It's always a treat when we come here. The staff is super friendly and so their best as they are short staffed. The portion is fair and the sushi is always so good.

In town for work at the nearby Air Force base for a few weeks. Was feeling like Sushi and looked up what was in the area and randomly picked this spot. I travel 3 weeks of every month across the entire country, so I eat out a lot. Hotel restaurants have gone downhill since the pandemic. SUSHIN has amazing food. I got there right after they opened. Started with the seaweed salad Bonito flakes and gyoza. A hot cup of green tea and Ramune soda. Excellent. The main sushi platter was the lobster roll and the sunshine roll. Wow, blew me away, and I have eaten sushi all over the U.S. and Japan. I like the decorations in the restaurant as well, which makes me feel like I'm back in Okinawa. Will be back this weekend to try something else. The service was excellent.

Came here for the first time the other day and ordered some food to go. I was really in the mood for chicken and beef Yakitori and a sushi roll. They had the chicken yakitori and I got what I could find for the beef with onions and some sauce (which was pretty good too). I'll have to come back and try a bento box for lunch next time

We got spoiled with sushi quality when we were out west and decided to go hunt through Murfreesboro for better sushi (ex: less cream cheese more fish better quality). Sushin delivered on the first visit. It's been YEARS since we have been over here. That was a mistake. It was fantastic and I kinda want to go back this weekend for the kimchi fried rice. It should also be noted that the Holiday Roll (sung to the tune of Holiday Road from National Lampoon's Vacation) is one of the best rolls I've ever had.

This is the real thing! Great sushi and original Korean fare. It is a must go kind of place for Sushi lovers in town.

Great little place that's easy to pass by if your not looking. We went at an off hour so we had heat service. I cannot speak to regular eating hours. We shared a chicken teriyaki plate and two rolls. All good. The menu has a nice variety of food so check out the menu. Not your average Japanese restaurant. A little pricy but we'd go back.

Great "hole in the wall" family run Sushi place. Some of the better sushi I've had in Murfreesboro.

1 star. I've been…read morecoming here about every two weeks and have visited well over a dozen times. Today was my last. Anyone who has eaten here enough knows the game: the more pieces you order, the smaller each piece mysteriously becomes. Fine--it's their restaurant. What wasn't fine was having a man who appeared to be the owner/manager come to our table and tell us, "We can't serve you more fish." When I pointed out there is no limit listed anywhere on the menu, his response was: "If we can't make any dollars from you, we don't need you to come." Imagine running an all-you-can-eat restaurant and openly telling paying customers they're no longer welcome because they're eating too much. If your business model depends on shrinking the sushi and cutting people off when they actually use the all-you-can-eat menu, maybe don't call it all-you-can-eat. And if you can't handle customers eating what they paid for, then maybe you're not cut out to run an all-you-can-eat restaurant in the first place. Don't worry--I got the message. I won't be back.

Sushi has always been my favorite food since I grew up on the coast of Southern California. When I moved with my husband to his hometown of Murfreesboro, finding good sushi felt like a challenge. I wasn't thrilled with my first few attempts at other restaurants - but everything changed when we found Maru! The fish is incredible quality. The salmon is my personal favorite - it practically melts in your mouth. The presentation is always incredible. You really are getting the best cut of fish possible. The rolls are varied and interesting, with a good mix of classics like California rolls and some unique rolls. Sushi is never a cheap choice for a meal, but given the quality and the portions, it really does feel kinda like a steal at Maru. Especially the sushi combos. I get takeout often as my little weekly treat, but the dining experience is also incredible! The atmosphere is very chill and laidback. The staff is always super friendly. Each time I've been, everyone has been helpful and kind. The restaurant is very clean, the ambiance is low-key, the interior design is beautiful. I finally had to write an official review because today they added a free salad with my meal, and I realized a good review has been a long time coming! Cannot recommend Maru strongly enough

First time the service was horrendous the food was borderline and nothing appears to be authentic Thai. After the waiter kid stared at my plates on the kitchen window for about 10 minutes he finally brought them to me I'm sitting at the bar watching him watch my food motionless also apparently needing a reboot. The noodles on the plate were one solid clump that I picked up with my fork in one go and the green Thai curry was terrible. There is also no excuse for such pathetic service when there was maybe 4 tables occupied in the whole restaurant. I was stuck in the restaurant an hour and a half due to completely oblivious and incompetent employees. When I eat out by myself I would normally get in and out of a restaurant within 30 minutes (45 minutes would be a long stay) today I walk in and take a seat to wait for my to go order, the waitresses is standing in the doorway of the kitchen with a plate and a massive smile on her face with a blind stare in her eyes standing motionless seriously like the main frame needs to be rebooted or something. The young kid is helping people at the entrance, the waitress is still standing in the same place it has now been about seven minutes still standing motionless and apparently clueless on what to do with her plate. I find out she is waiting for The young waiter helping people at the front to instructor on which table the food goes to... at this point there are only 3 tables occupied in the restaurant. If this place doesn't hire experienced management, waiters and waitresses they will end up closed/bankrupt like all the other restaurants before them in that spot.

We asked to be seated at a table. I asked for the Habachi chicken with noodles instead of rice and vegetables. Our order was taken quickly and all of our questions answered. The salad came out soon after but we didn't receive soup. Not sure if that's part of the lunch menu or not but I've always gotten soup and salad at previous visits. When the Habachi chicken and noodles came out it looked extremely bare. The noodles looked and tasted like they were just boiled and smothered in sauce, not cooked or marinated on the Habachi grill. The same went for the vegetables. There was also so salt or pepper in sight. The chicken tasted good but the rest of the meal didn't complement it well. I just think it's kind of sad that it seems like I have to sit and watch them cook the food to make sure it's cooked appropriately and that the same quality standard is not coming from the back kitchen.
