I have eaten at brothers ramen for almost 2 months now. Everyday I go there, there is great service, considerate waiters, and great food. I have tried almost everything on the menu and there is something here for everyone. Once you start to become a regular, they keep track of what you like to order, what you like to drink, and what makes your eating experience better. I cannot recommend this place enough. For weeks, I drove past the place and saw the "coming soon" signs. It was bordering on frustration that they did not open according to my timetable. I'm glad I waited. Today, they still had the "Grand Opening" banners out, but they were in full swing. Loved it. Go there. Japanese cuisine is something I am familiar with and totally enjoy sushi, shashimi, udon, bento and the entire gamut of offerings. I've never been in a real "slurp shop" noodle or Ramen restaurant. This was great. R7 is the menu item, which is Kaisen Ramen. While the broth was not identified in the menu, I believe it was a miso. It came with shrimp, scallop, fish cake, kikurage mushroom, seaweed, and ginger. Scallops were done perfectly. While not medium rare, they were fully cooked and tender. Shrimp was not "over the top", but they were plentiful, large and tasty. Corn was in the broth, but not on the menu description, and was yummy. Mushrooms, seaweed, and fish cakes were great Ginger was fresh,crisp and perfectly balanced in the meal. Staff was over ingratiating because they were still opening. While there were too many "round eyes", they appeared educated in Japanese cuisine. There was very little bartering to understand the menu. All of us round eyes understood that it was acceptable to slurp the noodles off chopsticks. Decor was light and airy. Modest furnishings were ample. There was not over the top sophistication. We stopped in Murfreesboro on our way to Florida. It was a rainy night and after driving all day was in the mood for a hit bowl of soup. Surprisingly for a Monday night, there were nine tables being served. From the conversations with the servers, I could tell they were repeat customers or regulars. We decided on Brothers Ramen after reading their reviews and because it was only five minutes from our motel. My husband had the miso ramen with ramen noodles and I had the Tonkatsu ramen with rice noodles ( There were two gluten free options of shirataki and soba). Both of our ramen bowls were large and included various topping that at most places would have been termed"extra" add ons. The soup was steaming, as soup should be, and each topping was sectioned off and not mixed together. I ordered a good bit from heree, the gyosa, the fried calamari, a bowl of miso ramen, and the green tea cheese cake (I like to take left overs home and munch all day anyway). The environment was lovely and the service was great as well! The only thing I would have to say is the pork belly in my ramen and the boiled egg was cold. I lived in Japan for nearly a decade. While I was there, there were literally dozens of ramen shops to choose from in every single town, and I ate at one of them at least a couple of times a week. Had I walked into this place in Japan with lots of other options, I still would have gone back. It's authentic. I've been there three times now, gotten something different every time, and everything I've ordered has been EXCELLENT. In addition to the ramen I'd particularly recommend the nikuman (steamed buns) and the karaage. The takoyaki is just like what you'd get at a Japanese festival stall during a Matsuri. This restaurant baffles me, I used to eat here a good amount back in 2020 through 2021 and it was amazing. But now its just been foul and low quality. I am very disappointed.
