, more ramen, meat, etc to satisfy you r appetite. Ordered one additional bowl of ramen noodles, was more than enough to share between both bowls. Overall...the ramen is really good and I will come back for more. I asked about beer/wine and if I understood correctly they are working on it. This is not your typical "low cost" lunch, but you are getting a large portion and good food. Went for lunch and we both ordered the chicken broth ramen. By far my least favorite ramen I've ever had. I understand it was chicken broth so sometimes it's hard to season (Or maybe it wasn't supposed to be seasoned)but most ramen I've had has a ton of flavor. The noodles were ok. This was missing just basic salt and pepper. From what I can remember they didn't have an option of fresh toppings for example, fresh chopped garlic, miso paste etc (unless I missed it). For our 2 bowls of chicken broth ramen and 2 waters plus tip , the total was $35. Overall the customer service was good and the atmosphere is cute. I think I would go back and try a different item. I used to live in Asia and this food really does taste authentic. I normally get the Tonkastu Ramen which I love. My boyfriend gets the Gyuniku Ramen which both he and I like. I really recommend the steamed buns (well worth the price). And, the Yalu-Gyoza was really good. I love the fact that they have meals for people who might not want ramen. Our group decided to stop by Brothers Ramen Noodle Bar after we had finished a conference in the area. We came in with a group of 13 and took around 20 minutes to get seated. Like many others in this general area, this is the first Noodle Bar I have been too. The restaurant is new and in a very metropolitan area of the city. On this trip it was a party of two. We were quickly greeted and taken to a seat. They created a neat environment reminiscence of a Japanese store. The hostess and server were both very polite. Was in a bit of sticker shock reviewing the menu...The average cost for a bowl is $13 with multiple add ons varying $2-3 which can run the ticket up quickly. We ordered the dumplings which did seem to take a longer than expected. Once they arrived they tasted freshly cooked. You get 5 pieces for $7. Usually at any Asian diner you get more dumplings for the same price or it is priced several dollars less. The noodles without any of the add-ons is just a large bowl of noodles with a few slices of pork belly. Yes it tasted delicious, but I don't know if Murfreesboro is ready for $15 plus bowls of ramen noodles. I wish them well but I personally feel I get more food and bang for my buck with a bowl of Pho from other local locations or just go buy some noodles from the store. My husband and I were having trouble deciding where to go for a date night. As we were driving, I read the name "Brothers Noodle Bar." My husband immediately swung the car into the parking lot. We decided to try it simply based on the name. Holy crap I'm glad we did! These sweet sweet Japanese noodles are to die for. If you have never had authentic Japanese Ramen, Like REAL ramen, (not the shitty stuff in the packets that you microwave,) get you butt in gear and get down here for a taste. Not to mention the entire restaurant is f***ing adorable. I'm going back again tomorrow! I wish I could eat here every day. 5 stars is an understatement in this review. I was so excited to try this ramen shop, I rounded up my family of four to go try it out on their soft opening day. (April 7th). We went in around 11:40 am and were seated... and this is where our experience quickly went downhill. With the promise of water on the way, the young man who seated us quickly walked away without giving us any menus. About five minutes later he returned with our water, and when we asked for menus his expression told me that he had completely forgotten about them. A waitress came by soon after to take our order, but she never introduced herself so I do not know her name. "So, what do you need?" she asked us. I was confused by her word choice here, but we placed our order for four different kinds of ramen and a ramune drink for my son at 11:50 am. My son's drink was served immediately. After this it became a waiting game for our food. Looking around, only two of the seven tables with customers had been served. Everyone else seemed to have been waiting quite a while as well. Almost an entire hour passed while we waited, until finally a different server brought a single bowl of ramen to our table at 12:40 pm. He claimed it was the Tonkotsu ramen my husband had ordered. Our family is Japanese. This was clearly not Tonkotsu ramen. When we mentioned this to him, however, he said "I was told this is Tonkotsu ramen." My husband gave me a look before he reluctantly started to eat. The noodles were a bit soft, and overall it was lukewarm as though it had been left sitting for a while before being brought to our table. My husband then tried the soup, and became upset. It was clearly Miso ramen soup. Our waitress returned to check on us, and when I told her my husband's order was wrong she became flustered and did not know what to do. I mention here again that my husband's ramen was the only bowl that has been brought to us so far. Another thirty-five minutes passed before I was served my Tan-Tan Ramen, my daughter her Miso ramen, and my son his Chicken Broth ramen at 1:15 pm. While the ramen was hot, they still added extra ingredients like red ginger and corn to every bowl of ramen. We did not ask for these ingredients, and they also make for an unauthentic recipe. About ten minuted later our waitress brought a second "Tonkotsu ramen" for my husband. This time, the order was correct. The most obvious and disappointing part of this experience was the wait time. My husband waited 1 hour, and the rest of us waited 1 hr 35 min for our ramen. The store was clearly under-staffed in the kitchen. While we were waiting for our food, I watched servers standing and waiting at the counter to the kitchen for orders to be prepared. In addition to the staffing problem, the chefs did not seem to know what kind of ramen they were supposed to be making. The wait staff could also benefit from more training. Knowing that the official opening had already been pushed back 10 days, I believe the store would have had more success if they had waited a bit longer to prepare instead of forcing the start date. I would still want to go back in a few months to see if they have improved. Price: I felt everything on the menu was a bit on the pricey side, especially the appetizers. read more

My wife and I finally gave this place a try after wanting to go for a while. The ramen was ok and that's about all the positive we can say about the place. I know that finding staff is almost impossible at the moment so maybe we'll give it another try in the future but with that said, our server was terrible. From dragging screeching chairs across the floor for five full minutes to spending 90% of her time chatting at another table and never really providing us with any service after taking our order it is safe to say she wasn't great. The food did come out fairly quick but we finally had to get another sever to help us and she happily did. The ramen wasn't bad in any way but wasn't something to rave about either. This place has simple, delicious food. The process to order online was easy and convenient. My meals are always ready at the appointed time. The people there are always friendly. Gyudon is one of my all time favorite Japanese dishes. It's a simple dish but often in the US I find restaurants try to make it too fancy by adding too many other things to it.
