Sakura Grill seems to be a local favorite to get their sushi, maki, and take advantage of their lunch specials. Their menu is pretty extensive, offering various apps, salads, soup, sushi/sashimi/maki rolls, tempura, katsu, noodles, hibachi, and bento boxes. We came here for an early dinner, and we ordered: +a Filet Mignon Hibachi Dinner +a Shrimp Hibachi Dinner These were served with a choice of soup or salad, and the dish comes with a side of the grilled veggies and fried rice. The star of the show was their yum yum sauce, as it was thick, creamy, and so good with the meal; the meal itself is okay - the proteins were cooked well, albeit the shrimp was slightly overcooked and was a bit rubbery. I didn't care much for the fried rice, as it was super bland, and even adding some of the yum yum sauce didn't help. Veggies could have been less 'wet', as it was pretty liquid-y. I'd probably try out their lunch version of the hibachi, as the price point here is a bit steep, considering the quality and the amount of food that is given. Staff were friendly, and the place itself is small, with a handful of tables and some counter seating. Located in the Rolling Valley shopping center, there's ample parking in the plaza lot. +great yum yum sauce! +friendly staff +located in the Rolling Valley shopping center +ample parking in the large plaza lot

We were a group of 8 looking for a dinner spot on a Saturday night. We were craving hibachi and came across Sakura Grill so we decided to try it out. It's small but fairly quiet when we arrived so we were seated right away. I ordered the chicken hibachi with salad. Our salads came out quickly and were great. It was a simple salad of lettuce tomatoes and carrots with a delicious dressing. The chicken hibachi was a good large portion, and it came with yum yum sauce and we also requested sriracha and spicy mayo on the side as well. The chicken itself was a little chewy and very sweet tasting from the teriyaki, but the veggies and fried rice were good. The service was great and our waiter was checking on us periodically and very accommodating. One thing to note is this isn't a traditional hibachi restaurant where they cook in front of you. Everything is done in the kitchen and brought to you, so it's more of a normal restaurant feel. Overall it was a good fix for our hibachi craving.

The whole thing was amazing good food and I would definitely go again, I came in with my friends and we had a great time. I always love coming here due to the environment and service is just to great

My go-to spot suddenly closed, leaving me in a bit of a lurch! Where do I go?! We all have our favorite Chinese restaurant, and when we can't go to that one there's a little bit of a conundrum. I take American Chinese food seriously - which really means I order the same thing 98% of the time because that's my GO TO meal. As an intellectual, that is of course General Tso's chicken. Beijing Tokyo blends north and south Asia into a rather cozy, strip mall location. One person was talking obliviously on her cell phone, while the sushi Chef took orders. Until Yelp asked me if this place was romantic, I hadn't actually thought about it that way. But it is a little romantic. The tables are close together, the light is low, even if this place was full it would be... Cozy. A Chinese restaurant that's cozy is a very short leap to romantic. You can have a conversation here. I ordered my usual and waited about 10 minutes. The GTC was excellent. It had spice and flavor, but not too spicy. The fried rice was delicious. Good portion size and a good price. Two egg rolls and the total came to $25.25. No surprises, nothing out of the ordinary. If you had told me this had come from my favorite- now sadly closed - Chinese restaurant, I would have never known the difference. And there in lies what I think makes a good Chinese restaurant: predictability. American Chinese food is a distinct cuisine with the same menus, the same waving Buddah and melamine plates. The difference is quality, and the taste of your favorite meal. I am sad that my favorite place closed, but Beijing Tokyo is my new Chinese food restaurant, and I think it's pretty darn good.

We ordered Seaweed Salad, Golden Triangle, Spicy Tuna Roll, and Avocado & Cucumber Roll to share. My husband had a Happy Hour beer. The rolls, salad and Golden Triangle were all good. We probably didn't need entrees after the apps, but we had them anyway. I had the spicy Thai Eggplant with vegetables. The veggies were super fresh. Their medium spicy was really hot for me! The meal was delicious. My husband had the Chicken Pad Thai. The portion was generous, the chicken was tender and he said the dish was tasty. My brother had the Thai Ginger with Pork, which is a favorite of his. The dining room is light and airy with subtle Asian decor. Seating was comfortable and we stayed a long time eating and chatting. They are located in a busy strip mall and parking can be tight. We parked on the far side of the lot.

Decided hibachi would be fun for a family gathering. Found this place randomly and returned 3x. They accept walk-in's and take reservations. It's easy to make reservations either online on their website or placing a phone call. All the employees here are very friendly and service was efficient. They have a waiting area near the front if your table is not ready. The first time we came we didn't make reservations and since it was a weekend, we waited 30 mins roughly. It wasn't too bad because the waiting area had seats, a tv, and decor to keep you relaxed while waiting. We've had 2 different chefs the 3x we went. I think the employees here have a good memory bc they recognized us the third time we went. We don't go consistently back to back so we were surprised considering it gets busy there and it's next to college, I imagine they get different people in and out. I find the chefs are very fun and go with the flow of the table. One night we went it was a quieter crowd so they adjusted to that temperament. They do the same fun tricks that get a laugh. The consistency in quality of the food was great. All three times had no issues with the food. They make note of your allergies which is great as one person in our party was allergic to seafood. The portion size is really good that if you decided to have an appetizer you could probably save half of your food to take home. I've gotten steak all three times, people in my party did steak and scallops. No complaints. You get soup and salad with your hibachi picks. And it comes with fried rice or white rice, noodles, shrimp, and veggies. I haven't tied the sushi but plan to try it next time I go. Passing by the area where people ordered sushi I will say it looked amazing. I find you get what you paid for here and it's worth it. I wish I did get some photos but we were so busy easy and enjoying our time it slipped my mind.

So we made the 90 minute drive. The place has such an aesthetic vibe it just seems like a very cool place. And our server was very helpful and amazing with us. But I guess what was disappointing was the lack of choices, and even fresh choices on the conveyor belt. And the rolls and food we ordered that came on the mini train, as fun and exciting as it was, was inconsistent. Some rolls hit the spot and I wish I could just reorder over and over. Others were hard to eat, mainly because there was a lot of rice and you could hardly taste the quality of the seafood. I don't know if we just came on an in busy night or a busy time (a Sunday night around 5:30) but the expectation of more quality choices on conveyor belt and more consistent rolls I think would have helped us to justify the drive. Did we still enjoy ourself? Yes. And I would totally make the drive over and over IF I know that the quality of the rolls and the choices of the conveyor belt were what would consider worth it. The verdict is still out there.

As kind of a takeoff on the typical 1950's diner theme, BGR has an 80's rock theme, both in the music they play and the wall decorations. You go to the counter, place your order and they give you a buzzer to alert you that your meal is ready. I ordered the basic "The Burger". I like that in placing your order, you can explicitly specify what condiments and toppings you want on your burger. I also appreciate that each table has its own set of condiments and paper towels. Okay, cutting to the chase, how was my burger? In a big way, it comes down to if you prefer flame-broiled or griddle-cooked meat. Myself, I prefer griddle-cooked. Flame-broiled reminds me of Burger King burgers. BGR burgers are flame-broiled, so I don't love the taste of BGR meat, but it's still good. So If you like flame-broiled, you'll love BGR burgers. I was kinda surprised at the burger bun. It looked like a Brioche bun which is notorious for falling apart, but the BGR bun is sturdy and holds up well.
