The fresh mozzarella was so gorgeous we ordered 2 balls to takeaway. Hot bruschetta ragu was simply lovely bread topped with a meat ragu and melted mozzarella. Honestly, we've had better calamari and would prefer a marinara sauce versus what tasted like French fry sauce. The lasagna was delicious and the serving of such a size we happily brought some home. My partner ordered South Africa Dark chocolate and Reese's gelato whilst I ordered Madagascar vanilla and key lime gelato. Whilst Dolce Vita is a restaurant it felt and tasted as if we were eating at someone's home. The young staff were super attentive and very knowledgeable about all on offer. I highly recommend you give Dolce Vita a go!

I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this Firehouse Subs location (1616 S Stapley Dr, Mesa, AZ). While getting a drink, the machine spilled orange syrup on my brand new white shoes, leaving a noticeable stain. These shoes cost over $100. When I brought it to the staff's attention, they offered me a medium sub combo as compensation--which honestly felt insulting given the damage. I politely asked for just two subs instead, thinking that was a reasonable request. They told me no, then still charged me $6.50 for the subs I was buying for my girlfriend. I've spent upwards of $60 a week at Firehouse before, often going 2-3 times in a week because I genuinely loved the food and service. But this experience felt like a slap in the face. The employees change over quite often but they are always friendly so the managers must do a good job of hiring and training their employees. The location is one of the better ones as there's good natural lighting out the eastern windows and they have ample seating inside and a larger patio with tables on the east, SE and south side of the building...so you can normally find share or sun pending your preference. The subs here are above average. They have steamers for their meats and cheeses so they melt together and have enhanced flavor. The bread is average and sometimes will be under toasted or over toasted. They have the standard add-on toppings, and also have a hot sauce bar with different brands and Scoville levels of sauce. For drink selections, they have a large Coke Freestyle machine, but they more often than not have some or all the flavorings out of stock. What's the point of this machine if there's no vanilla peach Coke? They brew their own unsweet and sweet tea as well. Overall, this is one of the better Firehouse chain locations to visit and I'm happy I have this option close to work. Thanks Firehouse Subs!
