I ordered the 3 tacos plate and upgraded 1 to a Mahi Mahi grilled taco and the Mahi Mahi was so burnt I had to remove it from the taco. Another taco was chicken and it was just mid. The 3rd was a fish taco and it had a way over cooked piece of fish that was twice the side of the tortilla. I couldn't even cut into the fish. Honestly very disappointed. read more

I really enjoy the California Burrito, the toasted tortilla and French fries add a great crunch and texture, and the salsa and guac help make the rest of the burrito very juicy. The food itself is 5 stars. Service and ambience are generally okay, nothing special compared to like a typical sit down restaurant, they dint detract or add much to the experience. read more

I haven't been to Rubio's in years and when I did go, I loved it. The food was fresh, everything was great. So after a long hiatus of visiting the restaurant, I decided to order one of the seven dollar meals, which was the two pieces of fish, coleslaw, and fries. I was excited because my taste buds immediately went back two years past when the food was delicious. I opened my box to be disappointed to find to what appears to be overcooked pieces of fish. When I picked it up, it was very greasy to the touch. I bitten into a piece and it was greasy and had no flavor. The french fries were cooked well, but that was the only thing that was good in this combo. And they only gave about 2 tablespoons of coleslaw. The thing I like about this location is how nice and friendly everyone is. Small sidewalk patio plus indoor seating. The tacos are tasty and the salads are great too. Had taco Tuesday yesterday and it was good but the sides I ordered (rice and Mexican street corn) are pricey for what you actually receive. Visited on June 23 for Taco Tuesday. Ordered online. Prior on line orders were wrong so waited awhile to try again. This time order correct but OMG ordered 5 regular fish tacos. 4 of them were burnt. Honestly upon walking in we were greeted by the nicest guy Glenwood. He was super kind and made sure to take my avocado allergy seriously, by making sure everything was on the side. Even with us coming in an hour before closing he was super nice! He brought all the food to our table and asked if he needed anything and this is not a "dine in" restaurant so he totally didn't have to do that. The California bowl and tortilla soup had very little chicken so we asked if it was the usual portion and he said no, and very quickly apologized and grabbed extra chicken which was so nice!! Understaffed youngsters brought wrong plate. On request for replacement, they never brought it out for over 15 minutes. Upon walking up to front counter , I saw it just sitting there on the kitchen pass through ledge. And I had to watching turning to ice cold status as the one counter person took 5 more minutes taking a cash order from an overly talkative lady who must have few friends. Not here on Taco Tuesday and it was fairly empty. Which is good! I hate waiting! Especially for food. Whoever said patience is a virtue probably wasn't hungry at that time. The young ladies who worked tonight were delightful. Greeted and thanked multiple times and even asked how my day was going. They stayed busy with their duties even though there no customers ordering. You don't see this kind of engagement a lot from the kids these days so I was impressed. Ordered the California burrito for a change. It was fresh but a little on the skimpy side. Good thing it comes with a side of chips otherwise I'd have to order 2 just to get filled up. Gotta love the fresh salsa bar though. Wouldn't mind if this salsa bar was at a wedding reception along with the chips and bean dip. Lol This place is nice and clean and gave good service. Seriously this was the last time ever going to this location. They're awful and they get our order wrong almost all the time. Ordered a Wild Salmon Burrito. A flauta has a lot more filling than this burrito. The amount I got was equivalent to 1/4 or 1/5 of the normal burrito and I've gotten this before at other locations, so I'm comparing to those locations. Basically I got a little more than the tortilla, which that was basically what this burrito was - a tortilla with 10 kernels of corn and maybe 1/2 oz of salmon. I also ordered a side of street corn but got nothing. Tried calling that Rubio's back but their phone system for 4 hrs said they were busy. I doubt that. The point of ordering takeout was I didn't want to cook. But I ended up doing that. The time before, which was 3 weeks prior, I ordered a salmon burrito but got a shrimp burrito. Maybe don't order the salmon burrito because they just can't make it. Now I have to go back in tomorrow to deal with this because I'm not paying $11 for basically a tortilla, 10 kernels corn, a few flakes of salmon and a teaspoon of guac. Rubio's used to do a good job, but it seems this location usually gets something wrong with our order. Not worth the stress and hassle. read more

My son and I were there Thursday night (11/7) and they ended up getting super busy (like 630-7pm) while we were there. My receipt says Johnathon who I'm guessing is the manager but the girl that was working did such a great job with the rush! She was so polite to everyone even when people were not being polite to her about the wait. One of her coworkers came out from the back to help and they did a great job working together during the rush. She was taking orders, filling orders for online and to go and he was helping bring out food and get orders ready as well. Similar flair to that of Baja Fresh and Wahoo's. Great everyday Baja style grub that isn't overly expensive. Though, the steak burritos are a bit on the small side and could use a bit more steak. On the flip side, my experience is always consistently pleasant. I don't often drink soda, but I will have Vanilla Coke from the tap as it pairs well with almost any dish! Also, I used to dread coming here because the parking lot was always a zoo...but since Starbucks moved a few doors down (and got a drive-thru), the lot in front of Rubio's is practically a ghost town and I've been scoring rock star parking ever since! read more

I think this place is understaffed for the lunch time rush. I got a mahi mahi burrito to go, took about 15-20 mins, then i get to work and realize it's a beef burrito. That's the sucky part about to go, when your order is wrong there isn't much you can do. Hopefully Rubio's reads these and i can get a credit for a mahi burrito next time I'm there. Having ordered from this location a few times I can conclude the first bad order was not just a bad day. We don't always get what we order - like black beans instead of refried. Taco Tuesday Goodness! I like Taco Tuesdays here... Good taco deals, on good tacos. There is actually a good portion of fish in the tacos too! Friendly staff... The girls working here have always been polite and friendly. I really like the not insane lines to get your food. You can actually get in here and order your food and eat before you die of starvation! Some Taco Tuesday places are so packed you have to wait 30-45 minutes for a seat, but not here. We order to-go often and it's always so fresh and delicious! Tonight my family and I decided to order the Family Taco Kit/Platter, I'm so glad it's back on the menu. It's everything you want for an amazing taco night! We get the grilled chicken, no fried pinto beans and mexican rice. The platter comes with 8 tortillas, salsa, guacamole, chipotle white sauce, lettuce and cheese. So so so good!!! Also through the Rubios app, I was able to get this delivered for free!! I am new to the valley and my colleagues recommended I try this place out for their tacos. I got the 2 different types of shrimp tacos and enjoyed every bite! I love shrimp but never cook any myself. I try to find places that serve really great shrimp entrées but I had yet to find the perfect shrimp taco here in the valley to take care of my cravings. I love the food there, but always there is an issue making the orders. If either missing part of my order and i have drive back or they make me the wrong order. This needs to fixed because is waisting people's time to drive back and pick up the rest if their order or argue about getting the wrong order which affects their time to eat, the quality of their food on either on their lunch break or with their family. read more
