This is a nice restaurant. The menu can be a bit confusing with Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisine all together. The sushi was 3 out of 5 - standard. If you want good but basic this is your place. I would recommend for lunch, better bang for your buck. read more

Sakura is pretty good, it's more of a classy Asian fusion restaurant rather than a common Asian sit-down restaurant (not referring to a take-out place). The food is served in good portions and is delicious. I love the interior of the restaurant it's clean and relaxing. The staff are pretty friendly and service has always been quick for me. Went there on a quiet Thursday night. Place has upscale decor, but is actually a lot cheaper than Blue Pacific or Tokyo Diner. Particulary enjoyed the salmon and tuna sushi. A great addiition to the restaurants in downtown Lancaster. read more

I come to Lancaster for work twice a month and this is the only place we have literally visited every single visit. The sushi is fresh, the service is fast and cnsistent and the atmosphere is fine. It's clean and comfortable. If you don't like sushi the sautees (stirfries) are great, esp the Chili Basil sauce. Recommended the snow white and out of controll rolls. Love sakura. read more

Had lunch with friends today. The sushi was fabulous, great ambiance, friend staff. My friend had pad thai that had no flavor. I totally recommend the Dancing Tuna (my favorite), the Osaka (also good) and California roll. I will definitely go back for sushi when I'm in town. read more

Great sushi at an even better price. There's no need to leave the city for sushi with this place downtown! I went here on a date, and was a great place to order things to share. We had a great time chatting with our server about the various rolls and drink specials. Very good dinner tonight. Had the sushi & sashimi combo, million dollar roll which was amazing, and a dynamite roll. My co-workers who are from Texas loved it and said it was legit. I used to love this place ALOT but the quality has been going down steadily, lunch delivery is NOT FAST. Don't order lunch unless you're going into the restaurant. My favorite roll keeps getting sloppier and sloppier. My advice, try a competitor. read more

Let me start by saying, I have had the opposite experience as some who have complained about the level of service at this restaurant. My DH and I have been here twice, both times for take out, which would normally explain the issues with service. However, both times we have been treated wonderfully. The first time, it was about 15 minutes before closing when our order was complete and we picked up what we thought was our entire order. Unfortunately, there had been another order at the same time and one of our bags got mixed up and left behind. They called us as soon as they realized and kept open ten minutes after closing so we could come back and pick it up. While that may not sound like much, to us it meant everything. The second time was just the other day and we were greeted by the same nice woman who remembered my husband and gave us some extras to go with our meal, which was so very sweet of her, and she even raced out to our car to gift us with something additional. Not to mention the food itself is wonderful. The sushi is of great quality, and the tempura is crunchy and flavorful and my hubby swears he could drink the sauce. All in all, one of our favorite sushi places in Lancaster! read more

I been to the area Buffet over the last 20 yrs when it was King Buffet, And I have experience other area Sakura all with excellent service this one as well. But today after service with the family we stop by for a great meal which it was. I haven't purposely read any of the reviews on Sakura before posting this, so not to be swayed...but after eating here for (honestly) about the 700th time this past week I realized I should do a review. I LOVE this place. I normally eat lunch here but take my wife for dinner, and/or daughters for our date nights as well. Also get take-out. I've never had a bad bite of anything. There's so much variety it nevers gets monotonous. The food is terrific, unique, and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and efficient. I don't know what more to say. BUT will add one detail - in the event this comes across as partial.... you can find one of, if not the best chef's in Lancaster, Tim Carr, from world-renowned Carr's, eating at the sushi bar before his dinner rush every Saturday night. My first time here. Our waitress was awesome and super sweet! The sushi entrees and soup were very good. I had the cucumber salad and for just 4 bucks it was a lot and very filling. Would recommend this place for any novice sushi eaters or anyone who loves an Asian fusion type place. read more

I have to say I did not expect the food to be this good. So far I have came here the past 7 days straight ordering several different things. Their lunch special of 3 different sushi for $12 is awesome. I have been getting shrimp tempura, salmon, and spicy tuna. The other things I have tried was drunken noodles, pad Thai, Thai rice noodles, unagi don, Pnanang(don't know how to spell it) curry which was very very filling, and sesame chicken. All of the different plates have been very good and at a decent price. Lunch special is limited but has variety options. Overall great place for sushi, curry on rice, noodles, fish, and certain kinds of chicken. I will be back again! read more
