A group and I went with a group of women to prepare for a wedding. We all got manicures and pedicures of the same color. The owner was a tad bit late opening but it was a nice sunny day and it did not bother us. There were 5 of us to start and one late arrival. We were all able to get our manis and pedis at the same time with the same color. My pedicurist was very efficient and did a wonderful job on my toes. Usually toe polish comes off of my nails within a week because I am a dancer and very active with and without shoes. This pedicure lasted 2.5 weeks with two clear coat additions so I was incredibly happy. All of our manicures looked great. My nails lasted three weeks without getting misshapen or breaking. The polish did not last as long as I would have liked but I had a color change so that worked. Pleasant experience with pleasant people. read more

Linda is no longer with Sala Nails & Spa, and I truly believe she was the best/most experienced tech there. Last time I went into Sala for a full Pink & white, instead of telling me Linda wasn't working there at all anymore, they just said, "no" when I asked if Linda was in. I needed my nails done so I went with whoever was available (I believe it was Val?). The way she applied the acrylic was really thin and she the did not give my nail any structure whatsoever so they looked really flat. I could tell she was really rushing, to the point where she put my cuticle oil ON TOP of the nail dust that I was never excused to the sink to wash off after the initial filing. I will not be returning to Sala, and will be following Linda and going to D'lux Nails on Mississippi and Havana from now on. read more

I got a pedicure and full set with chameleon flakes. My daughter got shellac manicure and design and my oldest got a full set with shellac. I have definitely had better pedicures. The cleaning and polish is great, but the pedicure is really about the massage. My usual salon offers longer massage and scrub and hot towel as part of their cheaper package. Here you have to pay which is fine as a business but I'll probably get my pedicures elsewhere. Our nails came out wonderful. My daughters super cute. I was a little upset I asked how much chameleon flakes were and she said $10 on fake nails $5 on real nails. I get to check out and they charged me $50 for my nails (listed price for a full set is $25 which should have made my nails $35) when I asked they just said no it's $50. My daughter was sitting there when I asked so I know I'm not crazy. So that is upsetting. All prices need to be posted. And my daughter wanted a full set with normal polish and they gave her shellac. She should have spoken up but I also feel when kids are getting nails done they should confirm all pricing and services with the paying parent present. This was my go to salon for the past year. Up until recently I had nothing but great things to say! I've had a couple iffy experiences but nothing to stop me from going back. I went and got a new dip set a month ago .. she did it extremely quick. By the end of week 1 I think 5 nails broke off? I went in again and got a whole new set on by a different girl. Literally the NEXT day a nail broke off. They all had tiny cracks in them that I could tell they were going to break soon. Sure enough, they all start falling off. I don't know what happened. Terrible! I went in for a manicure and a pedicure. So unorganized and chaotic. I got my pedicure. She forgot to cut my nails on my right foot. She barely went in with the callus on my heel. Then after the pedicure was finished, I sat there for 15 minutes. Finally she came over and I asked her when will I get my manicure? She forgot I wanted one. She gave me the manicure at the pedicure chair. I had to hold my hands up and arms up the entire time and it was completely uncomfortable. I had to even reach over my left arm to the right side so she could proceed. It's so chaotic I wasn't relaxed at all I actually got anxiety just being in that place. She dropped the nail clippers on the floor and proceeded to clip my hands and I asked her not to and to get new clippers that are sanitized. Will never go back. read more

This place is disgusting. The only reason I entered this establishment is because they were open on Columbus Day. When I entered I worked with a woman named Judy. I asked her to do a soak off and she insisted on scraping off the nail which destroyed my nail bed and then she did a terrible job and my gel fill which broke within a week. She even said while she was doing it that she didn't like them and they weren't coming out well. When I called to complain the manager baited me in by promising me a refund and when I came in he denied me a refund full well knowing it was shotty work. I have visited Sala Nails twice now and the experience has been okay. The prices are very competitive in comparison to other places which is way I wanted to go the first time and after an "okay" my first experience, I thought, maybe I'll try them out one more time since it is close to where I live. Sala has a lot of clientele which makes for an extremely busy place, meaning there is a substantial amount of wait time, I recommend booking an appointment in advance. I am not sure how often they re-use the clippers and other tools but the bags that the tools are placed in are generally sealed at other locations, but the bags were unsealed both times I went at Sala, which is a bit concerning. I received a gel manicure and standard pedicure, the pedicure always lasts but even after 3 days on both visits, the gel manicure began to chip away. This is an okay place but if you are looking to have your gel manicure last, I would spend your money elsewhere. However, the pedicure was great and Sala is in high demand for acrylics. read more

First time I got them done by Lee she did a decent job and seems to be the busiest nail tach of them all (she looks like she might be the boss lady). I used to come here a lot before I moved to Hawaii and they were fantastic. Upon my return I was sad to find I was over charged and my services were rushed. I paid for a pedicure package that would remove calluses. My feet are still rough. Also my toe nails were cut way too short and crooked to the point it was painful. I also got a rebase done on my acrylic nails. This process usually takes every nail tech I've been to in the past 3 years at least an hour from Start to finish. It took the man who did my nails 30 minutes. I always ask before I continue with a nail tech if they can do the design I'm requesting. He assured me he could do what I had asked for. But somehow I ended up with sloppy/smeared looking crosses. And for all of that to happen just to be over charged by $25 is appalling. I am new to Denver and in search of a nail salon. I am very disappointed in the quality, the customer service when I came back to have them fixed and the professionalism of the other nail tech next to me. I requested a gel powder fill and could tell the quality of the powder wasn't great...it appeared bumpy n clumpy. I figured it might be ok once she filed them down... I am not one to complain and left the salon telling myself that its just a new nail tech, go home n see how they feel. Bottom line they came out super thick and you could see powder bumps n lumps here n there. I came back two days later and after telling the gentleman who did my nails he put me back with the same person to fix... I waited at least 45mins for her as well and while I was waiting the nail tech next to me (lisa or linda) proceeded to curse and complain about customers who come back in to have things fixed and she's done fixing other people's mistakes. She made comments about people coming in to get fixes cause they want to prolong fill timeframes. I almost confronted her but kept my cool... from the way she talked about herself she might be the most requested tech there...and that's scary based on how she was speaking to her customer, talking down about other customers and the constant cursing. I was floored...thinking this is a place of business, right?!?! Honestly, I spend a lot of money on my nails...fills, pedicures, etc... and I am loyal to a salon that does great work n treats me well. I am not one to complain or be nit picky...but I was made to feel like the bad work was my fault. Not to mention the horrid display n conversation coming from the other nail tech. Mind you, she was saying all this to her customer...who looked at me like, I'm sorry you have to listen to this. The ownership needs to take a deep look at how their employees are treating customers and representing their business. I paid $50 for dip powder on medium length nails and 5 out of 10 are bumpy, the top coat wasn't shellac so it also isn't even and dried oddly on a thumb nail. Overall she was very nice and the service was pleasant I just wish she would have taken a little more time to make them look consistent. This is the first salon I've tried since I moved back to Colorado this month and I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and try them again. I went to this place because of all the great reviews. I called for an appointment and messaged for pricing first. I did a pedi and gel full set, and I am quite pleased with the service. They were very careful and friendly although I did not like the steamy hot towel they put over your feet, it literally burned my foot. I also did not like that the color I was looking for in the gel was not available. I wanted a nude beige and had to go with a nude pink. My nails did come out beautiful just wish the tips were just a tad wider on my middle finger and thumb, nonetheless one of the better sets I've ever gotten. I did love the fact that they use fresh new tools for the pedicures!! A gel full set was $45 and the quick pedi was $20, not too bad.
