THIS IS NOT TEX-MEX, AMEN! Once you adjust and get past the odd atmosphere of satellite radio with ads, tables that look like they were repurposed from a country kitchen estate sale, and bottled water, you can then fully fall in love with the food. It's homemade AF. The corn tortillas are lovely. The chipotle chicken enchiladas were the best I've had in Texas. Prices are a tad steep, but again...it was the best enchiladas I've had in Texas. I'll be back for sure.

I love this place! It'd been at least a year since I've visited last & I'm shocked it's not more popular. The lemonade is fresh squeezed but extra good. I had the shrimp enchiladas this time, everything was delectable. I'll be right back!

Fresh made guacamole in molcajete. They ask your desired heat level before prepping.

First timer. Was seeking authentic Mexican food. Have been disappointed in New Braunfels offerings that claimed to be the best. Fresh made guacamole in a molcajete was delicious. Ordered carne asada with my customization of a cheese enchilada on top covered in sauce. Thick, large, well seasoned carne, rice and beans. I lived in Mazatlan for five years and this is the closest I have come locally to authentic. Met Oscar, the owner, server etc lol, and had a great conversation as well as superior table service. Oscar shared that the owners of some of New Brauenfels top rated Mexican restaurants come here to eat! They are especially known for their varied menu, particularly ceviche for which I will be back! You should definitely try Sal-o-mon's for the best!

This place is very pricey for little plate you get. The food was cold and not authentic. The manager was drunk and sloppy.

My second visit. Food is excellent and our server was very helpful. I tried the Sal-o-Mon taco. Liked it so much I ordered a second.

The Mexican street corn was one of the best things I've eaten. Great tortillas. Looking forward to coming back and trying more.

In all honesty, I tried really hard to hate on this place. I've had plenty of tapas in Europe and…read morelarger metro American cities that have nailed the concept. When I saw the mechanic shop conversion and industrial interior I got worried. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and a tad unprepared for shift opening. HOWEVER, I am always open to being proved wrong, which I was. The food was amazing and the staff was able to handle the five of us, three being boomers who had questions about EVERYTHING, but we love them, haha. The staff handled us with grace. When they didn't know the answer to the million questions we had they got it for us from the kitchen staff or manager. Zero pretension. All the kindness. I can't remember what we ordered; we ordered at least half the menu. Every single dish was amazing. We will for sure be back sans boomers for many date nights to come.

The waitstaff is wonderful and everyone is so nice. I get the same dishes every single time because I know they are very good...the hummus and their bread is amazing! Caesar is also super good every time. We love getting the meatballs and the shrimp dish...the shrimp one is probably my favorite item on the menu. I don't even love wine but the wines I have had there are great! The only cons I do have to say are I wish the menu had more options or when there are specials it's more than one day before they sell out. I LOVE tiramisu and that's the one dessert they do have but I've only been able to order it once because every other time they are sold out and I understand you run out but then there needs to be a second or third option to choose from. I look forward to ordering the tiramisu every time and I haven't been able to in months because they never have it. This is one of my go to places when I do eat out here and I'm happy with getting the same dishes over and over because they are good but I am interested and excited to see what else they add to the menu in the future!!

The place is a good size with inside and outside seating. They have nice alcove booths that fit a good amount of people. We made reservations for first Sunday brunch. Currently they only offer brunch the first Sunday of the month. They have an extensive wine menu and do have wine based cocktails and mimosas. On Sundays they have happy hour all day. I had she zucchini fries. The serving was big enough to share. It came with a side of marinara. For my meal, I had the avocado toast with poached eggs. The avocado has just the right amount of lime. It came with a hash brown patty. The hashbrown patty was just ok. For dessert, we shared the pancakes. They were sooooo good. Definitely full of butter, but not complaints from us. I had the pink label Rose. It was good and a great price as it was on their special menu of opened bottles. Parking is available on site, but shared with the other businesses

The drinks are the star here. Creative without being overdone, and clearly built with intention.
