Hibachi is not as tasty as I remember it being. That seems to be the consensus from my group. This is an extremely chic restaurant (by Murfreesboro standards), packed with big families around the holidays. I came here with my grandparents for a little dinner and a show. Service is ok, they're dealing with a lot of people in a loud and crazy environment, but I thought it lacked a feeling of TLC. The salad that comes with the hibachi meal was swimming in dressing, way overdressed. But the soup was delicious. Hard to mess up a broth. The hibachi guy was great, not the most exciting show I'd ever seen but he certainly had the spirit. I got the shrimp and steak combo hibachi with fried rice and veggies. The steak was pretty flavorless and had very little char. That was my least favorite part. I think a lot of the flavors could have used a bit of tweaking. The fried ride was too salty and not nearly enough umami. I still ate it all, fear not.

Highly recommend Samurai's Cuisine to anyone in the Boro looking for a good hibachi grill! My family and I enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back. My husband is a big fan of hibachi restaurants so this one's been on my list since moving to TN. We were seated right away when we arrived which was great because it was a Friday evening so I thought it might be packed. Our waitress was super attentive during our visit and quick to grab anything we needed. We also had a great hibachi chef for our dinner experience. One thing is that they sat two other groups with us and I thought it was a bit crowding for us but I get that they need to get as many people in. Just would have been nice to not feel so cramped. The food was great though! My husband and I ordered the crispy crab wontons and Gyoza for our appetizer. Both were good! The wontons could have had more filling. Gyoza was perfect! For our main course we got the Sea and land for 2 which included Filet mignon, shrimp and chicken. The portions are HUGE, I honestly feel like ours could have fed 4 people. It was a lot for just two people but it tasted delicious! The meat was very juicy and had lots of flavor. My husband and I both felt the yum yum sauce was very thin and watered down though. Overall had a great dinner experience and the food was amazing!

Great spot for large groups! We had a party of 35 and booked in advance for an early Sunday night birthday dinner. They seated us right away in a private room, which was awesome. We had four hibachi chefs, and they were all hilarious and super interactive, great teamwork the entire time. Our server was also super friendly and gave me great sushi recommendations. I tried the Crazy Girl Roll, and it had the perfect crunch, plus you could tell the chef put effort into the presentation. Our group ordered a variety of hibachi dishes, and the portions were generous. If you're looking for good sushi and a fun hibachi experience, definitely check this place out! Plenty of parking since it's right off Thompson Lane, and there are lots of bathroom stalls. The only downside is the small waiting area--if you have a big party, you might have to wait outside.

We were in Murfreesboro decided to eat lunch, had a table side Hibachi meal. Shrimp and side of scallops, vegetables one fried rice one white rice, they served fried rice on both. Seafood was old and smelled bad, tasted fishy. Charged for a whole meal when ordered a side of scallops 4 with nothing else. I wish we would have waited until we got to Tullahoma could have eaten fresh delicious seafood at Yamato Tullahoma.

One of the better sushi and habachi in town! Great drinks to go with all the fine food. They now have beer and drink specials. You'll love the bartender and the habachi chefs. It's always a lively place no matter where your sitting. It's definitely not quiet at times especially when there's a celebration of some sort but that's why it's great! You can hear all the joy everyone is having.

Very fresh food, great sushi bar, attentive servers. I came a Saturday night and they were busy but didn't have to wait. I will be back.

One of my favorite spots for Japanese cuisine. We came here for lunch, and they were pretty busy, but the service was pretty quick for how busy they were. Our server was very nice and friendly. She did a great job. I had the crunchy shrimp roll and it was perfect! At some places, the shrimp can be kind of gamey, but not here! I loved it here! I also had the steak hibachi. It was pretty good. No complaints about it at all. The fried rice on my plate was my favorite. The rice was very soft and flavorful. In all, I didn't have a bad experience and always recommend people to come here. It's one of my favorite spots when I crave Japanese cuisine.

Visited U&I Restaurant and Bar and had the pleasure of meeting the charming Heidi (one of the…read morefamily owners) who took exceptional care of me. Even though she was the only serving staff for the evening, she was always smiling and a joy to talk with. This place has a diverse menu, there is no "cooking at your table" available at some Korean places. I started with the Shumai (steamed dumplings) and ordered the La Galbi along with a Kirin Ichiban beer. These dumplings are an amazing surprise...normally expect shrimp dumplings to be overpowering with the taste of shrimp, but not these. The seafood flavors were light, allowing you to taste shrimp and the other ingredients in the dumpling while a little "dip" into the sweet soy sauce made for an awesome appetizer. The La Galbi...marinated and grilled Korean BBQ beef short ribs were so good, you could taste the sweetness of the marinade, and the meat was so tender. There were several slabs of the short rib and along with the sides was a huge meal. You also get a few different sides like Kimchi (light heat), pickled Daikon radishes (slightly sweet and crunchy), Gamja-salad (slightly sweet Korean mashed potatoes salad), and Korean fish cake (kind of bland for me).  While not a "patio" they do have a dining area that when the shutters are opened, gives it a patio feel...overall the place is nicely decorated and comfortable. The food here is done really well and the service was great; I will be back again to try some of their other dishes like the Jjajjang-Myun and Bibimba.

I have debated whether to write this review. Based on other reviews, I suspect we visited on an…read moreevening where something really bad had happened. However, I think it is important to share our experience. I made a reservation for my family of four to celebrate my wife's birthday. I had heard great things about the restaurant, and we are always on the lookout for new places to try. We arrived on time, and were immediately seated. The person that seated us commented, "I have a very nice table for you." Water was provided for the table right away. And then, nothing. We were not given menus. It was several minutes before we even saw any server at any other table. As we looked around the room, we could see there were other patrons who were also being neglected. A couple sitting at one table nearby had menus, but no one took their order. After about 15 minutes, a young man came by the table and asked if we were waiting for our orders. We told him we had not even been given menus yet. He said, "Oh, I'm so sorry! I will get you some menus." He left, but never returned. Finally, my daughter, who is a server at another restaurant in Murfreesboro, went to the front desk and asked for menus. She was provided menus and told the restaurant had several employees "call out" for the evening. We looked over the menus and discussed ordering some appetizers, but no one ever came to take our order. The couple I mentioned earlier finally decided to leave without ordering. As they made their way to the door, an employee apologized to them and told them if they would stay, they would take their order. Meanwhile, at the table behind us, food was delivered. One of the patrons at the table remarked that the dish they ordered was supposed to have chicken, but there was no chicken in the dish. The server apologized and said -- I'm not kidding -- "I can go to the kitchen and get some chicken, and you can add it to the dish." At this point, we decided to leave. As we made our way to the door, the person that seated us noticed and asked if we were leaving. We told her we were, and left. I normally would not leave a negative review based on a single visit, but this experience was possibly the worst I have ever had anywhere. I hope this is an isolated incident that occurred when the restaurant was experiencing an extraordinarily bad night. I would like to give U&I another chance at some point. If I do and the experience is better, I will update this review.

From the food to the service, everything exceeded our expectations. The first thing that stood out was their small plate concept, and I absolutely loved it. I enjoy trying a variety of dishes instead of committing to just one entrée, and this concept is something I wish more restaurants would adopt. We ended up trying almost half the menu and loved nearly every dish. A huge shout-out to our server, Nestor. He welcomed us warmly, was cheerful throughout the evening, and his recommendations were spot on. He truly made the dinner even more enjoyable. We started with a couple of mocktails, and the Purple Haze was refreshing and delicious. Here are some of our favorites: MI Cucumber - Smashed cucumber with soy dressing, crunchy chili oil, and cilantro. Simple, refreshing, and packed with flavor. Plantain - Fried plantains topped with sriracha goat cheese, cilantro, and crunchy gremolata. The sriracha goat cheese paired perfectly with the sweet plantains. K-Pop Chicken - Korean sweet and spicy popcorn chicken with great flavor and a perfect balance of sweetness and heat. Dumplings - Homemade steamed dumplings with edamame, truffle, yuzu ponzu, and garlic confit. I really enjoyed the truffle flavor, though it may not be for everyone. Kimchi Bacon Risotto - Caramelized kimchi, applewood smoked bacon, tomato, and shrimp. One of the best dishes of the night--perfectly cooked with incredible flavor. Crispy Spicy Tuna - Spicy mayo tuna served over crispy rice. This was one of the highlights of the meal. The crispy rice was absolutely perfect. Cauliflower Taco - Crispy cauliflower with guacamole, creamy miso, and tsiran spice. The filling was flavorful, and the cauliflower was cooked perfectly. Lamb Chops - This was the only dish that felt average. The lamb was cooked well, but it was missing a bit of flavor. A little more seasoning, especially some salt, would have really elevated the dish. To finish the meal, we had the Banana Pudding with Vanilla Gelato, which was a delicious and satisfying way to end dinner. Overall, MI Kitchen completely exceeded our expectations. Amazing food, a fun small-plate concept, and outstanding service from Nestor made this a memorable experience. We'll definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu!

It's one of those places where everything is packed with flavor and every dish feels a little special. The Mi cucumber is absolutely to die for--especially when you put it on top of the dumplings. Trust me on that combo! The K-Pop chicken is AMAZING and a must-order every time. The arancini has such a flavorful and unique twist that really stands out. The spring roll was delicious too, full of flavor with just the right amount of spice. And the tacos... you cannot skip them. The beef tacos are incredible, and the cauliflower tacos are just as good. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything here. On top of the fantastic food, the service is always great--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Highly recommend!! Be sure to make a reservation!
