They were packed with a generous amount of beef and the consommé was just as delicious. The tacos were so filling that I could only finish one! The brisket was good though I've definitely had better. They also offer three different sauces and we enjoyed all of them. The restaurant itself is pretty small and it was very busy the entire time we were there which says a lot about how popular this place is. They do have a large outdoor patio but it was way too hot to sit outside even with the misters. We sat at the long high top table inside and it felt tight especially with people in line right next to us. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I'd definitely go back to try some other dishes and definitely more birria tacos.

I noticed Dave's only had about three cars in line, so I figured I'd give it a try. Best decision! You can choose your level of heat, and we went with Medium for the chicken. I got the chicken strip meal, and WOW--it was amazing! The chicken was moist, tender, flavorful, and spicy without being overwhelming. They recommended trying honey on the chicken, and that was amazing! The sweet honey with the spicy chicken was the perfect combination. My husband tried the Dave's Sauce, which is similar to a honey mustard, and he thought it was the perfect pairing with the chicken. And don't overlook the fries--they're seasoned and really yummy! Definitely glad Cane's had a long line that day because I may have found a new favorite!

This location is large and has a lot of tables inside and outside. There's plenty of room for large parties to congregate together and not bother other customers. There's was also a lot of sunlight pouring into the building which I enjoy. They have a large Arizona-themed wall mural and many other decorations throughout the restaurant. The menu board is both simple and diverse, as you have a choice of proteins (carne asada, pollo, al pastor, cabeza and grilled cactus!) and an assorted way to enjoy them (tacos, burrito, quesadilla, nachos, vampiro, and more). Once you place your order at the counter, they have a nice salsa bar with multiple salsas/sauces, guac, onions, radishes, cilantro, limes and more. There's also a table for all your other dining needs (utensils, napkins, salsa cups, etc). I enjoy places that trust their customers to take what they need and not take advantage of their hospitality. I ordered 3 tacos and grabbed 3 salsas to mix and match. I really enjoyed the Al Pastor and Carne Asada tacos, but the Pollo wasn't to my liking (had a rubbery/slimy texture and didn't taste to my expectation). The salsas/hot sauces were fine but I didn't find a favorite. Overall, this was an enjoyable lunch at a fair price and at a nice setting. Thanks Tacos Calafia!

He paired it with a chicken Caesar salad, loved both, and is already asking to go back. My youngest had the pizza melt, loaded with plenty of pepperoni and cheese, with fries on the side. Everyone was so friendly, the customer service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was upbeat and welcoming. Finding a place that all three of us enjoy this much is a win.
