    Roughstock. This band was phenomenal

Place is cute. Even though it was cold and rainy there was enough cover and outdoor heaters. Margaritas on the rocks were nice and tangy. THE BAND (Roughstock) WAS PHENOMENAL. The lead singer has the best voice. The guitarist was super. He did a solo set that was great. Will definitely come back to see them!

Cute and casual hang with great live music . Not packed which I loved! Great neighborhood vibe

There are too many great places in Gruene to waste your time here.

The service here is best described as non existent. We walked inside & waited for the bartender to acknowledge us but she was too busy talking to what appeared to be friends of hers. We walked down from Grapevine (great selection of wine & friendly bartenders) to try this place out. We thought the outdoor patio area & live music would be nice. Needless to say, we left & ended up enjoying live music at a different establishment w friendly service.

Formally The Vineyard, this place took its former self up a notch when they started serving real spirits! Woo hoo!! It truly is a beautiful venue and I hope it thrives. Located in gorgeous Gruene. Come inside or out on the patio, have a cold beer, glad of wine or Old Fashioned and people watch. My favorite? Wednesday nights!! Three words: Zack. Walter. Band. Take advantage of these talented musicians. They play their own music and have a little fun taking special requests as well. Great place to bring groups. I brought some staff from the school I teach at and they can't wait to come back. Oh and it is family friendly!! Let the kids run around outside and drink away(responsibly of course). 9pm is the signal for the littles to go home.

Really nice place that seems a bit under rated to me. Has a nice patio with a spacious indoor area and a spectacular wine selection (obviously) with a full bar. Seems as though this place should have been way busier than it was for a Friday night which just means more room for you. :) I expect that this place will soon be discovered and be the hot spot to be at because the ambiance is chill, the drinks are reasonably priced, and the music when I went was excellent. If you're visiting the area and you find the wait times are ridiculously long for the better known places I'd re-route over here. Be aware that they do not serve food here but you can have it delivered so it's all good. Overall a quality spot that deserves more business for sure...definitely recommend! -McLovin

This place is very scenic and pretty. It's not too far from Gruene Hall and had great drinks. There is an indoor room and an outdoor patio. I was there to watch a native to Texas Rockabilly band. It rained while I was there and the most beautiful double rainbow appeared. I had a good whiskey sour there and a good time.

    Old fashioned done so right.

What a great venue. This is an easy five stars place. The live music is on point. And Colin makes *excellent* espresso martinis.

They don't have a full kitchen anymore but they do have plenty of snacks and drinks for purchase. The bingo games are extremely fun and they have great payouts. The woman at the cage explained the games to us very quickly, so we were still a bit confused and then totally lost once the session started because the caller did not indicating which game was being played. The buy-in price was decent (we purchased six $20 electronic tablet packages to start, so $120). However, we soon found out the majority of the games they play are on extra paper or pulltabs - only a few games were actually on the tablets, which was odd. So regardless of which "package" you buy, you'll have to buy extras to participate in all the games. We spent around $100 additional on the extras over two sessions (so overall spent about $220). Our chief complaint was constantly being bombarded by floor vendors wanting to sell us extra paper and pulltabs. They were helpful when we asked which game was being played, or how to play certain extra games (e.g., the horse races, which are extremely fast-paced). But the constant hawking is the one detractor that turned us off enough that we will not be likely to visit again. The caller spent far too much time pushing the floor vendors, asking them how many tickets they had left, etc., in the middle of games. The vendors walking around hawking tickets were an ongoing, constant distraction and this was especially annoying when they were yelling "red horse number 7" or "green horse number 11" or "only two left!" in the middle of a game -- it made it difficult to hear the caller and which number HE was calling (and he does not go slowly), especially for those of us who were not entirely familiar. Now, I fully support selling these extras IN BETWEEN GAMES. But constantly walking around shouting out game names ("Silly Goose!" "Sushi Roll!") during a round was beyond annoying. Once the game is underway, the caller should be calling the balls, and THAT IS ALL. Several regular players often shouted that he was going too fast. Other notes - some reviews state the place had food - they did not (it was Sunday afternoon). Maybe they do during the week? The website states it's BYO so we brought our own drinks and snacks. Prizes: not exciting. Part of the proceeds go to "charity" and we didn't go in expecting to win a bunch of money; we were there for entertainment. The one and only bingo our group got during TWO sessions won us a "consolation prize" on a coverall - a couple more computer tablets to play on (no money). It was disappointing that more of the take wasn't actually paid out as prizes. We were unable to find information about percentage of proceeds given to charities. Takeaway: we are unlikely to visit again.

I would go through them and pick out two cards with what I thought would be the luckiest numbers. Well I guess bingo has changed a lot since I was a kid. Now you buy a packet of bingo cards on paper that are color coded to the game you're going to play. You take this Dobber, which essentially is a container full of ink with a sponge on top, and when your number is called you dob out the number with the ink. You must go to Walmart and buy your dobber before you go. But your in luck, there's a Walmart not even half a mile down the road. My daughter wanted to go to this place when we were in town for a soccer game. My wife and I took her and found it to be enjoyable for the evening. My daughter was excited thinking she was going to win, and win big! Spoil alert, she did not win. They don't play as many games as I remember and the patterns are a little bit more complex than a straight line. If you don't like the paper, they will rent you a little computer that plays for you as you watch. I don't see how that could be fun but some people seem to like it. Also the money you can win is a lot larger than the $10-$25 I remember. Now it's more like $125-$500. The concession was a full restaurant. Dinner plates, hamburgers, hotdogs, Frito pie, popcorn, pickles, candy, homemade desserts, and the list goes on. We had popcorn, a pickle, one of the homemade dessert which was chocolate pudding whip cream with a cookie on top and a hotdog. All the food smelled good, and I have no complaints with my concession stand food. The place is pretty clean, as are the bathrooms. The staff is friendly and will explain the games and how things work if you are new to bingo. Although we had a very enjoyable evening, some things I did not like. These have nothing to do with the business. There was a change from the old style cards that you would slide over a tab that would cover your number and the amount of games being played, which are far less. One of the good things though is at the end of the night when you stood up to walk out you didn't have to stay hunched over because of the bank of smoke that would be pushed down from the ceiling till it was 3 foot off the floor from all the chainsmokers. So if you smoke, sorry you have to go outside to the front of the building. All in all if you're looking for an evening that would be different than your usual evening this is a pretty good idea. We liked it!

When I first got to Treasure island they asked me for my first & last name then proceeded to type in the computer system which I didn't understand what was going so I once again told them that I've never played there before hence all the questions that I was asking. They also asked for my date of birth, I guess they were creating a profile for me. They didn't clearly explain the games so I didn't know which games were being sold or played at the same time. They didn't explain that some games were double action and others were not. The pull tabs are very random as well, meaning that when I first got there they told me they were only playing and selling 3 pull tab games which I figured would be great but instead they started selling additional pull tabs (none of which were "all play" so you've basically been just wasting money, hoping that you get one of the horses). The parking was nice but this bingo hall is not smoke-free. I've played Bingo in several other states and in my opinion this Treasure Island Bingo Austin location charges too much to play for what you get in return. When you add the $25 machine cost with adding early birds and pull tabs for both sessions you'll be spending $400 in no time which definitely isn't worth it. They also allow the workers to play bingo while they're working which I've never seen happen at any bingo place I've played at. Overall a very weird bingo experience, I don't plan on returning back. The caller does call the numbers at a good speed.

Bingo has always been one of her favorite things on the planet, and recently, this seems to be her favorite place to go. So I agreed to tag along. It was really cozy and I liked that! When we walked in the boy spinning a prize wheel knew my mom's name. I thought that meant she has a gambling problem but turns out it's that way with a lot of the customers here. The people working here learn their regulars. I was impressed. The employees are also very friendly. There is smoking and non-smoking. Thankfully, we sat in non-smoking since we had my nephew with us. Not sure of the age limit but kids are allowed. They do have to play if attending. The did have a kitchen but it has been closed since COVID. So you're able to bring your own food and drinks...INCLUDING ALCOHOL! I didn't though because I didn't know until I got there and saw people cracking open cold ones. We stayed for both sessions which is about 3 hours total. I didn't win anything. I've never been lucky which is part of the reasons gambling and bingo in particular never appealed to me. But this was a bit different. Apparently, you can play computers. With those you really can't miss anything...you don't even really have to pay attention! That was pretty cool because I could be on Twitter getting caught up on the latest Omarion/Mario Verzuz drama while not worrying about sleeping my bingo. Really, I didn't have to worry about it because (as usual) I never came close. But you know what...I'LL BE BACK! It seemed different here then other bingo halls I've been in before. I don't know what it was. Just more relaxed and friendly here. Not that I have much to compare it to. But if you want a comfy place to pass some time around friendly people why not? Plus, my mom went the very next day and won so :/
