I have known the owner since I was a teenager, and she quickly became a good friend of the family. She is such a nice, friendly, hospitable person, very genuine. But she also is a hair master, just what you're looking for for your various hair needs and desires. Money is very tight for me, and I could go to a cheap barber or something, but I would rather get the immense quality that she always brings every single time. her prices are very reasonable, and in the over two decades that she has done my hair, I have never had a haircut I was disappointed with. I was getting more self-conscious about my white temples (I'm young, but did not get very good hair genes), and she colored them and made them look totally natural with the rest of my hair. She is extremely artistic and can get a sense for exactly what will work with each person, and she's great conversation every time while she does my hair. She also is an excellent business owner and knows how to find the right people who will make a terrific team. Each one of her other hairstylist are also very popular and leave their customers very satisfied. Close to my house, I wanted to give them a try. Due to conflicting schedules I had to bump out my appointment by a week and I was given the newbie stylist. Im usually fine with that but not someone with only two years experience and barely out of her teens. Ughhh. Christmas is a busy season and the other stylists were all booked. The girl was very slow and scared of messing up it seemed. It took three hours to do my hair and I was shocked. Everyone was nice but at the end of the day, that was far too long and I did not feel like it should have taken that long. I don't know. Lisa just continues to do a fantastic job and her color skills are magical. I have very fine thin hair and most color appointment I have been to lasts a couple of hours, longer than the expected time. I was shocked at how great it turned out and how fast it took. The color is so pretty. My hair appointment time (cut, color, style) was completed in like 2.5 to 3ish hours. I am super stoked for the look and I am ecstatic to wear this color around this year. I had Theresea who is lovely and sweet! She did my color amazing and got me the exact shades I wanted BUT BETTER!!! I did see it a little more streaky then I like in a few spots but I'll still be coming back in 2 months because I love love love the color and she literally adapted it from a formula I got from my hair stylist in NY. They did a good job bleaching my hair it was a light brown/red from box dye it came out better than I thought it was going to some of the bleach is patchy like some parts are a lot lighter than other but with box dye you can't really help that my only real issue is my hair cut it's super choppy when I asked for it to be blended as well as the construction going on next door made the whole experience not relaxing the whole time I was there it was just loud jackhammering probably would have been best to warn customer in advance about that and felt I could go to a better relaxing place for the $$$ I spent. read more

I was a consistent client until now. At this time, I wasn't satisfied with the surprise bill and the layer cut. Came here for a regular color with the same estimated price by the receptionist. Didn't get the info about whether there's an additional price before starting the service or during the service. In the past 2 services, my hair length was about the same and the price was the same (haircut, color, and style). The receptionist told me the rate would be $150. She said they don't raise the price for me. Britt was the person that available at that time. Unfortunately, her job also didn't satisfy me. I didn't have a good layer compared with other stylists or other salons. When I wash and dry up my hair, doesn't show a layer shape. Her work is also sloppy and left me stains all along my hairline and near my ears. She added an extra $20 at the end of the service without informing me there was a cost for not having enough color during services. She didn't measure correctly how much color supply I needed. Other stylists can measure an accurate amount without giving me a surprise bill. Anyway, I would say goodbye to this place since they weren't honest about the bill. Of course, as a polite customer, I still gave a tip to Brit, but I would not come back to give a business for this place. read more

I have been a loyal good tipping customer for 5 plus years. My last 3 hair colors I've had some issues because my hair has been changing with menopause. I have continued to work with my hairdresser Lisa looking for a solution. I had an appointment to see her this Saturday the 29th of April. And through text they had the receptionist/marketing lady email me and cancel my appointment saying there was nothing further they could do for me. I am so impressed with my entire experience at this salon. I worked with Amanda and have found my new hair partner! I walked in ready for a change and thinking I'd go from red to blonde. She recommended a middle ground of high and low lights while leaving 1/3 of the red for dimension and contrast. She cut and colored my hair flawlessly, and I've received constant compliments every day since. The way Amanda cut my hair is playful and so versatile that I can change my look from day to day. She listened to my challenges and gave me the styling options I was craving. Rarely do I bring home recommended products that work as well in my hands as they do in the salon. But the products I took home are amazing and now I can 3 days between washings which is healthier than the every day washing I was doing before. I can't wait to come back and continue coloring my hair under her expertise. The salon itself was such a pleasure to be in and very friendly. The service was amazing and the ladies here are extremely nice, but as far as the haircut goes I wouldn't recommend for men haircuts because in all honesty it wasn't a great haircut for me and it's because this salon specializes for women hairstyles rather than men. I've been going to Salon Orea for around a year now. It takes me for ev er to find the right stylist to do my hair - and in the mean time, I just let it go. Sometimes I'll cut it, sometimes I won't. Most of the time i keep it in a pony and pretend nobody notices it has no style. But that was all before I met Theresa P. She's a wizard of the washbasin and wields scissors like a scepter. Even if you don't like alliteration, she really is pretty amazing! Anyone who is able to give my baby fine hair some style and body deserves some major kudos - even if she does describe me as "sassy" a little too often, lol! Everyone who works there seems to be pretty wonderful, actually. I've spent several hours "in the chair" and I've seen men, women, and children of all ages come in, sit down, and before long, they all leave with a smile on their face. I feel slightly bad writing this low review, but I must because I've never disliked my hair so much. I have them 2 stars because 1. They are very friendly, offering drinks as soon as you walk in and the experience was nice and 2. Because my stylist tried to fix my hair after it was very choppy. The reason I feel so upset is because I went in yesterday for a trim.. a trim to me is maybe 1/2 to 1 inch of hair off. My goal was to get a trim so my hair would continue growing out since I've wanted my long hair back.. what I got was probably close to 3-4 inches cut off (this is an estimate based on recent pictures of me before the haircut). My longest layer does touch my shoulders, but the shortest one is so short I can't pull it back into a ponytail - before all my hair went back to a ponytail no problem.. I am thrilled! I went in today to have my hair colored, a major change to pinks and purple. I was matched with Jessica, (a real life unicorn!) and she had messaged me beforehand to get an idea of what I was looking for. After checking out her work, I put my hair in her hands and trusted her vision. It came out AMAZING! She gave me an fantastic natural balance of shades in crazy, vivid color. So, Britt has done my hair about 6-7 wks ago. It looked nice and I was pleased. Unfortunately, the more my roots came out and I put my hair in a pony tail it did not look as good/clean. The highlights she put in made my hair look uneven and weird, friends noticed it at a recent retreat. I was having an appointment with her tomorrow which I was going to go to, but I had questions on how we could do things better for this coming appointment. She seemed very annoyed with my questions. My coworker heard her on the phone and said to me "I would not go to someone who talks to you like this". When I called one more time before my appointment to ask why we had to use toner instead of permanent color, Britt was extremely rude. She said she spent so much time with me on the phone talking about my hair (when she didn't even let me speak to begin with). This is my appearance and I work in a professional environment, of course I want my hair to look good. She pretty much pushed me to cancel my appointment which I had no problem doing. Who wants to get their hair done by a rude hair stylist? I still can't get over how I was treated by her, she should not work in a customer service driven environment if that is how she speaks to her customers. Lyn is the best esthetician I have ever had the pleasure (no, really!) of being waxed by. I started seeing her when she worked across the street at the waxing - only joint, and found her to be personable without it being too awkward, so I kept setting appointments with her. When she went into business for herself at Salon Orea, I followed her as soon as my contract across the street was over. I saw a few other waxers at the other place and prefer her thoroughness and personality. At this point, I would go anywhere she is, as long as I don't need a plane to get there. I needed a new salon. I had not gone for hair or waxing since way before the lockdown. I had straight long hair which I'd had most of my life and needed something new! I had an appointment with Lisa and showed her a picture of the cut I wanted. She did it perfectly!!! I love my haircut!! I will only be going to Lisa from now on. I also had an appointment with Theresa(?) who does the eyebrow waxing (along with microblading, etc. she told me) and she took more time and care shaping my eyebrows while not taking from them (since I'm 59--my eyebrows are hardly there).
